The True Story of How Adesuwa Motors International Made Moves To Settle Aggrieved Customer's Bad Deal Ever since the traumatizing, wrongful accusations of the FBI on Adesuwa Ogiozee, it has been hell of a task to resolve numerous backlog transactions the over four years ordeal berthed. She had since then being in severel financial situations with some of her customers due to the expenses absorbed in legal fees, attorneys, international law enforcers, courts and more; in proving her innocence. It was her quest and pursuit for the truth that brought a resolve and clarity that ended the ordeal. She was the one that actually assisted the fbi in resolving the situation- by providing resources for international law enforcer to go after the culprit in Africa who was arrested after several trails. The feds then flew down to Nigeria to interrogate and confirm Adesuwa's side of the story which led to the case dismissal with prejudice. This has cost her everything including a business she built over a decade and her source of livelihood due to the extensive and unnecessary home confinement that lasted years with a monitoring bracelet. She had since then been battling numerous court cases from customers that the FBI situation affected; Including this particular customer. It seems her life might never be the same again. As she is currently still suffering from major post trauma issues. Briggs Egharevba is one of those difficult customers people come across in businesses. contrary to his complaints, this was only a failed business transaction due to the said circumstances. According to a story on a blog, Egharevba is accusing Adesuwa of 139million naira involving the purchase of a luxury car. He further alleged that months after he initiated payment, no car was shipped to him. But he conveniently skipped the part where over seventy percent of his money has been refunded to him by Adesuwa. This was simply a case of a delayed transaction occasioned by her ordeal. It is public knowledge that FBI's improper investigation, wrongful profiling, indictment, extensive confinement, charges are what orchestrated Adesuwa's ordeal. Thankfully, she was given a clean bill of health after the International law enforcers stepped in and helped resolve the situation. Apparently, her ordeal in the hands of the FBI affected the smooth running of her business - resulting in her inability to deliver the car. Adesuwa have since then, made efforts to address the issue by engaging the service of mediators, lawyers and others to help settle the matter but Egharevba was adamant, threatening and insisting on interests, pecentages and dollars even though all his payments were made in Naira. To make matters worse, he consulted an America blog to report a one-sided story. Contrary to his report, she had started the process of the car acquisition but got stalled due to the FBI brouhaha. According to her, she had even refunded most of Egharevba's money despite his attempt to stall the settlement process by not providing a Nigerian account as he consistently covers part of his account numbers in all document available. Adesuwa despite her predicament is working to gradually settle amicably every customer affected by her ordeal. And she is gradually getting back to work, taking things one step at a time.

THE INDISPENSABLE PILLAR: SPIRITUAL WARFARE AND MY ENDORSEMENT OF GOVERNOR ZULUM'S LEADERSHIP In the ongoing, multi-faceted war against terror, a critical pillar of strategy continues to be validated by events on the ground. It was with a profound sense of affirmation that I witnessed His Excellency, Professor Babagana Zulum, the resilient Governor of Borno State, take a decisive step in November 2025 by declaring a statewide day of fasting and prayer. His action underscores a timeless military truth: to secure a nation, you must fortify its spirit. Governor Zulum, who has shouldered the immense burden of leading a state at the epicentre of this conflict, addressed his people with a clarity that resonates with my long-held convictions. He declared, “As a people of faith, we believe our security strategies must be underpinned by prayer.” This is not a retreat from practical action, but the strengthening of its very foundation. His call for unity across faiths is a masterstroke of leadership, recognizing that the fight for peace demands a unity of purpose that transcends all man-made divisions. This move by the Governor provides a powerful, contemporary vindication of the philosophy I advocated during my tenure. It is a living example of the principle so brilliantly articulated by the late Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, who demonstrated through historical and global lenses that spiritual warfare is not a sign of desperation, but a component of comprehensive strategy. From the divine interventions that shaped ancient battles to the acknowledged use of spiritual resources by modern intelligence agencies, the pattern is clear. Governor Zulum’s declaration is this principle in action, tailored to the heart and soul of Nigeria. The moment calls not for revisiting past criticisms, but for unified national action. The focus must remain on empowering our gallant security forces with every necessary resource while simultaneously mobilizing the nation's spiritual strength. I stand firmly with Governor Zulum and urge the Federal Government and all Nigerians to embrace this dual approach. Let us apply overwhelming kinetic force against those who seek to destroy us, and let us undergird this effort with the formidable power of collective prayer and faith. The path to a secure and prosperous Nigeria requires us to fight on every front. The courage of our soldiers on the physical battlefield must be met with the unwavering faith of the nation on the spiritual one. It is this confluence of resolve that will herald our final and lasting victory. Lt Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai (Rtd) CFR Former Chief of Army Staff, Nigerian Army

