CelebritiesAfrica Set For Divine Visitation As SCOAN Holds Revival by Hunter2009(op): 8:34pm On May 13, 2025
Africa Set for Divine Visitation as SCOAN Holds Revival

Johannesburg, South Africa — South Africa is poised for a powerful wind of divine transformation as Johannesburg hosts the highly anticipated Holy Spirit Visitation with Pastor Evelyn Joshua. The event, set to take place on May 16 at the prestigious Expo Centre, is drawing thousands of attendees from across South Africa and beyond, each with a deep yearning for divine intervention, healing, and spiritual renewal.

Described by many as a life-changing opportunity for divine encounter, the event is being organized by The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), led by Pastor Evelyn Joshua, wife of the late Prophet T.B. Joshua. The revival has also been widely described as an avenue for divine restoration and supernatural transformation, resonating strongly with the faithful and spiritually curious alike.

Jan Matli, a Johannesburg resident, conveyed his strong belief in the impact the event will have. “We expect spiritual revival in the body of Christ as the Holy Spirit Visitation with Pastor Evelyn Joshua begins on the 16th of May. This revival will reveal God’s hidden power to destroy the deception that the children of God have been fed with. This visitation must bring total deliverance and transformation,” he told The SCOAN’s communications team.

Echoing this hope, Thato Mathibela, another resident, said, “I want to have an unforgettable encounter with God during this revival with Pastor Evelyn Joshua. I want to receive impartation and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.”

For many like Norah Dlomo, the event is not only about personal breakthrough but also about the spiritual welfare of families. “I want God to deliver and heal my family. I also want to grow spiritually with the guidance of our mother in the Lord, Pastor Evelyn Joshua,” she shared.

Among those looking forward to the revival is Abigail Fourie, who has a powerful testimony of past healing through The SCOAN. Delivered from a family curse during a visit to The SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2006, she now seeks a deeper experience. “Since then, my life has been transformed. Now, I am expecting to be baptized by the Holy Spirit so that I can be all God has created me to be,” she said.
The event is attracting not only South Africans but also believers from across the continent. Anthony Victor, a Malawian residing in Johannesburg, shared his testimony of divine intervention. “My wife was barren but after ministering the Morning Water, which I received from a friend, she conceived and bore children for me. The God of Prophet T.B. Joshua is a miracle-working God. I am here to experience more of His blessings,” he said.
From the Democratic Republic of Congo, Patrick Isaka testified to the blessings he has already received through The SCOAN. “I have experienced a lot of positive changes through The SCOAN. I have witnessed many good things in my career as an infrastructure consultant. I am here to experience God and maintain the blessings I have received in the past,” he stated.

Among the most heartfelt expressions of hope came from Albert Ndhlovu, a South African resident who shared his personal struggles. “My life is messed up and I believe God will restore, renew and redeem me and my family during this revival with Pastor Evelyn Joshua,” he prayed.

As of the time of this report, the Gallagher Convention Centre, where attendees are registering for the event, is witnessing a massive influx of people. Crowds are arriving in their thousands, full of joy, hope, and expectation for a divine encounter that many believe will mark a turning point in their lives.
With the Holy Spirit Visitation set to commence on May 16, anticipation is mounting that Johannesburg will witness not just a gathering, but a genuine outpouring of the Holy Spirit that could ripple far beyond the city.

EducationLasustech Shines With 100% Nuc Accreditation Success, Proving Leadership Excelle by Hunter2009(op): 11:05am On May 13, 2025
LASUSTECH SHINES WITH 100% NUC ACCREDITATION SUCCESS, PROVING LEADERSHIP EXCELLENCE

Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has secured accreditation for all 25 of its academic programmes, which it presented to the National Universities Commission (NUC) during the October/November 2024 Accreditation Exercise. The results, released in a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor with reference number NUC/ES/412/VOL.14/387 and signed by Engr. Abraham Chundusu, the acting Director of Accreditation, shows impressive outcomes: 22 full accreditations (88.0%) and three interim accreditations (12.0%).

The results showcase meticulous planning, resource allocation, and academic rigour under the Vice Chancellor's leadership. The NUC's rigorous evaluation, which assesses staffing, infrastructure, and academic quality, showcased LASUSTECH's excellence across multiple colleges. Notably, no programme was denied accreditation, a rare achievement for a university still in its formative years.

The College of Applied Social Sciences (CASS), also classified as Administration, led the charge, with all six programmes—Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Actuarial Science, Banking and Finance, and Office and Information Management—securing full accreditation. Scores ranged from 86.9% to an outstanding 95.6%, reflecting robust academic standards and faculty expertise.

