LucemFerre:Yep. I'm a shameless Nintendo fanboy. The N64 was my first console, and I got into a lot of their IPs from there. Her energy was infectious. You can't not like her. Even though I didn't really care about the game as well. ![]() |
My most exciting moment? The whole Nintendo Direct. It was excellent. Game after game after game. No dillydallying. Particular standouts are the Banjo-Kazooie Smash reveal, and the BOTW2 reveal. Good stuff. Then Keanu Reeves was cool, and the cute Japanese chick for Bethesda. ![]() |
yungmayor02:Try to install this first and then try again. If it doesn't work, I'm stumped. http://m.majorgeeks.com/files/details/microsoft_visual_c_2010_redistributable_package.html |
yungmayor02:Did you try this one, version 430.64? It's the absolute latest driver: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/147184/en-us |
yungmayor02:I had a similar issue with FIFA 18, but updating my drivers fixed it. Which graphics card are you using? |
I get you man. I can't add much to the conversation regarding newer games. I'm fatally outdated. I wanted to buy Forza Horizon 4, but on top of the retail price, I have to somehow buy enough data to download like 50GB. The cost implications are unsettling for me in my current state. ![]() I try my best though, when I see a topic I contribute to. |
cao:I don't know so much about Overwatch, but do they have K/D ratios and stuff? And if they do, won't all the backfill losses affect your ratio? Oh yes, I remember seeing some of your Zenyatta (I was about to say Kenyatta) videos as well. Lucio is the guy that looks like he was pulled straight out of JSRF (still the greatest game ever). But Junkrat is the first character that comes to mind when I think of you. |
cao:You can literally just jump into a game if someone dropped? That sounds interesting. And challenging. And you still won despite coming out of nowhere. So aptly titled I'd say. You're rather skilled at this Overwatch thing, especially when you've got Junkrat going at it. |
cao:I know it's been a long time since I've played games, because I was about to ask what FFA means, and I figured it out a few seconds later. Ooh, and thanks for your mini-review. I'm hoping to double-feature Captain Marvel and Shazam next week. Anyway, that was hectic looking. All over the place action. And of course, I'm impressed with that comeback. Good stuff! And your comments always make it 10x better. |
I highly doubt that Stadia is anywhere near making consoles 'obsolete'. It's got so many hurdles that you won't realize from Google's fancy demo. You want to stream games that total 50GB over the same connections that can't play a 720p YouTube video without buffering 58 times? |
cao:Beast!!! I've missed these. ![]() |
I don't want to boast (but that's exactly what I'm about to do). I am confidently supreme when it comes to Smash. I've been playing for over 15 years now, and Fox and Jigglypuff are my mains. I mained Jigglypuff in 64!!! I just love talking about Smash, because no one ever talks about Smash here. Anyway, I love the Fox recreation. It's not so horrific. Megaman looks like something those Cool 3D World guys would do. |
cao:Thank you for that, great reads. The part I found most funny was how everybody but EA (of course) complied when they told them to get rid of loot boxes. Tsk tsk. |
cao:EA is literally just a printing press for money at this point. It seems the foremost consideration in any decision they make is "How can we make the most money off this?". Customer satisfaction seems to be the absolute lowest consideration at this point. That Battlefront 2 thing still remains one of the daftest things I've ever seen. I didn't even know about the Belgium thing, but the way EA is going, it's not a bad idea at all. It's unfortunate that literally every game they make has to have some form of in-app purchases or loot boxes shoehorned in. Apex Legends has gotten off to a good start, but I trust EA to find some way to ruin it. |
Cyoung4real:I built it using Unity and C#. |
MJBOLT: Intergalactic empire!!! I'm laughing here!Thank you very much! |
cao:Much obliged! 100% Eternally Grateful. ![]() |
Hey cao, is it possible to get this suggested for FP? I would be eternally grateful. |
I've released a new Android game! You can check it out here: https://www.nairaland.com/4985904/chroma-new-android-game-made |
This was hard, but it's also the first 1000+ score. ![]()

It's me again, folks. My gratitude for your support with the last game, I am appreciative! I know it was kind of difficult and everything, so this time around, I've come with a simpler game that gets faster the better you are. It's called Chroma. I've put together a little video to showcase the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsR-hn3Dofo The concept is rather simple. You drag the block at the bottom and align it with the descending brick of the same colour. You just keep repeating this to see how high your score can get. It starts off rather slow and simple, but when you hit 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and even 400 points, it speeds up. You can unlock new themes by scoring certain amounts, and each theme comes with new visuals and new music. If you've got Google Play Games, you can rank on the Leaderboards, to see how good you are compared to everyone else. And all the music in the game was made by me, so I hope you all like it. You can download the game on the Play Store, I'll put the link below, and it really helps if you tell your friends about it and drop a 5-star review for us. Thanks to you all, our previous game, Blockhead, actually peaked at #3 on the Trending Games chart for the Play Store in Nigeria. Thank you so much guys, and I hope you enjoy it! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=indecyfer.chroma

I can answer the second question. An Xbox One S (with Bluetooth) can be gotten between 10 to 15k on Jumia. I assume the price when buying physically should be very similar. |
SmooshCHN:These are fantastic. |
Late, but happy belated birthday cao. Many more mentions from herbal tea drinking Nairalanders. And many more adversaries telling you to "Do something about the gaming section". ![]() |
I was absolute that NMS was going to be on this list. I remember the hype and eventual disappointment surrounding Watchdogs and Spore as well. |
Impressive. Don't we get the name of your channel though? |
Trust2001:Seconded. |
The jokes make themselves. |
Personally, I just think we don't have the technological capability to achieve such realism in gaming. Movies are making their way there with digital doubles and recreations of deceased actors, but it's still not 100% convincing. A lot better than what we have in games though because the systems used to render such scenes in film are a lot more capable than the average gaming system or console. Poorly done attempts at realism can tend to be more disgusting than appealing anyway. The Uncanny Valley might be a good read at this point, if you haven't heard of it. |
Our game was showcased by a user on YouTube! Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUbBak69LCs |
hardeycute:Thank you, I appreciate it. 1. Well, we felt the levels were quite short. I'd say the longest level takes about 20 seconds or less to traverse, so we felt a pause button might not be necessary. 2. Yes, unfortunately it was difficult arranging the levels because the difficulty was mainly subjective. 3. Yes, the stars unlock costumes, which you can access in the costumes menu! |
cao:Oh, I see. Forgive me. |
