Exposure and shutter speed are the same. Using long exposure in daytime will always result in an over exposed image. Sometimes reducing your ISO to the minimum, or use a higher F-stop like 16 and above. If all does not work, like the picture you were talking of, I used a ND filter which allows the picture to be very dark in daytime so you can use much slower shutter speed.
Ah. I see. Will try that our immediately. Thanks for that tip bro.

Thanks a lot. I'll keep updating the thread. And to keep things going, if you have any questions choice concerning gadgets I'm up. cheesy
Great! I'll be sure to ask if anything comes to mind.

Although have a bit of a question... The picture of the waterfall where you used a longer exposure? Is exposure the same as shutter speed? When I tried to use a delayed shutter in daytime, I got too much light and the whole photo turned white. Does that mean it's not possible to take pictures with longer shutter in daylight?

Thank you. I'd love any advice from you. With 80k here, you can get a Nikon D90 and a 50mm F1/8. 80k might not be enough in Nigeria. As for mirror less camera, their not as rugged as DSLRs and have mediocre battery life but they're also good when it comes to performance. for flexibility, and lens compatibility, DSLR are the best way to dab into photography. A bang for buck is DSLR
Advice from me? I should be getting advice from you! But I'll see what I can say.

I most likely won't be getting it in Nigeria, so that might help me quite a bit.

Modified: looking at your latest pictures, I've gotta say you've really got Talent.

The wire fence and the pseudo-macro wink are really nice. Love the bokeh in those two.

The 3rd is astounding cuz of the colours and the reflection tops everything off to make absolute beauty.

The gym shot is cool cuz of the colour on top of the black and white, but just like you, I love the last one. Perfect timing.

You really are good. I can't say that anything so far could have been done better. I do like closeup shots though... Macros. Would be nice to see you do a few of those.

sunset somewhere in Africa... (my hood actually)

the supposed mountains are rooftops.
I'm still learning from bosses like HyDef and SmooshCHN
Gionee p5w
Aww, come on man... I'm flattered.

I actually like the second one, cuz the rooftops look a lot like mountains, but they are both nice pictures. All it takes is practice. And constructive criticism as well.

Your pictures are astounding.

I'm considering getting a DSLR myself. I need a real cheap one though... Money is tight. I'm also studying medicine by the way.

Can you recommend a good budget dSLR for me? And what do you think of mirrorless cameras?

Not all devices are capable of taking photos with a shallow depth of field. Actually very few devices can do that.
True. I was just talking about the autofocusing really. You'd be looking at flagships for those with the lowest f-numbers. Like the LG G4 with f/1.8. smiley

youngelder:
OK..BTW..seems like our camera UI is the same
Mine is a Gionee M5. So I'm supposing you also use a Gionee in that case.

ie I should NOT use the touch-to-capture feature?
Exactly. Don't use it.

Touching to focus will allow you to select the exact object in the scene that you want clear and beautiful. If you have touch to capture on, every time you touch the screen, it'll take a picture, and we don't want that.

I touched my fingernail to focus on it, and take the background out of focus as a result.
Sorry for the poor quality. My hand shook a little when taking the screenshot.

youngelder:
pls how can I autofocus.. such that other parts of the pics would be blurry.. while the object in focus if clear..
First, your device may not support, but almost all nowadays do.

If you're not set on touch to capture, touch any part of the screen. A box should appear and it should focus.

If it takes a picture, you've got touch to capture on.

Check in your settings for the camera and turn it off.

Try again. It should work.

I can't wait to watch Deadpool. I'm a hardcore Batman fan, and lean a little towards DC but I'm definitely not a fanboy.

My brother showed me the trailer and I was laughing my head off. Funny stuff. I always knew Deadpool as one of the least serious comic book antiheroes, and I think that's what makes wanna watch it so bad. No cinema for this one though... I'll get it... Through other means. grin

I extract to sd and then install the apk but it asks for download. I extract to phone, it does the same thing.

You mean, run the apk then extract the data to the phone?

You know what? Marshmellow wahala is too much. Downgrading to lollipop asap!
Yeah, thats what I mean. Run the apk. Close it, force stop it if you must. Then check your phone and SD card and see where it put the empty folder for the game.
You can then extract the folder there.

What exactly happens when you put the folder in the right place and run the game? It still asks to download?

If that's the problem you have, you can try running the game first, before moving the folder to the proper place, then running it again.

You gerrit! But my RR3 has refused to download for a month now..
You can download the data file separately based on your phone's GPU. That's what I did. Here:

http://revdownload.com/index.php?id=android-real-racing-3-apk-mod-data

You don't need to download the APKs, I think that's what's responsible for the modding. Just the data file and you'll be fine.

O don't get the point of playing hacked or modded versions of games. What's the point. Progression is one of the main points of a game. Remove that and what do you have left? huh

Have a friend who only plays modded Subway Surfers, Temple Run... I don't understand it. Now in a game like this, where building up to buy more awesome vehicles is, well, awesome, how do you feel when you remove that?