In the College of Agriculture, programmes such as Animal Science, Crop Science, Agricultural Extension, Fisheries, and Horticulture achieved scores exceeding 80%, securing full accreditation. Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, however, received interim status with an overall score of 80.9%, influenced by a staffing score of 68.6%.

The College of Basic Sciences achieved outstanding results, with Physics with Electronics, Mathematics, Microbiology, and Statistics all scoring above 90%. Physics and Mathematics led the rankings with scores of 96.6% each. Although Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry reported scores exceeding 80%, they were assigned interim status due to staffing challenges.

The Colleges of Environmental Sciences and Social Sciences/Administration shone brightly, with all programmes earning full accreditation. Standouts included Mass Communication (92.7%), Industrial Design (95.6%), and Economics, which led the university with an exceptional 97.4%.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya, on behalf of Management, expresses profound gratitude to all LASUSTECH staff and the Visitor. "As Vice-Chancellor, I remain deeply grateful to all members of staff and students. We dedicate this outstanding achievement to our visitor, Mr. Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. We are deeply grateful to the Honourable Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Mr. Tolani Sule, and the Governing Council, led by Professor Rasheed Kola Ojikutu. We have 14 programmes this year, and we cannot perform lower than this standard."

Meanwhile, in a message authored by the Protem Secretary of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), LASUSTECH Chapter, Comrade Soneye Olufemi Sobowale attributed the success of the accreditation exercise to the commitment of staff and visionary leadership of the Vice Chancellor. "Central to this success is the unwavering dedication of the members of ASUU LASUSTECH. Their commitment to upholding academic standards, engaging in continuous professional development, and fostering an environment conducive to learning played a pivotal role in achieving this feat."
Soneye further stated, "Equally commendable is the proactive leadership of the university administration under the stewardship of Vice Chancellor Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya. The administration's strategic initiatives, including infrastructural development and academic staff support, have been instrumental in positioning LASUSTECH as a centre of academic excellence.”

CelebritiesBuratai Advocates Fusion Of Military Strategy, Diplomacy In Global Peace Efforts by Hunter2009(op): 5:58pm On May 12, 2025
Buratai advocates fusion of military strategy, diplomacy in global peace efforts

A former Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd), weekend, made a strong case for embedding military leadership to the fabric of international diplomacy and conflict resolution.

Buratai made the call while speaking as a special guest of honour at a one-day simulation of the United Nations General Assembly for students of the Department of Political Science, Nigerian Army University, Biu.

Lt-Gen Buratai, who was represented by Brig-Gen Muhammad Kabir Galadanci (rtd), stated the evolving responsibilities of military figures in today’s global arena, asserting that modern military officers must not only command on the battlefield but also influence diplomatic dialogue and multilateral cooperation.

Buratai pointed out that 21st-century security landscapes required leaders with both strategic defence expertise and solid grasp of diplomacy.

“Today’s military commanders are frontline contributors in negotiations, conflict mediation and peace partnerships,” he stated.

He spotlighted Nigeria’s distinguished history in global peacekeeping, recounting its early presence in the UN mission to Congo in 1960 and the nation’s leadership in ECOWAS peace interventions across West Africa.

“Nigeria has participated in 41 peacekeeping missions with over 200,000 troops deployed globally,” he said, referencing operations in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and the Gambia.

Reflecting on Nigeria’s pioneering role in founding the ECOWAS Monitoring Group (ECOMOG), Buratai acknowledged the operational hurdles it faced, including poor coordination and funding challenges.

Despite these, he maintained that ECOMOG laid a strong blueprint for regional peace enforcement and intergovernmental collaboration in West Africa.

Buratai didn’t shy away from Nigeria’s current internal security trials as he argued that ongoing challenges such as insurgency, armed banditry, and communal unrest have constrained the country’s external engagement.

He urged investment in defence training, modern combat technology, and stronger civil-military synergy to enhance Nigeria’s capacity to fulfil its global peace commitments.

Reinforcing Nigeria’s position on international reforms, Buratai reiterated the need to democratise global institutions, particularly the UN Security Council, to ensure fair representation for Africa. “A permanent African seat isn’t just symbolic; it is essential for inclusive decision-making on global peace and security,” he stated.

CelebritiesHow Nigeria Can Step Into Greatness It Deserves-former COAS, Buratai by Hunter2009(op): 7:59pm On May 11, 2025
How Nigeria can step into greatness it deserves-Former COAS, Buratai

Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (Rtd) has noted how Nigeria could attain the greatness it deserves in the comity of nations, saying that to achieve this, citizens must tolerate one another irrespective of ethno-religious differences.