Buratai Tasks ACF on Bold Northern Agenda, Food Security and National Unity at 25th Anniversary Former Chief of Army Staff and former Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai (Rtd), has congratulated the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) on its 25th anniversary, urging the organisation to spearhead a new era of purposeful leadership, regional development, and national cohesion. In a goodwill message issued on November 20 in Kaduna to mark the Forum’s Silver Jubilee, Buratai described the ACF as an “indispensable pillar” that has consistently championed unity, peace, and progress in Northern Nigeria over the past quarter-century. He commended the Forum for sustaining the values of integrity, dialogue, and inclusiveness laid down by the region’s founding leaders, noting that the ACF has remained a critical platform for confronting the North’s most pressing developmental challenges. Buratai, however, stressed that the next 25 years require a more strategic and proactive ACF—one capable of shaping a coherent, home-grown Northern agenda anchored on security, good governance, education, and economic prosperity. “True political neutrality cannot mean the absence of political direction,” he said. “The North must develop a coherent agenda and the ACF must take the lead, supporting state governments and promoting accountability. Our challenges require robust regional solutions, not over-reliance on the federal government.” Expressing concern over the region’s persistent food insecurity despite its vast arable land, Buratai described the situation as a “profound paradox.” He urged Northern leaders to make decisive investments in agriculture and warned against expending public resources on what he termed “intangible infrastructure” at the expense of programmes capable of transforming the region’s agricultural potential. “With modern, large-scale farming and youth engagement in agribusiness, the North can conquer hunger, curb inflation, and become the nation’s true breadbasket,” he said. “We must transform our youth from a security challenge into the engine of our prosperity.” The retired General challenged the ACF to serve as the “primary architect” of Northern Nigeria’s long-term development vision over the next quarter-century. He urged the Forum to champion transparency, mentor emerging leaders, and demand performance across regional institutions. He also hailed the launch of the ACF Endowment Fund as a major step toward strengthening the organisation’s capacity to drive sustainable transformation. Buratai emphasised that Northern development cannot be pursued in isolation from national unity. He urged the ACF and Northern governors to create an environment where all Nigerians—particularly southerners—feel safe, welcome, and protected in the region. “It is both a moral duty and an economic imperative,” he said. “We must assure all Nigerians that their legitimate businesses and security are non-negotiable. And we must expect the same reciprocal commitment from Southern states. This mutual assurance is the bedrock of true national integration.” He further called on the North to consistently champion justice, fairness, and equitable representation at the national level, stressing that the region’s prosperity is inseparable from that of the entire country. As he honoured the legacy of Sir Ahmadu Bello and other Northern founding fathers, Buratai urged the ACF to use its Silver Jubilee as a catalyst for renewed commitment to a just, secure, and united Nigeria

Estate surveyors tasked on national security, economic stability Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd), has urged estate surveyors and valuers to strengthen professional ethics, embrace technology responsibly, and uphold transparency as tools for advancing national security and economic stability. Delivering the keynote address at the 2025 Valuers Assembly in Lagos, themed “50 Years of Regulatory Excellence: Golden Legacies and Brighter Tomorrow,” and organised by the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON), Buratai described the real estate sector as a “strategic pillar” of economic growth and peace building. He warned that the proliferation of quackery, inadequate data, and unchecked technological disruption were eroding public confidence in the profession. “The profession faces an insurgency of quackery. Unqualified individuals continue to defraud the public, undermining credibility. While technology offers efficiency, it must not replace the professional judgment and ethical responsibility that define true valuation practice,” Buratai said. Commending ESVARBON for five decades of regulatory excellence, he called for stronger collaboration between valuers and security agencies such as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) and Ministry of Interior to curb money laundering, promote transparency in land transactions, and prevent conflicts arising from land disputes. He also urged the establishment of a central, secure property transaction database, describing estate valuers as “custodians of national wealth and guardians of economic security. “You are not merely appraisers of buildings and land, your work safeguards national stability. Every ethical valuation strengthens the foundation of peace and prosperity,” he noted. Acting Chairman of ESVARBON, Prof. Terzungwe Dugeri, said the assembly held special significance as it marked the board’s golden jubilee. He noted that from a modest beginning of just over 100 registered valuers in 1975, the board now has 7,534 members and continues to build capacity to sustain professional excellence. Dugeri emphasised that ethics, sustainability, and governance (ESG) must take centre stage in valuation practice. “The issues of Environment, Sustainability and Governance must now define estate valuation. Valuers must align with other professionals to promote responsible land use and sustainable development,” he said. He described the assembly as both a reunion and a forum for reflection, allowing members to review past milestones and strategise for the future. Earlier, Chairman of the Professional Practice Committee (PPC), Dr Aminu Waziri, said the gathering was designed to promote knowledge sharing, professional growth, and ethical compliance. He added that discussions were focusing on the impact of technology, emerging valuation trends, and the integration of ESG principles. Waziri disclosed that a Nigerian valuer recently developed a property estimation app that enables real-time valuation processes, a development he described as a ‘new dawn’ for the profession. The Registrar, ESVARBON, Janet Shehu, said the yearly programme deliberates on matters such as ethics, standards, and other professional matters in the built industry. “The board expects the highest level of compliance with ethical standards in every aspect of the profession,” she added.

