SMGs for me. |
Sims was and still is the shizznat. The amount of hours adolescent me put into Sims House Party is uncountable. |
Awesome. Hollywood-esque. What I find fascinating is how ordinary the couple looks. They obviously didn't sell this one to have still been in possession of it, yet they had so much cash, so I think it's safe to say this wasn't the first job. |
TechCapon:Not quite. HMD broke into the top 10 for Q2. |
TissuePaper:Nope, I played it on PC, but it must have been quite an experience to play it on a big screen. |
Limbo was awesome. Beautiful art concept and a really well thought out game. |
Expected to see Wolfenstein there. The mocking tone made me stay away from the easiest difficulty. Like, who do they think I am? I've heard tales of the legendary difficulty of Ninja Gaiden Black. |
Take cover and reload. I agree. I've never switched weapons as a means to 'reload'. I impulsively reload after killing a batch of enemies, or before entering a new room, but sometimes in the thick of it, bullets run out. In those cases, I take cover, and reload. Pistols are useless in most shooters as far as I'm concerned. Well, except Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, where the stealth benefits were massive. And GTA V, where I use them to headshot. And Perfect Dark, where they were pretty freaking powerful (Magnums though). Okay, maybe not so useless. |
LucemFerre:Same here. I owned the N64, so I played a lot of the games for it. The other half I emulated. ![]() I've played a lot of Gameboy Advance games, a few for the DS, and a single title each for the Wii and GameCube. So, I'm not quite up to date with them, but I guess it's mostly loyalty to their multiple franchises. Yes. Half-Life 3 is all we need right now, but nooooo... Valve doesn't want to make the world happy. A shame. |
I'm glad you put Nintendo as an honourable mention, because they are easily my top. Too many memories from too many top notch titles over the years. Second for me might be Valve. |
Half-Life 2, Ocarina of Time, and Super Mario were the three games I had to see on this list. I am highly pleased. Seen my brother play a lot of Skyrim, and I've played MGS2, so I partially agree with those entries. |
Well, I guess they both had to focus on their careers. And his career is gaming. |
The name Pistachio has NOT been confirmed. Yes, it was 'leaked', but regardless is not yet official. |
jaz:Man oh man. I finished The Old Blood recently too. I was so relieved, the game would have given me a heart attack at some point if it was any longer. And that final boss was frustrating. |
Dude, you're mad good at this. I'm highly impressed. And you've got some good inspiration, because these are really creative. I dabbled in Maya almost a decade ago, before school took over. Lost all my models, not like any of them were this good anyway. I know how hard it is though. Excellent work man. Keep going at it. |
LucemFerre:Ah, I see what you mean now. I agree entirely. I was confusing it with 'multi-platform'. Stupid me. In addition to your last point, I read that if you exclude Fortnite's profits, Q2 profits from 2018 would have been a 6% drop from 2017. Phenomenal. I mean, once again coming to Fortnite, they did it, so it's definitely possible. They even went the extra step of allowing iOS to crossplay with consoles. If that's not ridiculous, I don't know what is. Whether it's Switch, or Xbox, or PC, or an iPhone, you can play together?? More of these guys should get on that. Epic is by no means a small company, but come on, if they can do it, why can't EA? |
Unfortunately, the hardware manufacturers are always looking for how to push one person from another console to theirs. It's all about the games, so that's typically the easiest way to do it. "You don't have this console? Too bad, you'll never be able to play this stupidly awesome title." And it works. Hopefully one day in the future, I'll play Uncharted. Once all games are universal, it's hard for the console makers to make any money, because most other incentives you can think of aren't powerful enough to pull people in as much as any of the Big 3 want. Imagine Nintendo gives the others access to their huge slate of first party properties. You could have Breath of the Wild playing at native 4K, easy. Good for gamers, but bad for business. In the end, it's not really about gamers, but about the money they make through us. The software developers benefit either way, exclusive or not, but not the hardware guys. But don't think I don't agree with you. Fortnite is completely cross-platform in terms of online play, if I'm right, and I think that's friggin' awesome. Probably unprecedented. |
taiocol:Present. I'm still writing exams though, so I've been indoors. Oh yes, and my M5 finally gave up, so no pictures from me as the temp is crap. |
Vasaratti16:It takes a lot to apologize, especially when you don't have to. Especially when you can run away, or completely ignore. It's alright dude. Forgiven. I'd love to see original content from you in the future. Keep contributing to this section, because you really kept it active. |
ITT: A slew of comments from self-righteous individuals who believe they are above video games, yet are the first to devolve into a shouting match over whether Messi is better than Ronaldo. Life pro tip: Don't be a hypocrite. |
You've made a good point. RPGs are typically centered around character development, with leveling up and customizing your character in terms of weaponry, armor, skill sets and so on. They also tend to have more open worlds than other games, which are considerably more linear. Most games, are literally role-playing, but I suppose RPGs are a little more involved than others, because they give you more freedom, and more choice in 'playing the role'. But yeah, it's a generic name. |
MobileGees:No one's chasing him away. All he needs to do is acknowledge his source. I'm personally a little disappointed because I thought they were original writings. |
LucemFerre:I've played a little of Payback, and I didn't really like it. I'm a racing game enthusiast, so I guess I don't like the linear gameplay that NFS has been embracing recently. NFSU2 still remains the best in the series for me, and Project Gotham Racing 2 remains the best racing game I've ever played.r Maybe the reboot is better though. |
LucemFerre:Same here, briefly played WWII, but AW is the latest one I've played extensively. I hadn't heard of that. That's not going to end well, Ubisoft tried something like that once, and yeah... Didn't end well. And this is on top of the Battlefront controversy. Sometimes I wonder who runs EA. |
MGS without Kojima was destined to fail. Worst move Konami ever made. Call of Duty should have died years ago. Same formula with a different skin, year in, year out. That's why FPS fans are flocking to games like Fortnite and PUBG. Because they bring something new, and they don't cram it down your throat every year. |
SmooshCHN:Gorgeous! |
My addition is the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. |
Vasaratti16:Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow still remains one of the hardest games I've ever played. I haven't played anything related to any of the others you put up. |
1realBobby:Yeah, I did, I put just 100 on it, but I got it at 3.3. |
I can't lie, I'm impressed. He maintained composure and took all his jabs with a nice calmness. A smart individual I'd say. I wish I shared his prudence. :p |
1realBobby:Well done! You know your stuff. |
skales67:The GT-R is half the price of Italian exotics, yet it can still seriously hold its own against them. It's constantly competing lap times with these V12s. A C200? Funny. The GT-R hits 0-60 twice as fast. |

I haven't played anything related to any of the others you put up.