General Buratai stated this at the weekend in Kaduna on the topic, "Religion as a Tool for Peace and
National Unity”, on the occasion of Award Recognition organised by Authentic Daily News.

Buratai who was represented by Major General Bulama Biu (Rtd) was among the Awardees.

This was even as the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) 19 Northern States & FCT, Rev. Joseph Hayab commended General Buratai for exemplary military leadership, citing the handling of the banned religious group from kaduna state crisis with maturity while in active service.

Others also spoke in justification of the Award given to Buratai.

According to the former COAS, "The theme before us today "Religion as a Tool for Peace and National Unity" is both a timely reminder and an urgent call. In the hands of the wise, faith becomes a bridge that spans rivers of misunderstanding; a balm that soothes ancient wounds. It teaches us that beyond creed and confession, our common humanity binds us more strongly than any differences could ever divide.

"No nation can rise on the foundations of suspicion and discord. It is only when our pulpits, our altars, and our mosques become fountains of tolerance, of respect, and of compassion, that Nigeria will truly step into the greatness she
deserves.

"These, we must work to achieve by every means available
including but not limited to accommodating one another in true
brotherhood.

"To the awardees present, may this recognition renew in you the silent vow we all make to labour not for applause, but for posterity. To be champions and advocates of better society we can all be proud of.

"To the young ones here today, remember: nations are not built by wishful thinking, but by the daily, patient sowing of seeds of understanding,
tolerance, and selfless service. You must therefore eschew all those
things that seek to undermine the development of our society. You are
indeed leaders of tomorrow. May the light of peace forever guide our steps as we build a united and
prosperous Nigeria.

"This award “The Authentic Award of Recognition Year 2024” is not
merely a plaque or a title. It is a silent testament to a journey travelled
with discipline, with devotion, and with an unshaken faith in Nigeria’s
promise. Let me also thank and appreciate the organisers for choosing a theme that is quite contemporary and a critical tool in our struggles for prosperity. This year's theme “Religion as a Tool for Peace and National Unity” cannot come at a better time than now. It is a common knowledge that all religions acknowledge peace and preach peace in our human engagements".

CelebritiesYoungog Releases “EBUBE”, Explains Transition From Asha Gangali by Hunter2009(op): 12:27pm On May 09, 2025
YoungOG releases “EBUBE”, explains transition from Asha Gangali

Veteran singer and music executive, YoungOG, formerly known as “Asha Gangali” has revealed reasons behind his new musical brand name, as he released a new single titled Ebube.

YoungOG is the brain behind Roc Da Mic Africa, a popular talent hunt platform where raw talents are identified and nurtured to stardom.

The Ninja Bike crooner stated that his musical journey as an Afrobeats artist and decade-long activism in the Nigerian music copyright segment contributed to his transition into this new brand “YoungOG” which is an embodiment of the Afrobeats culture. "You’ll know and appreciate this when you listen to my new single EBUBE and other forthcoming records," he said.

YoungOG also revealed that his new sound and brand is tailored to appeal to the GenZ and Gen Alpha because it has been in the making for the past few years.

"I noticed that I’ve always been years ahead of any Afrobeats dispensation, not trying to brag, but it’s the reality when you look at my musical journey, which is the reason why my sound is always fresh and dope.

"Rebranding from Asha Gangali to YoungOG was necessary due to changes in the demographics that consume the music and drive the culture. My new sound is “Eclectic“ and I’m really excited about this new dispensation. I’ve actually metamorphosed from Gangali to YoungOG since 2023 but the process of rebranding is very tedious both creatively and administratively," he noted.

YoungOG confided that he has not abandoned his prominent role in the Nigerian Music Copyright segment, having served as National Treasurer of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) and a member of the Board of Directors at Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria (MCSN).

He asserted that “I will continue to demand transparency, accountability and adherence to global standards in our music institutions, which are the administrative pillars for copyright protection and Music Royalties Management.”

YoungOG’s debut single “EBUBE “ is a contemporary Highlife banger with catchy melodies. The song features newly signed artists Peppa and Tbeatshiii. EBUBE is now available on all streaming platforms.

CelebritiesProphecy Fulfilled: Wiseman Daniel's 2025 Warning Comes To Life As Burkina Faso by Hunter2009(op): 5:39am On May 05, 2025
Prophecy Fulfilled: Wiseman Daniel's 2025 Warning Comes to Life as Burkina Faso Foils Coup Plot (video)

In what many believers are calling a divine confirmation, recent political developments in Burkina Faso have been seen as a direct fulfillment of a prophecy issued earlier this year by renowned Nigerian prophet, Wiseman Daniel, founder of Elohim Ministry.