Buratai, Gambari, Bajowa, others to discuss national security at Lagos conference Amidst escalating issues within the nation’s security architecture, the Institute of Security Nigeria (ISN) will host its 18th international conference in Lagos on Saturday, 29 November 2025, with top political office holders, security chieftains, diplomats, traditional rulers, academia and media practitioners in attendance. The conference, with the theme ‘Expanding the Frontiers of Innovations in Security Enhancement and Nation Building in Nigeria’ will be attended by a former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd.), who will deliver the keynote address. Other personalities are a former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, Major General Olu Bajowa (rtd.); Nigeria’s former Permanent Representative in the United Nations, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, among others. ISN’s Deputy President/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Adebayo Akinade explained that the conference would illuminate practical innovations for the strengthening of national security, while safeguarding rights and democratic governance; share evidence-based policies and operational best practices across the security ecosystem; forge actionable public-private-civic partnerships for prevention, protection, response and recovery; and identity legislative, institutional and technological reforms for sustainable impact. According to him, ‘Nigeria’s security renewal hinges on innovation, anchored in law, oversight ethics and human security. ‘Technology without governance is insufficient. Governance without capacity is ineffective. Collaboration between federal, states, local governments, communities and the private sector must be systematic and not episodic. With sustained political will and professional leadership, reforms are achievable within a relatively short period and will deliver measurable improvements in safety, confidence and national development’. The conference is expected to attract thousands of physical and virtual participants, including senior officers from the Armed Forces, the Police, the Department of State Services, the academia, civil servants, corporate security directors, the media and student groups, among others.

National Advocates Rebuke Falana Over Inflammatory Gaduwa-Zaria Comment Abuja – Human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Femi Falana, has come under intense criticism following remarks in which he compared a routine civil-military incident in Gaduwa to the tragic 2015 Zaria event. The statements, widely described as reckless and inflammatory, drew sharp condemnation from the Concerned Defenders of National Consciousness and Integrity (CDNCI), a civil society group committed to safeguarding national memory and integrity. In a strongly worded statement released on Saturday, the group accused Falana of engaging in “malicious and intellectually dishonest rhetoric” that diminishes the gravity of the Zaria tragedy. “To invoke the profound pain of Zaria—a complex event that shook the nation—as a flippant 'what if' scenario over a land dispute is the height of irresponsibility,” the statement said. The CDNCI further emphasized that military generals are custodians of the state, sworn to protect Nigeria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. “To reduce this sacred responsibility to a crude analogy in a political dispute is an unforgivable display of ignorance regarding governance and statecraft,” the statement added. The civil society group also questioned Falana’s motivations, suggesting that his comments marked a departure from the principled advocacy for which he has long been known. “This is the undignified downfall of a man once regarded as a social crusader. He has traded his mantle of social advocacy for political expediency,” the statement read. The CDNCI called on Falana to issue a “profound and unequivocal apology” to the Nigerian people, the Armed Forces, and the families affected by past conflicts. The group warned that failure to do so could “cement his legacy not as a defender of the people, but as a merchant of discord.” Falana’s comments, and the backlash they have sparked, underscore the sensitive nature of national memory in Nigeria and the expectations placed on public figures to uphold civil discourse. |
Civil Society Coalition Demands Apology From Wike Over Remarks Against Buratai A coalition of civil society organisations has condemned the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, over recent comments made against former Chief of Army Staff and ex-Ambassador to Benin Republic, Lt. General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd.), describing the remarks as “reckless, inconsistent, and lacking in evidence.” The Coalition of Civil Society Groups Against Terrorism in Nigeria issued the strong-worded response on Thursday, urging the Minister to either present concrete proof to substantiate his allegations or tender an unreserved public apology to both Buratai and the Nigerian public. Coalition Faults Wike’s “Shifting Allegations” In a statement signed by its Convener, Comrade Oladimeji Odeyemi; Secretary, Barr. John Atani; and Public Relations Officer, Comrade Jide Alofe, the coalition accused Wike of making “inflammatory and unsubstantiated” claims that undermine public trust. The group alleged that the Minister had a “pattern of shifting accusations,” noting that similar claims had been previously directed at a former GOC and ex-Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, before resurfacing years later with Buratai as the new target. “Consistency is born of truth; inconsistency is borne of convenience,” the coalition said. “Nigerians remember who was accused originally, and they can see that this sudden redirection raises questions about motive, timing, and credibility.” Calls for Evidence Instead of Political Drama The coalition challenged Wike to submit any proof he has about alleged electoral malpractice or wrongdoing by Buratai to the appropriate investigative authorities. It said public grandstanding without verifiable documentation amounted to “political theatre” rather than accountability. “In a democracy governed by law, allegations do not become facts simply because they are made at a press conference,” the group said. “If the Minister truly has evidence, he should step away from the microphone and step into the courtroom.” Buratai’s Service Record Defended The coalition highlighted Buratai’s decades-long service in the Nigerian Army—spanning from 1983 to his tenure as the 20th Chief of Army Staff—and his subsequent diplomatic