If you watch Netflix you are still required to get a tv licence. I believe you can be fined £1,000 and even taken to court if you are found out. These days they have advanced equipment to detect if you have been watching tv , through pc, iPad etc. Just save yourself future agro and pay it.

They have no advanced equipment to detect if one is watching TV or not. It was a con invented to scare people into paying up. They use their database of over 31 million addresses to check which ones do not have a licence and that is where the fun of them sending you letters start.

If you have ever received any form of letter from TV Licensing, you would notice that it follows a set pattern:
- Your address has no Licence registered to it
- We will be visiting you
- We have opened an investigation and will call at your address soon.. After this stage, they go back to the 1st letter and the cycle will go on.

Rule of thumb is to never allow them gain entrance into your house, do not reply their letters or call them for any reason at all. If you inadvertently open the door and it is one of their officers, DO NOT let them in no matter how polite the person(s) is(are). Do NOT give them your name either. They have no power to arrest neither do they have any power to forcibly enter your home.

After all said though, to pay TV Licence that goes into the coffers of BBC or not is a decision only you can make.

Not sure if there are jobs for barbers. They are quite a few around but not sure if they are actually looking for someone as most of the barbers are actually the owners. I cant say as they might be looking for someone part time also. You can try when you come around. Most of them are around the Fratton area which where most Naijas are.

I beg to disagree with you. There is only one African barber around Fratton (on Fawcett Rd) and how do you justify your statement that Fratton is where most Nigerians are?

u can apply to University of Portsmouth. As an international student,u're entitled to a discount of 10% on ur tuition fees (cost of business related courses for 2008/09 is 8800 pounds and 14,500 for MBA International), Portsmouth is two and a half hours from london and cost of living is also cheaper than in london.admission is 2.2 for business management courses and 2.1 for MBA.
You dont need to apply through UCAS cos u're a postgraduate student.All u need do is apply to the school through their representatives in Nigeria, Glory Educational Services,3rd floor centage plaza,allen avenue,ikeja,lagos.