In his prophetic address titled “The Mind of God for the Year 2025”, Wiseman Daniel warned of a covert plot being hatched by a European power—specifically France—against a small but rising African nation striving for self-sufficiency. He cautioned that any attempt to destabilize this nation would have dire consequences for the foreign powers involved, as the country had already gained international sympathy and would be fiercely defended by allies.

Barely months later, the military government of Burkina Faso announced it had thwarted a major plot to overthrow junta leader Capt Ibrahim Traoré. Security Minister Mahamadou Sana disclosed that the coup was orchestrated by a network of current and former soldiers, with ties to terrorist leaders and alleged foreign support from neighbouring Ivory Coast. The conspirators had planned to storm the presidential palace and plunge the country into chaos under the guise of international intervention.

“This was more than a local insurrection,” said Sana in a televised address. “The goal was to disrupt our sovereignty and place the country under external control.”

In the aftermath, citizens of Burkina Faso poured into the streets, rallying in support of their leader and warning both France and the United States to abandon any hidden agendas against their nation. Placards bearing slogans like “Hands Off Our President” and “Africa Must Stand Together” highlighted the deepening patriotic fervour and suspicion of Western interference.

Observers are now linking these events to Wiseman Daniel’s prophecy. He had stated:

“A small African country will rise out of darkness into light. But France must not execute her hidden plan. The consequences will be too great. This country has the eyes of the world on it—and will be backed by unexpected forces.”

Since Capt Traoré seized power in 2022 amidst rising militant violence, Burkina Faso has taken bold steps towards rejecting foreign military presence and asserting its independence. The junta's posture has drawn both criticism and admiration, but the recent thwarted coup and the citizens’ overwhelming support appear to echo the prophetic tone of Wiseman Daniel’s warning.

While some may view these developments through a purely political lens, others in the spiritual community see it as a clear sign of divine insight and intervention.

CelebritiesTayo Folorunsho Calls For Investment And Structural Reforms To Propel Abuja’s En by Hunter2009(op): 12:08pm On May 03, 2025
*Tayo Folorunsho Calls for Investment and Structural Reforms to Propel Abuja’s Entertainment Industry to Greater Heights*

Tayo Folorunsho, a Nigerian Media consultant / entertainment expert and founder of Edutainment First International Ltd/GTE and The Big Break Moment Africa, has raised concerns about the challenges of running an entertainment business in Abuja.
Despite the hurdles, he remains committed to overcoming them, urging for significant investments and coordinated reforms to unlock the full potential of the city’s entertainment industry.

Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, is renowned for its political significance, booming real estate sector, and vibrant economy. However, Folorunsho, who has successfully run entertainment ventures in Lagos, notes that Abuja’s entertainment market is still in its infancy. Unlike Lagos, where the entertainment scene operates year-round, Abuja’s event calendar is more limited, with activities mostly concentrated around festive periods. This seasonal nature, combined with inconsistent support from relevant agencies, poses a major challenge for entertainers and event managers looking to build sustainable businesses in the city.

In a recent media interview, Folorunsho described his initial experience in the Abuja market as a “misadventure.”
“The first strides I made in Abuja were marked by setbacks. Despite the city’s vast potential, it operates with a different approach, and my early efforts were met with difficulties,” he explained.

He highlighted several key frustrations, including bureaucratic hurdles and a lack of proper infrastructure to support the entertainment sector.
“In Abuja, the support system is difficult to navigate. Different agencies often come up with excuses such as ‘you’re not in the budget,’ or ‘the budget hasn’t been released.’ These obstacles make it harder to establish a successful entertainment business,” he said.

Despite these challenges, Folorunsho remains optimistic about Abuja’s entertainment future. He believes the city has enormous potential for growth, especially due to its expansive land space and thriving tourism sector—factors he sees as foundational pillars for the development of a robust entertainment industry.
“The land space and tourist attractions in Abuja are among its strongest assets. These factors, if properly harnessed, can propel Abuja into a leading entertainment hub,” he noted.

He encouraged up-and-coming entertainers in Abuja to remain rooted in the city and focus on building lasting infrastructure rather than relocating to Lagos.
“I urge entertainers who are gaining recognition in Abuja to remain and focus on building a lasting foundation for the entertainment industry in the city.”

While Abuja currently lacks an all-year entertainment culture like Lagos, Folorunsho insists the city holds untapped potential.
“Festive periods are when most events happen in Abuja, but with the right strategies, the city can develop an entertainment culture that thrives all year round,” he added.