role, describing him as a “national icon whose contributions to Nigeria’s security and global representation remain undeniable.” They argued that comparing a retired military leader with a lifetime of national service to a partisan political figure was “deeply unfair,” adding that Wike’s own political ambitions, including his failed 2022 presidential primary bid, should not be used as a platform for “attacking a national hero.” Demand for Public Apology The group urged the FCT Minister to retract his comments and apologise to Buratai, stressing that a public office holder is expected to display restraint, civility, and respect for national institutions. “The language employed by the Minister is beneath the dignity of his office,” the coalition stated. “It is an insult not just to General Buratai, but to Nigerians who value truth, honour, and responsible public leadership.” A Broader Call for National Decorum Concluding its response, the coalition appealed to Nigerians to uphold respect for national heroes and avoid allowing political rivalries to distort historical facts or tarnish the reputation of those who served the country with distinction. “Ambassador Buratai represents the best of Nigeria’s values—duty, sacrifice, and honour,” the statement read. “We will not remain silent while his record is undermined by baseless claims.” |

In a message originally shared on the ministry’s official social media page in July 2025, Prophet Aitafo cautioned that the planned protests would initially appear as citizens’ uprisings against poor governance but would be hijacked by powerful sponsors and dark interests, leading to widespread unrest and destruction. > “Let’s pray for some deadly protests that are still coming in various countries of the world,” the prophet warned. “It will be like people are tired of the government and want to revolt or fight the government. Let’s pray it should not start, because it is sponsored and will be hijacked.” The message has resurfaced online following renewed tension and protest movements in parts of Africa — including Tanzania — as well as Europe and the Middle East, drawing fresh attention to what many describe as a timely and accurate prophetic caution. Prophet Aitafo urged Christians worldwide to intercede for divine mercy, warning that without prayer, the protests could lead to “serious havoc, bloodshed, and chaos” across nations. “This is not a message of fear, but a call to prayer,” he emphasized. The prophetic post, captioned “Vision!!!”, also contained calls for prayer for global peace and protection over prominent spiritual and entertainment figures in Nigeria, which many followers interpreted as part of a broader spiritual warning about the turbulent times facing nations. Known for his messages of revival, unity, and divine preservation, Prophet Kingsley Aitafo reaffirmed that prayer remains the ultimate weapon against the wave of political and social turmoil threatening the world. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray…” he reminded, quoting 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Mutual Security, Shared Prosperity: A Strategic Path Beyond the US–Nigeria Stalemate By Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai (Rtd), former Chief of Army Staff and Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin The current confrontation between the United States and Nigeria, ignited by the spectre of foreign military intervention, represents a perilous crossroads. This is a moment charged with the danger of catastrophic miscalculation, yet it also holds the potential for a more resilient and mutually advantageous alliance. The "Christian genocide" narrative is a dangerously reductive distortion of Nigeria's intricate realities. For the United States, acting on this fallacy would be a profound strategic blunder; for Nigeria, it constitutes an existential menace. To retreat from this brink, both nations must transcend immediate political posturing and acknowledge their fundamental, aligned interests in lasting stability and shared economic advancement. For the United States, a coercive, militaristic approach is a blueprint for strategic defeat. Public ultimatums and intimidation directed at a sovereign nation of Nigeria’s stature—Africa's largest economy and most populous democracy—weaken, not strengthen, American credibility. This stance forcibly unites a diverse Nigeria against a common external aggressor, framing the US as a neo-colonial power instead of a trusted ally. It actively propels a nation of over 200 million people—and potentially the entire Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS)—deeper into the strategic embrace of rivals like China and Russia, who stand ready to exploit an American retreat. The objective of safeguarding religious liberty, however principled, will never be achieved by triggering a national collapse. A destabilized Nigeria would unleash a maelstrom of instability across West Africa, intensifying the very security and migration challenges the US aims to contain. The wiser, more sustainable course for the US is an unequivocal pivot from public coercion to resolute, private collaboration. This demands an immediate de-escalation of rhetoric and the replacement of threats with concrete offers of advanced intelligence collaboration, specialized counter-insurgency training, and security aid precisely calibrated to Nigeria’s unique threats in the Middle Belt and North-East. Policy must be grounded in verified data, not inflammatory fiction, facilitated by bipartisan congressional visits to witness the conflict's complex dynamics firsthand. Crucially, the US must recognize that Nigeria's economic vision, embodied by the transformative Dangote Refinery, represents a monumental opportunity, not a threat. By initiating high-level strategic engagement and positioning American enterprise as the primary partner in this burgeoning energy sector, the US can secure its interests through synergy, not sanctions. A stable, prosperous Nigeria is an infinitely more valuable ally than a fractured, dependent state. For Nigeria, this crisis is a piercing alarm bell highlighting the dangers of diplomatic smugness. The government’s strategic silence in the face of a corrosive global narrative has become a critical national security liability. Nigeria’s rejoinder can not rest on indignant denials; it must be a swift, sophisticated, and assertive campaign to reclaim its narrative. This requires an immediate diplomatic surge: enlisting world-class international firms to advocate effectively in Washington, immediately deploying ambassadors to key capitals as a national priority, and dispatching