Is this the end for Saraki? It is politically wise he quickly jumps on board and shows his loyalty to Atiku. With this win, Atiku automatically becomes the new PDP leader. Saraki will need the PDP support, if he will survive the onslaught that will follow when the APC comes for his Senate Presidency. My only joy in this, is that we have two candidates that Obasanjo hates, and they hate Obasanjo too. This means, for the first time since Obasanjo joined the Army in 1958, he will not have a say in what happens in Nigeria. Since 1958, that shrine in Ota,somehow has to have a say in whatever happens in Nigeria. Good riddance to bad rubbish. |
Ketaokeipheoma:I usually ignore it thinking it will go away. Time I set get record straight. |
Hmmm. |
Wike the learner. Party Federal politics, is not State politics. |
Congratulations Sir, Once upon a time in Nigeria,we use to wish each other well across party lines. May the best for Nigeria, rule Nigeria. |
BRASH:Just call me an APC supporter. Thank you so much. |
Laughing. Saraki lost the PDP primary, so which former Governor are we targeting again?laughing. To username: BRASH I feel this is a good time to address this BMC thing. You referred to me as a BMC member. I don't know if such a group exists, but I am neither affiliated to any political group here or anywhere, get paid or even have a relationship with anyone here outside Nairaland where we discuss political matters. The last time I got paid by the Government was when I was serving and that was N7500,and a long time ago. I write as i feel and not explainable to both the APC or PDP here. If there are people getting paid to support any political party here, then I make bold to say I consider that person a FAILURE in life and should look for something to do with his/her life. I will appreciate I am not associated with this BMC thing. It is starting to become insultive. Thank you. |
M16:Thanks for the clarification. I know he was their leader. |
PassingShot:You might be correct that I am naive. But you can also check out how many times Buhari lost, before the Anti- Jonathan sentiment pushed him into power. |
Cool. |
This is fake. |
Okoroawusa:If Atiku wins this primary, the APC should be very bothered. I am bothered. |
If Atiku emerges, the APC has a fight in their hands. I mean, if Atiku emerges the flagbearer of the PDP, every single vote in Nigeria will be fought for to the end. I was wishing it will be Saraki, which would have been a walk in the park for the APC. But an Atiku victory at their convention? there is too much Anti-Buhari sentiment around, that a cunny old fox like Atiku can tap into and utilize. I am just a realist, who has suddenly come to the logical conclusion that it is only an Atiku that has the war-chest to match the APC anywhere in Nigeria. Hopefully Tambuwal wins, and we avert a nightmare scenario. So let me repeat this to all APC members. Atiku Abubakar is not a walk in the park, as he knows his way around the Federal and State system of working. This man single handedly formed the powerful wing of the PDP(PDM) even If Obasanjo used his Presidential powers to push him out. It is an ELECTION in 2019. Modified: someone just said I am naive, and that Buhari has a solid base than Atiku, and one said they will open the CBN to just take money and fight Atiku. To the 2 of you, this was the same thing said about Buhari. He was a serial loser. He had no political base. He had no money. You guys keep forgetting the anger and anti-sentiments against Jonathan by Nigerians. As an APC supporter,I will be the first to tell you a lot of Nigerians are angry with Buhari, and the APC should get their act together before the election or we lose it to Atiku. Let us stop deceiving ourselves it is well. |
What happened to him? |
His point exactly? The trivialization of the Nigeria Political process, especially in this political dispensation is starting to be really irritating. If this guy set out to impress anyone, then he has been able to display his stupidity, instead of some common sense. How did I even end up supporting the APC party with people like this inside? I need to go check myself. |
Everyone should calm down. Adams Oshiomole should walk back his style of leadership and start showing a little bit of class. I know you can go to school, and still come out, without imbibing that professional decorum of treating others with respect. But he should try some. Adams Oshiomole should stop acting like a market woman, and instead act like someone befitting to be the Chairman of a great party like the APC. Then as regards Goodluck Jonathan. There are some things that are beneath a person or the position you held before. You are the former President of Nigeria, and it is not everything written or spoken about you, that you should reply to. All political parties buy votes. It did not start in 1999. And even if no evidence is provided, It is good politics to accuse the opposition of buying votes. So why is this accusation hurting Goodluck Jonathan? Anyway. President Goodluck Jonathan, I still consider you the most clueless man that has ever ruled Nigeria, if that will make you feel any better. |
Good morning lalasticlala and Mynd44 |
Rubbish. How can a man of God not know that domestic violence is evil?why should a man even strike a woman?any woman at all?how can you justify it biblically that is it wrong for a woman to save her life by walking away from an abusive husband? Sadly, this is where religion and fake pastors have taken us to now. A woman that decides to stay in an abusive marriage, just because she wants to have the honour of being called a " Mrs" by all means, will one day realise her life is not worth. That is,if she makes it out alive. So how did this hack become a pastor? |
Shelumiel:There is 2019 on the banner. It cannot be old. |
Mumu man. Eye Service kill you there. What a big fool. Same problem I have with some of all these paid BMC people, who 9 out of 10 times seems not to be with their senses. How can one able man wrap a banner around himself, with the promise to kill himself if one politician from Daura loses?even the son of the President is not ready to die for his own father. Dumb stunt. |
Milllz:Politics is a dirty game. |
It's all good. |
Complete rubbish. Complete senseless post. This is how foreign Governments/ entities use their financial think tank bodies to influence the election of countries they term "Banana Republics" in Private. Was HSBC not there when the European markets when into the global recession some years back?they should keep their stupid economic predictions to themselves. We in Nigeria are doing okay. Same Economist that predicted an Hillary win?laughing. Did this article say the PDP will win?the brain is a beautiful thing to waste. And that advice is to the THISDAY Newspapers Editorial room. |
Interesting. Just when I was looking at Rivers,Delta and Osun and some other states, for some needed political drama as regards the next election. I did not even know Lagos is going to be the Grand Royale. It is going down in Lagos. Otedola is about to be schooled about life and politics in lagos.By the time they are done with him, he will not only be a Millionaire from the Billionaire club. He will also be facing different litigations in Courts from Lagos State, who will now discover he has not been paying taxes on everything he has, and that includes the toilet he uses. This is one mistake this man will not recover from. |