He envisions a future where Abuja could rival—and even surpass—Lagos as Nigeria’s entertainment capital.
“I foresee a future where Abuja will become a booming entertainment destination. The city has the potential to surpass Lagos in terms of its entertainment industry, but this will require investment, policy reforms, and a collaborative effort from all stakeholders,” he emphasized.

Folorunsho calls for greater investment in the sector and a comprehensive overhaul of policies affecting the entertainment ecosystem in Abuja. He believes that with the right reforms, Abuja could become a central hub for entertainment in Nigeria, creating new opportunities for both emerging and established talents.

About Tayo Folorunsho
Tayo Folorunsho is a Nigerian media consultant / Entertainment expert and the founder of Edutainment First International Ltd/GTE, a leading Education and Entertainment company.
Over the years,Folorunsho has played a pivotal role in shaping the Nigerian entertainment landscape, particularly through his work in Lagos and Abuja. His dedication to developing Abuja’s entertainment sector positions him as a key advocate for investment and reform in the industry.

*Buhari Should be Thankful to God for handling over to Bola Tinubu, an economic builder* — Omotoso Banji Victor

Amid growing defections of politicians from various parties to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Omotoso Banji Victor, the National President of a newly constituted ODUDUWA INTEGRITY ASSOCIATION has attributed the trend to President Bola Tinubu’s effective management of Nigeria’s economy.

According to Omotoso Banji, the improving Gross Domestic Product (GDP) figures under Tinubu's administration are clear indicators of his economic leadership. He urged northern politicians to support President Tinubu by allowing him to complete another four-year term, totaling eight years in office.

“The massive decamping to APC is not because the party is necessarily better than others, but because of Tinubu’s magic touch in economic recovery,” Victor said. “Former President Buhari should be grateful to God for handing over to a competent leader like Tinubu.”

He further stated that if another leader had taken over, Nigeria’s economy would have collapsed by now, drawing parallels to a time when Ghanaians migrated to Nigeria in search of survival. Therefore, the ex president, Buhari should be thankful to God for handling over to Bola Tinubu been an Economic builder.

Omotoso emphasized that under the previous administration, about ₦500 billion was spent on fuel subsidies while many states remained impoverished. In contrast, he noted, Tinubu’s policies have led to a significant increase in state allocations, allowing for debt repayments and greater infrastructure development.

"Governors, politicians, and citizens who truly understand the dynamics of economic growth are the ones moving towards President Tinubu’s camp — not necessarily just to the APC," Omotoso concluded.

Blogger Escapes Heavy Penalty After Plea Deal in Defamation Case Against MFM Founder

Recall that in February 2024, One AYOTUNDE RICHARDS who is the second Defendant in the criminal Charge No: FHC/L/168C/2024 currently pending at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, had sued Dr Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles

Ministries, his lawyer Barr Davidson Adejuwon and others, alleging breaches of his fundamental rights.

Mr AYOTUNDE RICHARDS, a former member and singer in the MFM Church, who had for sometimes been publishing series of commentaries which are considered defamatory by the members of MFM family against their General Overseer on his Social media platforms, also got some bloggers to broadcast the Fundamental Right Suits across social media platforms including the First Defendant, ADEWALE AJIMISOGBE who had used his online media platform to propagate the suit of AYOTUNDE RICHARDS with a caption: “HE IS A CRIMINAL AND BEHIND ALL ILLEGAL ACTS - EX-MFMF CHURCH SINGER SUES FOUNDER, DANIEL OLUKOYA, OTHERS, SEEKS N15.5 BILLION IN DAMAGES...”

Uncomfortable with the unabated spate of lies and defamatory publications against the clergy, his Personal Assistance on social media filed a criminal complaint to the Police against AYOTUNDE RICHARDS and ADEWALE AJIMISOGBE who were later arraigned before the Federal High Court, Ikoyi for various offences contrary to the clear provisions of the Cyber Crime Act. However, as the trial was to commence, the first Defendant, ADEWALE AJIMISOGBE, quickly weighed his chances and decided to enter into a PLEA BARGAIN Agreement with the Prosecution to publish a retraction and tender a public apology (both of which have been done) for a light punishment to pay FINE as against being sentenced to a term in the prison if the Prosecution secure a conviction against him.By the court order of April 11, 2025, (a certified True copy of which was made available to us),

The first defendant is to forfeit the sum of N50,000.00 to the state having reached out to the lawyer of the nominal complainant (Dr D. K. Olukoya) and showed remorse and tendered his unreserved public apology for his wrongdoing to Dr D. K. Olukoya, who is like a father to him and promises never to repeat the same again. He is then free from all charges brought against him while the trial is now adjourned to 3rd June 2025 against AYOTUNDE RICHARDS who is now the only defendant left to answer his own charges.