high-level delegations of esteemed Christian and Muslim leaders to directly dismantle the genocide falsehood before US decision-makers. Nigeria’s communication must be unyielding on sovereignty yet strategically diplomatic, avoiding an unproductive public feud. The focus must be on recasting the crisis as a unified struggle against terrorism and banditry afflicting all citizens and on amplifying the authoritative voices of prominent Nigerian Christian leaders who explicitly contradict the imported narrative. Most critically, this is a definitive moment for national solidarity. The threat to Nigeria’s sovereignty and corporate existence demands that every citizen, Muslim and Christian alike, rally with unwavering unity behind the government. We must present an impregnable front against external interference. Our ultimate argument, however, will be demonstrable progress. Accelerating comprehensive security overhauls to show concrete outcomes and doing everything necessary to guarantee the triumph of economic self-sufficiency ventures like the Dangote Refinery are our most potent shields. A nation that demonstrably conquers its own challenges and stands united against internal schisms offers no justification for foreign intrusion. The path forward is unequivocal. The United States must recognize that genuine partnership, not heavy-handed pressure, is the sole means to positively influence Nigeria and secure its own long-term interests in a stable and prosperous Africa. Nigeria must awaken to the reality that its sovereignty in an interconnected world hinges on a dynamic, articulate foreign policy that projects its multifaceted truth. This stalemate need not be a zero-sum contest. By choosing earnest dialogue over public diatribes and committed collaboration over destructive confrontation, both nations can forge this crisis into the cornerstone of a more robust, respectful, and productive relationship. The alternative—a descent into mutual suspicion and escalation—serves no one and jeopardizes everything. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17MQ6ZeDQ9/

Weeks After Prophet Kingsley’s Vision, 16 Military Officers Detained Over Alleged Coup Plot On October 7th, Prophet Kingsley of Oneness in Christ Ministry shared a divine warning: “I saw this clear vision by grace… I saw a kind of silence in the government of this present administration. It was a kind of pondering — where is the President? Is he sick? What must have happened? Let’s all put him in our prayers.” Just weeks later, reports have emerged of an alleged coup plot and the detention of 16 senior military officers, sparking widespread silence and tension within the government — just as the man of God foresaw. This is yet another confirmation that the voice of prophecy is still alive, and God continues to speak through His servants concerning nations and leaders. 📖 Amos 3:7 — “Surely the Lord GOD does nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” Let’s continue to pray for Nigeria, for divine peace, and for the protection of God’s servant, Prophet Kingsley, as he continues to stand as a watchman over the nation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOrJ2-x3sQ8?si=4KT_n3LP9pbEXv0R #ProphecyConfirmed #ProphetKingsley #OnenessInChristMinistry #Nigeria #CoupPlot #GodStillSpeaks #WatchAndPray |

MASSIVE SUPPORT FOR NEW RIGASA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AS AFAKA COMMITTEE SUBMITS 318,600 SIGNATURE PETITION In a significant step towards the creation of a new Local Government Area, the Afaka Ward Technical Working Committee for the proposed Rigasa Local Government has formally handed over data containing 318,600 signatures of supporters to the Central Working Committee (CWC). The handover ceremony, which took place at the Skill Acquisition Centre in Mando Sabon Garin Afaka, was witnessed by a broad coalition of Afaka ward stakeholders, including traditional rulers, religious leaders, and youth representatives. The Chairman of the Technical Committee, Tasiu Musa, while presenting the data, clarified that the 318,600 figure represents a significant portion of public support but is not the ward's total population. He stated that the enumeration was halted due to constraints of time and finances needed to support supervisors and enumerators. He expressed profound gratitude to the Central Working Committee for its financial backing, which made the extensive data collection possible. In his address, the Chairman of the Central Working Committee, Alhaji Muazu Abubakar Mohamed Ruma (Tafidan Afaka), commended the technical working Committee for its diligence in achieving the milestone. He then issued a strong appeal to the National Assembly and the Executive arm of the government, urging them to prioritize the creation of the Rigasa Local Government with its Headquarters in Sabon Garin Afaka. “With this overwhelming number, it is clear that the people have spoken. The combined population of just Rigasa and Afaka is over five million,” Alhaji Ruma noted. “The creation of this Local Government should be a priority for all arms of government to bring governance closer to the people.” The event featured addresses from prominent religious leaders who unanimously threw their weight behind the movement and praised the efforts of both committees. Malam Bashir Adam Saleh Algoni, the Deputy Imam of Zangon Daura Jumma’at Mosque in Mando Sabon Garin Afaka, applauded the initiative and the meticulous work of the committees. He offered prayers for the success of the proposal and for divine guidance for the government in considering the request. Similarly, Sheik Muhammadu Salisu Musa Sudais, the Chief Imam of Sudais Jumma’at Mosque and Hayin Idi Musa Jumma’at Mosque in Mando, described the movement as a righteous struggle for development. He commended the Central and Technical Working Committees for a job well done and prayed for unity and progress. In a show of cross faith solidarity, Reverend Job David Abubakar, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Airport Afaka, also expressed full support. He joined his voice in appreciating the committees for their dedication and service to the community. Reverend Abubakar further offered prayers, asking for divine intervention so that “those who are going against this movement may come back to their senses and join hands to move Afaka ward forward for the collective good.” This submission from Afaka Ward follows the earlier completion and submission of data from the Rigasa ward, consolidating the widespread demand for the new local government creation. The movement now awaits the consideration of the state and national assemblies.

