.

I finally had to bypass the UPS socket and connect an extension directly to the output cables in the UPS and it's working now.

There's no way it will not work if properly done and the components are all working correctly. This is same way I get output from all my converted APC UPS and I've not experienced a single issue.
Firstly, check that your UPS has output.
Then check the cable used and the socket, one of the listed is faulty.

Thanks

OK...thanks, I suspect the cable.

Get a computer power cable in to in or male female as it's called. You can now attach a regular socket to the end.

Thanks

I already got the cable, cut one end and attached it to a socket but it didn't work. There was a little voltage in the socket but it was very negligible. Could it be that the cable cannot be rewired the way I did it?

How will you give a child with pulmonary hypertension say 15mg of Sildenafil once or twice daily for 1 month and the available form is the 100mg tablets? And this child needs to take it in suspension form.
I know you will tell me to just divide the tablets...grin

I read most comment here and I just laughed.how many young pharmacist do you see in the hospital,After their internship most go into industrial and community practice and why is this so? Because of all these unnecessary tussle for power by these egocentric doctors, why would I stay in a hospital and earn 120k when I can earn 5* of that in a moment, stock my premise, add my mark up, provide quality services, good counselling skills, treat some minor ailement that doesn't require going to the hospital.

You all doctors can wallow with your 200k and above salary, but don't look down on any pharmacist,

Those who know, know grin

Don't allow anyone to belittle you.
Pharmacy is a noble and respected profession.
Wicked Nigeria doctors have tried to pull down that profession due to insecurities but to no avail.
Pharmacy is versatile.
Many pharmacists don't work in a hospital sef.
They connect themselves to a foreign pharm industry as their Nigerian rep and make money,
Some take loan and establish their big pharmacy.
Big pharmacy make more profits weekly than 90% of private hospitals.
Have you seen a pharmacist in a private hospital before?
It's beneath them.
If you formulate one drug product and sell, it's millions.
Hold your head high.
You are in a wonderful profession.

Thank you!
You know the drill...
If pharmacists are after money, the hospital is the last place they will look. They have no idea how much money there is in pharmacy.

These ignorant docs be forming yeye boss grin

Funny enough, those doctors know more of the indications of drugs than u do... A doctor prescribes a drug for it side effect for the therapeutic benefit of the patient u claim it's a wrong prescription. Who then do we say know much about drug the doctor that knows the clinical aspect of the patient & what he/she should benefit from or the pharmacist that do not know the pathological basis of the prescription hence rushed into saying, it's a wrong prescription

The issue here is not only about therapeutic indications. Didn't you see the other things I stated or you think those ones don't constitute wrong prescription?

pls u self retaliate by employing auxiliary doctor if ur opportune to have a hospital..

lol..

am a medic and the only people I ll love to employ in my hospital are the med lab or rather microbiologist.. other sector na trained ordinary sales boy who can dispense drug in place of a pharmacist, a trained lady as nurse,

employ professional nurse and pharmacist say wetin wen I can actually train cheap ones myself.. hian,

Just thesame thing my brother do in his hospital.
You can only do that because of regulatory lapses and pharmacist are still few and most are not so interested in hospital practice.
But that will soon change with more regulatory strictness and more pharmacists in the system.

In my few months of practice as a community Pharmacist I have come to a conclusion that Nigerian doctors are synonymous with prescription/medication errors. 3 out of every 5 Prescription comes with significant errors. If Pharmacies keeps records of all prescriptions received and shows them(errors) to the public I'd believe patients will be scared of visiting doctors here

The things I see eh...
We cover up for them but they don't realise it.

Is it the inappropriate dosage or non-existent strengths that they prescribe or the mixing up of brand and generic names? Or prescribing two agents in the same pharmacological class without any rationale?

Abeg no open their nyash for public grin

Hahahahahahaha.
Am I surprised?NO.
My time in Nigeria is rounding up, time to move out,
Just let my baby clock 1.
Any co graduate nurse should save up money and leave this pit toilet of a country.
You will know your real value outside.
Let the malaria and typhoid specialists continue to deceive themselves in the name of NMA.
The real doctors are outside the country,
Local champions grin grin grin
.

No be small local champions o grin

These guys don't know that we cover their Bleep ups in front of patients when they write all those nonsense prescriptions...and most of them just copy the consultant. If you leave them alone to work, na wahala be that. Abeg, let me not open their nyash here

I really respect the few who are honest enough to ask for assistance from other professionals. Those are the real doctors.

Actually u need better exposure on d Nigerian situation, I kw u are a student reading pharmacy n building castles in the air based on Google info pls stop wasting ur time n go n pick up another JAMB n go for more decent medical courses.

Pharmacy student? Smh...grin

I have been in the profession for a few years now and I know the situation.
What you are talking about was obtainable in the past but not anymore. And Nigerians are becoming more aware that they can get more out of their pharmacist than they previously realised especially the enlightened ones.

And for the record, I chose to study Pharmacy and I don't regret it one bit. So much diversity unlike doctors who are stuck in the hospital. Every passing day, I thank God that I am a pharmacist.

I live in a big Nigerian city d highest a pharmacist does is to own a pharmacy shop n wait for doctor s prescription to dispense drugs to you which same with what a patent medicine dealer does

In Nigeria pharmacist are almost useless, we import most of our drugs so forget d part where u claim u manufacture drugs bc less than 10% does dt.

MLS n nurses are far ahead of useless pharmacists in Nigeria

So you've never heard of OTC medications?
You've not seen people walk into a pharmacy to make a complaint to the pharmacist? A good number of people who visit hospitals went to the Pharmacy first.