In a significant leadership transition at one of Nigeria’s foremost military-civilian academic institutions, Professor Lawan Bala Buratai has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB).

The appointment was announced following an intensive and merit-based selection process conducted by the Governing Council of NAUB at the Armed Forces Officers Mess and Suites, Asokoro, Abuja. The Council, under the chairmanship of Dr. Awwal Moriki, concluded its deliberations and formally presented the letter of appointment to Prof Buratai in a brief but momentous ceremony.

Dr. Moriki, while congratulating the new helmsman, described the selection as the culmination of a transparent and rigorous process aimed at identifying a visionary academic leader who embodies the university’s core values of excellence, discipline, and innovation.

With this appointment, Prof Buratai succeeds Professor Kyari Mohammed, whose single five-year tenure is widely credited with laying a strong foundation for the university’s academic and structural growth.

The Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) was established in 2018 as a unique public institution owned by the Nigerian Army and designed to serve both military personnel and civilians. Located in Biu, Borno State, the university was conceived as a strategic response to the security and developmental challenges facing Nigeria and the wider Sahel region.

H.E. Tukur Yusufu Buratai: A Comprehensive Profile from Deepseek

Out of sheer curiosity and a desire to delve deeper into the intricacies of Nigeria's military history, yesterday I decided to engage with the AI application known as Deepseek, posing a question about what it knows concerning Nigeria's former Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Yusufu Buratai. My intention was not only to test the depth of the intelligence capabilities of this innovative AI tool but also to acquire a neutral and unbiased report or profile of the former general—something that would be entirely devoid of any flattery or vindictive vilification of his character. What I received from Deepseek as feedback was a detailed and well-structured overview that encapsulated General Buratai's significant military career.

General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, who served as Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff (COAS) from 2015 to 2021, is widely recognized for his transformative leadership and significant contributions to the Nigerian Army. Below is a synthesis of his key achievements, supported by context from the provided search results:

1. Counterinsurgency and National Security

Buratai spearheaded Nigeria's fight against Boko Haram and ISWAP, drastically reducing their territorial control. Under his command:

- 75% reduction in attacks within five months of his appointment (2015), and a 90% decline in suicide bombings by 2017.

- He introduced innovative military strategies, such as the Super Camp Maneuver Concept and Mobile Strike Teams, which disrupted terrorist operations.

- The northeast became safer, enabling the 2019 general elections to proceed peacefully in previously insecure regions.

2. Institutional Reforms and Training

Buratai prioritized professionalism and capacity-building:

- Established the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) to address strategic defense gaps and foster research.

- Revived training exercises like Python Dance, Crocodile Smile, and Ayam Akpatuma, enhancing troops' readiness for internal security operations.

- Expanded foreign training opportunities for officers and soldiers, improving Nigeria’s competitiveness in international military engagements.

3. Infrastructure and Welfare Development

His tenure saw unprecedented infrastructural growth:

- Founded Nigerian Army University, Biu (NAUB), Africa’s first Army university, focusing on technological and military education. The institution expanded rapidly, with 75% of admissions reserved for civilians.

- Upgraded barracks, hospitals (e.g., Level 4 facilities), and housing projects nationwide, significantly boosting troop morale.

- Launched initiatives like Army Farms and Ranches and Barracks Investment Programme to improve soldiers' welfare and self-sufficiency.

4. Technological and Operational Innovations

Buratai modernized the Army’s capabilities:

- Created the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command to combat digital threats.

- Commissioned indigenous Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles, reducing reliance on foreign equipment.

- Established specialized units like the Motorcycle Battalion and Special Forces Command for terrain-specific operations.

5. Leadership and Diplomacy

- Personal involvement in combat: Buratai frequently led troops on frontline missions, such as the 2020 Limankara hills operation, inspiring soldiers.

- Post-retirement, he served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Benin Republic, strengthening bilateral ties and curbing cross-border crime.

- Promoted physical fitness within the Army, instituting policies like the Body Mass Index standard and completing a 60km run at age 60 to set an example.

6. Awards and Legacy

Buratai received numerous honors, including:

- Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).

- Traditional titles like Betara of Biu Emirate and Jagunmolu of Saki Land.

- A Doctor of Letters (DLitt) honoris causa from NAUB.