In a statement signed by the National President, Femi Oyewale, NASRE congratulated the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Air Staff, and Chief of Defence Intelligence, urging them to inject fresh energy, strategic thinking, and measurable results into the task of safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and ensuring peace across all regions. It therefore called on the new military leadership to adopt intelligence-driven tactics, strengthen inter-agency collaboration, and rebuild the trust between security operatives and the citizens they serve. NASRE also emphasized the need for the Service Chiefs to prioritize the welfare of officers and men in uniform, ensuring that those on the frontlines are adequately equipped, trained, and motivated. The Association further urged strict adherence to human rights principles in all operations to promote harmony between security agencies and civilian communities. The editors described the new appointments as an opportunity for the armed forces to reinforce discipline, transparency, and accountability within their ranks. Leadership by example, NASRE stressed, will not only inspire confidence among troops but also rebuild public trust in the military institution. It pledged to support the new Service Chiefs in ensuring clear communication of government policies, security updates, and public enlightenment initiatives that promote mutual understanding and confidence between the armed forces and Nigerians. The Association pledged continuous support to the Nigerian government and security agencies through fair and factual reportage, reiterating its commitment to highlighting efforts that promote peace, unity, and stability across the federation. Concluding, NASRE charged the new Service Chiefs to justify the confidence reposed in them by the President and the Nigerian people through outstanding performance, unwavering patriotism, and visible progress in the protection of lives and property nationwide.

Buratai Calls for Strengthened Peace-Time Interoperability Among African Land Forces Kigali, Rwanda — October 22, 2025 Former Nigerian Chief of Army Staff and ex-ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd) has called on African military leaders to strengthen interoperability and communication systems during peace time, emphasizing that effective collaboration should not begin only when conflicts erupt. Buratai made this call while speaking during a panel session at the Land Forces Commanders Symposium (LFCS) 2025, held in Kigali, Rwanda, from October 20 to 22, 2025. The annual forum brought together senior army chiefs, defence officials, and strategic thinkers from across Africa and beyond to discuss the theme: “Leveraging Land Forces Capabilities for Enhanced Implementation of Peace and Security Strategies.” Hosted by the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), the symposium deliberated on contemporary defence and security issues affecting Africa's military. One of the sub-themes discussed by Gen Buratai is 'Enhancing Interoperability among Land Forces in Africa and beyond,' which explored the technical, procedural, and human dimensions necessary for joint military effectiveness. Buratai’s Practical Reflections on Africa’s Security Cooperation In his remarks, Buratai expressed appreciation to the Rwanda Defence Force for the invitation, recalling his last visit to Kigali in 2017 as Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff. Reflecting on his experiences, he stressed that Africa’s defence forces must establish mechanisms for rapid, reliable communication and coordination during peace, not only in crisis situations. “We don’t have to wait until operations begin before we start communicating efficiently,” he noted. “There must be a deliberate effort to create seamless, continent-wide communication frameworks among our armies.” Citing his experience as Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF)—which comprises troops from Nigeria, Chad, Niger, Cameroon, and Benin Republic—Buratai highlighted that “Incompatibility of communication systems, disparities in training and doctrine, and non-standardized equipment often limit our collective effectiveness,” he said. “We must harmonize training, doctrines, and communication standards under the auspices of the African Union and regional blocs like ECOWAS and SADC.” Lessons from Past Peacekeeping Operations Drawing on Nigeria’s experience in ECOMOG operations in Liberia and Sierra Leone, Buratai warned that fragmented logistics, communication gaps, and differing rules of engagement among allied forces create friction that undermines mission success. He also referred to challenges faced in AMISOM and AU missions in Sudan, noting recurring issues in logistics coordination, medical evacuation, and unified command structures. “The lesson is clear — interoperability must begin from peace time,” he stressed. “Once it is tested and institutionalized in peace, it transitions smoothly into operations.” Strategic Vision for Africa’s Defence Collaboration Buratai’s intervention aligned with earlier remarks by President Paul Kagame, who urged African leaders to “challenge assumptions” and develop a new culture of collaboration that transcends borders and bureaucratic barriers. Kagame emphasized that Africa’s security challenges demand shared responsibility and professional cooperation among armed forces. Pne of the symposium’s moderators, Brig. Gen. Patrick Kuretwa, Director General of International Military Cooperation at Rwanda’s Ministry of Defence, described interoperability as the ability of allied militaries to act together coherently, efficiently, and effectively to achieve tactical and strategic objectives. “This symposium is timely and very necessary,” Buratai said. “It challenges us to think