I like the way you make assumptions because you have no idea the qualifications of the person you are communicating with. 7 years in advanced I.T is no joke and if I can't protect myself from simple hacks and exploits including keyloggers then I should just retire grin grin grin grin

You mention corporations and I laugh because you don't know the main premise behind I.T security. Let me share a little insight with you, companies like Yahoo, Facebook deal with millions and millions of Data, the more Data you deal with the more vulnerable your system becomes, that is why they spend billions and billions on security. Do you think one hacker can hack such a corporation? It takes a whole team of hackers with multiple hack attempts.
And what if a team of hackers decide to go against you?
Bottom line of your whole story, you can still be hacked, key logger or not

And I do know the premises behind IT security, I am not in India for nothing wink grin

And No, 1 very skilled hacker is enough to hack a corporation, google and research wink

I'm telling you what I know, I do consulting work for companies like Paypal. My personal and business accounts are set up in a way that even if you guessed the password, you'll never be able to guess the PIN and security questions. You'll need all three in order for any hack to work, you'll need to know all three in order to change any info. on the account and after three failed attempts the account is automatically locked and the only way to reopen it is through phone verification, it's only dumb people that'll leave themselves unprotected in this age of cybercrime.

Perhaps it is high time the people then began to demand that their government be run properly...instead of blaming tribe X Y or C.

And one of the signs of good governance is investment in education and power...so that we can become an inudstrial nation, and get off oil....and at the same time see a reduction in corruption.

But you Nigerians do not want that. You want your share of the oil money....you and the corrupt leaders.(And no, I am not here to make fun....I am serious).Even some of those fighting corruption and those fighting for fiscal federalism for the most part want a higher share of oil kudi...so that they can import luxuries for themselves in the name of empowerment.(That includes everyone...Northerns and Southerns.).

We need a change of mindset in this country.States need to develop innovative and oil free economies with their available resources. If they do that things will improve. We can no longer rely on oil. Oil is a curse.

LOL
Well , sad but true

bushdoc9919:
Not exactly....the cabal benefit from fuel subsidy removal more...they will be able to sell fuel at much higher prices....meaning higher profits than whatever they are getting now.

The reason why Nigeria has not removed subsidy is because most Nigerians are living below the poverty line...and see subsidy as the only good thing they get from the government. Forget the fact that it is not sustainable at all...even with high oil prices...Nigerians prefer cheap fuel. And let's be frank...once subsidy goes...fuel prices jump....which means foodstuff prices and transport prices jump. In other words...it would be like the early days of MTN/ECONET/ETC...when one sim could cost you thousands of naira....before prices went down thanks to competition.

But most Nigerians...including you....do not see that. You want your cheap oil. And that puts pressure on marketers...who under subsidy end up earning little or zero profit. So it is either they risk the wrath of the DPR...and sell fuel at high prices from N110 and above....or they inflate the amount of fuel they import...and pocket the difference...while importing less than they asked for. I know some marketers are corrupt...but they are businesspeople...who are not running charities.

When we had high oil revenues....we could afford subsidies. But now we cannot thanks to the drop in international oil prices. This means no kudi for the treasury...the same treasury that we use to pay for subsidies. That is the main reason why subsidy must go. The money is finished. Oil prices will never reach above $100 again. And Nigeria has too many people. The only solution we have now is industries.
And was it not Jonathan and his cohorts that looted Nigeria dry?
What was the money used for?
Why were refineries not built even though they were glaring problems
How can you remove subsidy without preparing for the effect on the economy?
People are living below poverty lines, how do you expect them to survive if subsidy is removed??
Politics › Re: We Have No Money To Import Fuel — Marketers by hustla(m): 5:19pm On May 24, 2015
AfricanGod2:
Forget National refineries. Look at the private refineries like the 400 000 barrels per day refinery dangote is building in Lagos. This is just because of the partial Removal of fuel subsidy. Now imagine how many more private refineries would have set up shop had Nigerians listened to Jonas Government. By now they would be nearing completion and Nigerians would have had to wait till next year or upper year to start enjoying their benefits. Instead Nigerians chose to listen to NLC and the opposition who think that Government must carry all the burdens of the country on it's head.

So to answer your question. The refineries have not been repaired by the government because it's distracted by the enormous amount of responsibility it has on it's plate which Nigerians and Nigerians keep stopping from relinquishing these responsibilities for more competent hands to handle.

Buhari will not solve this problem either if Nigerians keep saying the FG must do everything.
And what has been the end products of those 'responsibilities?'
Strikes?
Bad roads?
Insecurity?
Non payment of workers salaries?
Fulll glare large scale incompetence and corruption?

What?? Whathuh Tell me please
Politics › Re: We Have No Money To Import Fuel — Marketers by hustla(m): 9:24am On May 24, 2015
lanreni:
So you think its that simple? Remove subsidy now and get ready to buy fuel at 1,000per litre. The cabals will only turn their insatiable appetite to defenseless Nigerians. The ONLY way is to run refineries in Nigeria, by Nigerians. Let's see the explanation anyone can give for the cost of production at your backyard. Why do you think Dangote made an agreement with Clueless jonah to sell his own when it begins production at foreign market price, it becomes cheap when you produce locally. Thats less profit! The first assgnt of GMB is not to remove it, but settle these gluttons temporarily, get our refineries working and selling cheaper. Stop subsidy. Establish a framework of regulation and hands-off. We are about to have a president finally with balls to stand against cabals to see it through in this way, bringing a lasting solution. The cabals know this. That's why there are trying to get everything they can get now...desperate drowning cabals cling on anything. Even as it is now, you won' t believe how cheap fuel should be. No thanks to corruption.
Spot on bro!
Producing in our refineries could drop the prices to as low as 40 naira per litre but that means some people wont chop from the decadence of our refineries.

Politics › Re: We Have No Money To Import Fuel — Marketers by hustla(m): 9:16am On May 24, 2015
dROC1:
people are missing the key issues here.

1. The marketers are not magicians, they cannot lift fuel free of charge if GEJ refuses to pay them.
2. Is Nigeria so broke that it can't pay marketers as agreed? Recall that part subsidy has already been removed in 2012.
3. If GEJ fixed or built refineries over the past 6 years, there would be no talk of subsidy today.
4. Why are government workers and oil marketers suddenly being owed monies after elections?
5. Are refineries worth the trillions paid to their cronies as subsidy?

6. Removing subsidy only abdicates govt's responsibility and let's the masses bear the cost of subsidy instead of building refineries which they refuse to do for selfish reasons.
7. imagine the economic impact of foreign exchange spent on importing feul when we could produce and refine locally.

In conclusion, GEJ's govt simply refuses to pay marketers as agreed to punish Nigerians or is Nigeria too broke to pay? (I don think so).
Subsidy removal is welcome but only after the government fixes our refineries.

Wherever you are, may God bless you for these points
That is all!

That is the question we should ask

12 years and refineries are not in proper condition, how much will it take to build new ones?