Conclusion

General Buratai’s tenure reshaped the Nigerian Army into a more professional, technologically adept, and responsive institution. His legacy spans counterterrorism victories, educational advancements, and infrastructural development, earning him recognition as one of Nigeria’s most impactful military leaders.

For further details, refer to the cited sources.

As I wrote earlier, the information provided above is sourced from Deepseek, and it is a raw, unedited account of the current state of affairs. I firmly believe that it is crucial for Nigerians to learn the importance of acknowledging and commending leaders who are performing well or making significant positive contributions to the country, rather than indulging in the spreading of falsehoods, rumors, and smear campaigns simply because certain insecure individuals feel threatened by the rising prominence of others. This tendency to "kill their prophets" is detrimental to our collective progress.

For instance, take a closer look at the troubling situation in the North-East today; observe the morale of the troops, the quality of their training and kitting, and the overall leadership structure. Unfortunately, the situation has deteriorated significantly. During his tenure as Chief of Army Staff, General Buratai demonstrated an unwavering commitment to safeguarding Nigeria, even placing his own life on the line and facing numerous life-threatening situations.

In stark contrast, we now witness a disheartening trend where current commanders seem reluctant to lead from the front lines. The theaters of war in both the North-East and North-West regions have ceased to serve as bastions of operational strength or secondary offices for the Service Chiefs. I am aware of several nearby villages to Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC) that are under constant threat, with terrorists freely roaming about and yet, tragically, no one appears ready or willing to confront them. It is no surprise that our great nation is currently in a state of turmoil and unrest.

Securing a complex and diverse society like Nigeria is not a task for the faint of heart; it requires immense dedication, strategic planning, and REAL HARD WORK. I strongly believe that we must address these challenges head-on, with a united front and a renewed sense of purpose, if we are to restore peace and stability to our beloved country.

MS Abubakar writes from Maiduguri

*Eko FM/Radio Lagos Staffs Sends SAVE OUR Soul Message to Gov Sanwo-Olu*

It has been an endless waiting period for the staffs of Radio Lagos/Eko FM for the payment of the arrears of the new minimum wage as directed by the kind gesture of His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

Despite the fact that the new minimum wage has not been implemented, we are greatful for the Governor's kind heartedness for his approval to pay five months arrears of the minimum wage.

It is however painful that we do not know what is delaying the non payment of the new minimum wage arrears that should have been effective from August to December 2024.

It is equally important to point out that only staffs up to grade level 13 has been paid 50% of our 13th month salary for 2024 while other officers on grade level 14 and above are yet to collect their 13th month.

We are appealing for the payment of the five month salary arrears and the outstanding 13th month salary of staff that have not been paid.

We are pleading for the quick implementation of Radio Lagos/Eko FM / Traffic Radio and LTV staff migration to the Oracle data base.

This is the fourth month of the year with another four month arrears accumulating, we are appealing to the Governor to be kind hearted with our plight and condition. Most of us are family men and women with huge responsibilities. The economy is not smiling at us. Please save our soul.

CelebritiesProphet Kingsley’s 2025 Prophecy Fulfilled: Pascal Dozie Dies, Army Smashes Oil by Hunter2009(op): 4:09pm On Apr 09, 2025
Prophet Kingsley’s 2025 Prophecy Fulfilled: Pascal Dozie Dies, Army Smashes Oil Syndicates in Niger Delta

In a stunning turn of prophetic accuracy, fiery Nigerian cleric Prophet Kingsley Aitafo, founder of Oneness in Christ, has seen two of his headline-grabbing 2025 prophecies come to pass — shaking both Nigeria’s business and oil sectors to their core.

Barely three months after releasing a chilling spiritual warning during his New Year prophecy service, two major predictions have unfolded in real-time: the death of a top business magnate and a massive crackdown on illegal oil operations in the Niger Delta.

BUSINESS TITAN FALLS: PASCAL DOZIE DIES A DAY TO 86TH BIRTHDAY

On April 8, Nigeria woke up to the heartbreaking news that Pascal Gabriel Dozie, founder of the defunct Diamond Bank Plc and former chairman of MTN Nigeria, had died at the age of 85 — just a day before his 86th birthday.

A legend in Nigeria’s banking and telecoms sectors, Dozie’s death comes eerily close to Prophet Aitafo’s January warning, in which he urged the nation to “pray for three Nigerian business magnates” because “they may hand over their empires and leave the scene” — a spiritual euphemism for death.

Dozie was celebrated as a visionary entrepreneur, having pioneered Diamond Bank in 1990 and later guiding MTN Nigeria during its transformative early years. His death, though peaceful, shocked the business community, which is still grappling with the implications of Prophet Aitafo’s uncanny foresight.