strategically and act collectively to enhance peace and stability on our continent.” About the Land Forces Commanders Symposium The Land Forces Commanders Symposium (LFCS) is a continental platform that brings together African army chiefs and senior officers to discuss shared security priorities, exchange operational experiences, and develop coordinated frameworks for peace support and defense cooperation. The 2025 edition, held in Kigali, featured high-level participation from East, West, Central, and Southern African militaries, as well as international partners. Discussions focused on Rethinking Land Operations in the Era of Drone Warfare, Promoting Bilateralism as a Complementary Option to Multilateralism to Achieve Peace and Security, among others is not only timely; but it is a must for African Land Forces and African-led security solutions in response to evolving continental securitychallenges.

Presiding Judge, Hon. Justice D.E. Osiagor, granted leave to Mr. Elusoji to apply for judicial review by way of Orders of Certiorari, Prohibition, and Injunction against the Police’s decision, which the court described as “unlawful and made without any subsisting warrant of arrest or court order.” The ruling followed an ex parte motion filed on September 23, 2025, by Elusoji through his legal counsel, Dr. Wahab Shittu (SAN), alongside Oluyemi Osasalu, Esq. and Nifemi Ademosu, Esq., challenging the declaration made by the Commissioner of Police, Special Fraud Unit (SFU) Lagos, and the Inspector-General of Police. Buratai to army officers: Democracy must be sustained Former Chief of Army Staff, retired Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, has said military officers must see themselves as defenders of the nation’s democracy and custodians of its stability. “You must remain loyal. Democracy must be sustained and maintained. “Whatever the challenges, I believe democracy itself will solve them. Loyalty is very key as a military officer even in retirement, we still maintain that loyalty,” Buratai said on Tuesday in Abuja during the decoration of two senior officers of the Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police, Col. Ibrahim Bunza and Col. Adetunji Idowu, who were recently elevated to their new ranks. The former COAS also urged newly promoted Nigerian Army officers to remain loyal, disciplined and committed to the sustenance of democracy in the country. He reminded the officers that promotion marks the beginning of a new phase of responsibility in their careers and must be matched with hard work, integrity and professionalism. “I remember vividly when I was promoted to the rank of Colonel. That rank signifies the beginning of a new era. “If you must get to generalship, it starts now. Your performance, your attitude, your character, and your disposition to duty will determine your next and subsequent ranks,” he said. Buratai, who served as the 20th Chief of Army Staff between 2015 and 2021 congratulated the newly promoted officers, describing them as disciplined, battle-tested and worthy ambassadors of the Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police. Speaking specifically about Col. Bunza, who served as his Aide-de-Camp (ADC), Buratai recalled his dedication and composure during challenging times, including operational visits to the North East. “He was my last ADC, and God made it in such a way that I had him. He was very calm, very calculated, and maintained discipline among all the close aides that worked with me. “He is battle-tested. I remember one of our visits to the North East when we came under fire, but he remained composed throughout,” he added. The retired general also commended Col. Idowu for his performance as Commander of the 6 Provost Group in Port Harcourt, describing him as “a disciplined and resilient officer who commanded in a very challenging environment and came out with his head high.” Buratai highlighted the importance of maintaining a stable home, saying the home front was very strategic. He urged their spouses to ensure that their homes reflect positively on the officer’s performance in the field and in the office by giving them the needed support. He urged the officers to pursue continuous self-development and professional education, adding that learning must never stop even after promotion or retirement. “You must continue to improve yourself. Development is very important. Even in retirement, I continue to learn. “In February, I obtained a certificate in communication and leadership from the University of Cambridge. So don’t stop improving yourselves,” he advised. Earlier in his remarks, the Provost Marshal (Army), Maj.-Gen. Mathias Erubelu, thanked Buratai for his mentorship and contributions to the Corps, especially the approval for the construction of its present headquarters. According to him, this edifice we are seated in today was built during your time as Chief of Army Staff. He congratulated the newly promoted officers, describing their elevation as a product of hard work, diligence and divine favour. “Promotion comes from God, but not without hard work. There were 298 officers presented for promotion, but only 225 made it. “So, this is a privilege that comes with responsibility,” the Provost Marshal stated. Responding on behalf of the newly promoted officers, Col. Bunza expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, for finding them worthy of elevation, and to the Provost Marshal for his leadership and mentorship. “We assure the Nigerian Army of our renewed commitment to service, loyalty, and upholding the core values of the institution. “We are also grateful to our families, colleagues, and friends for standing by us.” He also thanked former COAS Buratai for his mentorship, describing him as “a father and a leader whose guidance shaped their careers”.