PROPHECY 2 UNFOLDS: ARMY STORMS NIGER DELTA, CRUSHES ILLEGAL OIL EMPIRES

In yet another jaw-dropping fulfillment of Aitafo’s forecast, the Nigerian Army’s 6 Division announced on Sunday that it had launched a high-impact crackdown on oil thieves operating in the creeks of the Niger Delta.

The operation, carried out between March 31 and April 6, led to:

43 arrests,

254,000 litres of stolen crude recovered,

14 illegal refineries dismantled, and

14 boats and several vehicles destroyed.

This followed Prophet Aitafo’s second prediction, in which he foresaw that “loopholes in the petroleum sector would be exposed” and warned of “illegal storage and refining activities coming to light.”

From Delta to Rivers State, the army’s operation uncovered vast bunkering syndicates. In Sapele, Delta State, a large site was raided with drums and tanks holding tens of thousands of litres of stolen products. Meanwhile, in Andoni LGA, Rivers, over 80,000 litres of stolen crude were confiscated.

“This is a clear sign that economic sabotage will no longer be tolerated,” said Lt. Col. Danjuma Jonah, the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations.

WHO IS PROPHET KINGSLEY AITAFO?

Known for his blunt delivery and spiritual insight, Prophet Kingsley Aitafo has earned a reputation for accurate national prophecies. His 2025 predictions, initially dismissed by skeptics, have now drawn national attention.

“What the Spirit showed me was clear: some giants in business would depart, and darkness in the oil sector would be exposed,” Aitafo had declared during his 2025 prophetic release. "These are signs for the nation to awaken."

Prophecy Fulfilled! Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse Saw It, Now Timothy Omotoso Acquitted After 8-Year Legal Battle

In a shocking turn of events, the Gqeberha High Court has acquitted Nigerian televangelist Timothy Omotoso and his co-accused, Lusanda Sulani and Zikiswa Sitho, of all charges, marking the end of an eight-year legal saga that gripped South Africa. This ruling has not only stunned the nation but also confirmed the prophecy of renowned Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse, who had foretold Omotoso’s exoneration.

Omotoso, the leader of Jesus Dominion International (JDI), was arrested in April 2017 at the Chief Dawid Stuurman Airport on a string of serious charges, including human trafficking, rape, and racketeering. His incarceration sparked an intense, high-profile legal battle, drawing both outrage and unwavering support from his followers.

Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse, the founder of Freedom For All Nations Outreach (FANO), had earlier prophesied that Omotoso would be cleared of all accusations and ultimately released. Today, that prophecy stands fulfilled as Judge Irma Schoeman ruled that, while the testimonies of complainants could not be outrightly dismissed, the prosecution failed to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

A Trial Plagued by Delays and Controversy

The case against Omotoso and his associates was marked by legal twists, prolonged delays, and contentious judicial proceedings. Initially facing 63 charges, nearly half were dismissed in 2023, leaving 32 charges still standing. The prosecution alleged that Omotoso and his co-accused had manipulated young women, luring them under the guise of spiritual upliftment, only to exploit them for personal gain.

Over the years, several witnesses withdrew their testimonies, citing emotional exhaustion and a desire to move on. Defense attorneys capitalized on inconsistencies in the prosecution’s case, arguing that media sensationalism and public sentiment had influenced the trial. Multiple appeals for a mistrial were denied, and Omotoso remained in custody throughout the lengthy proceedings.

A Shocking Verdict and a Divided Nation

As the court pronounced the long-awaited judgment, emotions ran high both inside and outside the courtroom. Supporters erupted in celebration, chanting praises for Omotoso’s deliverance, while activists and some former congregants expressed their disappointment, fearing the verdict undermines the voices of alleged victims.

Omotoso’s legal team hailed the ruling as a triumph of justice, maintaining that the pastor had been unfairly targeted. “This has been a witch hunt from the start,” one of his defense lawyers declared. “Today, truth has prevailed.”

Meanwhile, Prophet Akinbodunse’s followers celebrated his prophetic accuracy, hailing him as a true voice of divine revelation. “The man of God spoke, and it has come to pass!” exclaimed a jubilant church member.

What’s Next for Omotoso?

With his name now cleared, the next chapter for Omotoso remains uncertain. Will he resume his ministry in South Africa, where he once commanded a massive following? Or will he relocate to another country to rebuild his life?

One thing is certain: this case has left an indelible mark on South Africa’s judicial system and society at large. The debate over justice, faith, and accountability will continue to rage in the days to come.