Prophet Kingsley Aitafo’s Prophecy on Death of Dr. Uma Ukpai Confirmed A prophecy shared weeks ago by Prophet Kingsley Aitafo of Oneness in Christ Ministry has drawn wide attention following the passing of revered Christian leader, Dr. Uma Ukpai. On September 18, Prophet Aitafo had taken to his ministry’s official Instagram page, where he wrote: > “I sense a kind of feelings, let’s pray for a great father of faith, a general, a Patriarch, who is leaving the scene. He is rounding up already. His leaving will be a shock but he has completed his assignments.” At the time, many of his followers interpreted the message as a general spiritual impression. However, with the recent confirmation of Dr. Uma Ukpai’s death, the post has resurfaced across social media platforms, with many calling it a clear prophetic revelation fulfilled. Dr. Uma Ukpai, often described as one of Nigeria’s foremost evangelists and fathers of faith, was known for his decades of evangelistic crusades, miracles, and national Christian influence. His passing has been met with tributes from across the Christian community and beyond. Supporters of Prophet Aitafo now point to the September prophecy as evidence of divine insight, noting the timing and wording of his message, which seemed to foreshadow the loss of a “great father of faith.” While the prophetic post has sparked mixed reactions—ranging from awe to sober reflection—it has also reignited conversations about the prophetic ministry in Nigeria and its role in preparing the body of Christ for major spiritual transitions. Buratai seeks balance between military discipline, constitutional rights Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), retired Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, has called for a careful balance between the demands of military discipline and the constitutional rights of personnel under Nigeria’s democratic system. Buratai made the call in Abuja at the public presentation of the book “Annotation of Cases on Court Martial,” co-authored by Maj.-Gen. Mahmoo Wambai and Mr Ali Omachi (Esq) on Thursday. He said Nigeria’s court-martial system, rooted in British military tradition, had undergone a profound transformation over the decades, mirroring the nation’s political and legal evolution. “The imperative for military discipline must now be balanced with the constitutional rights of personnel and the scrutiny of civilian appellate courts,” he said. Buratai highlighted landmark judgments such as Eweka v. Nigerian Army and Gideon Uweri v. Nigerian Army as milestones that reinforced fair hearing and delineated court-martial jurisdiction within democratic norms. According to him, these rulings reflect the growing tension and harmony between the rule of law and the demands of command and control in a professional force. “A fair and just military justice system is the bedrock of disciplined armed forces and a stable democracy. “For the military, court martials remain indispensable for enforcing conduct and professionalism; for democracy, they demonstrate that the Armed Forces are firmly under the rule of law,” he said. The former COAS said transparency in the military justice process not only strengthens civilian oversight but also deepens public trust in the institution of the Armed Forces. He commended the Nigerian Body of Benchers, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and the Council of Legal Education for their enduring partnership with the Armed Forces in refining military law and training military legal officers. Buratai described the book as a significant milestone that offers incisive commentary and practical insights into military jurisprudence. “This is a vital guide for practitioners, commanders and judges. “It highlights avenues for reform and enriches understanding of military justice within a democratic framework,” he added. On the book, the author, Maj.-Gen. Wambai, said the book was motivated by the need to correct misconceptions that often lead to appellate courts overturning decisions of courts martial. Wambai stressed that discipline is the foundation of the Armed Forces and that weakening it could jeopardize national security. “We observed that some judgments are overturned due to technicalities or lack of understanding of military law. “Our aim is to guide both military lawyers and appellate judges on the peculiarities of military justice. “Without discipline, there can be no military. If we fail to enforce the law within, trained personnel with weapons may lose their sense of responsibility, and that’s dangerous for any country,” he warned. The Co-author Ali Omachi, said the book was the first comprehensive compendium of appellate cases on court martial in Nigeria, providing insights into why some tribunal decisions fail on appeal. Omachi added that the initiative represents a modest but crucial step toward strengthening the integrity of the military justice system, ensuring that discipline and due process coexist in harmony. “We sought to bridge the gap between legal theory and the practice of court martial. Many verdicts are set aside because of procedural lapses or non-adherence to constitutional provisions. “Our book highlights these pitfalls and offers practical recommendations to make military trials more effective and credible,” he added.
