@hydronium thank you for the quickly reply so please which of the watts should I get, because I'm seeing from the jumia shop , we have one of 786 watt thereabouts (590 with tf) and also on konga it's is 800watt with a cost of about 1m so I'm relatively confused.

Please I'm really sorry to bother on this and also how many solar panels would he used if one is purchase the recommended.

Thank you.

P:S please is the attached pic,the recommended
You have the right product in this screenshot. purchase from Jumia. A 300W panel is sufficient for the River 2 pro.

Hi everyone,
Please can I use this product to kickstart my journey into solar, although isn't eco flow as I don't have the said amount for it , I really need light as the year has just began.

Please advised, if I join with solar panels can I get the need power as the only large consumption appliances in my house is my deep freezer which is 100w. and I really don't watch tv since my phone can give me all the entainment I want.

Thanks 😊
Yoobao is a good product and it's what I originally intended to buy (en1200q).
But if the price is comparable to river 2 pro, better to go for ecoflow

Stopped writing on here for a while when I found this, I couldn't keep writing and encouraging people to buy a brand which a certain model has been reported to stop working by many people, as a result of a failed firmware update. Was so glad to know the unit was replaced, moving forward, I'll advise to not have Ecoflow power stations, especially the delta family connected to the internet.
What good could come from the update? No update is going to make your power station charge faster, or increase its battery capacity, the Bluetooth connection is just enough.
My power station has not been connected to the internet for weeks now, and it'll remain so permanently, having learned updates could crash the system, before all of this ,I had stopped getting the power station connected to my home WiFi, one day I was using a tool to check traffic from my devices (routine check) then I confirmed the power station was uploading files, these files were most likely usage logs and such, but I wasn't comfortable with that, no permission requested so.
This could be a way to actually track the number of times you have cycled the batteries in your power station ( so you can't lie about this when you need the warranty to work for you), and I'm certain Ecoflow could shut down any power station remotely, advanced connectivity and privacy they say are mutually exclusive, well, it is what it is, but i don't like it, kicked it off my home internet, turns out it was a good move for other reasons.
Somehow, this works for me. At times when I'm out late, I can access my ecoflow app and control my D2 which is connected to the home wifi. So I can access all it's functionality and either turn it on or off, remotely.

I can even tell if there's NEPA light by the input voltage.

Presently, I'm out several kms out, and I just turned off my D2 which I deliberately left on.

Also, the only way to use the automation function is to connect the D2 to the Internet.

I use a wall-mounted voltage regulator (5KVA Duravolt) for my entire house, so I've never encountered the clicking issue.

You can only probably use it during the day with solar if you use a Delta 2 or it will die in about 3-4 hours. My fridge which is non inverter is 90-100w. Those inverter fridges or refrigerators are the real deal. They can last over 15 hours with the delta 2
Yes. I use it only while charging my D2 during the day.

Yeah energy efficient appliances are the way to go, if your midea fridge isn't one with an inverter compressor then you're rightly pissed.
Lol. My 250L freezer consumes 200W minimum. I seem comfortable with it for now though.

Can i order the 3m MC4 to xt-60 connector from the temu link dropped here? Also why do i need to modify the generator changeover if the plug is working and the wire is connected to the main grid of the house? I’ll probably get a specialist to help mount the solar and do the connections. Do i have to order the solar extension cable online or its something the specialist can get for me after getting necessary measurements? I wanted to get all materials needed from my end for the specialist. That’s why I’m asking
You need to ascertain the exact length of cable you need. Don't panic about being short. You can always extend a short one with extra cable. The same technician can view the surrounding and recommend the length of cable you will need.

When I first bought my cables, I was short, but it wasn't until the technician came to fix my panel that I agreed that I needed extra cables. I had to go out that evening to get extra cables which was joined to the original cable using black tape. i used 4mm cable.

Fret not. Other than fixing the solar panel, I am sure that every other resource you need is on this thread. Just read through.

Explain this assertion...
When your generator is running, your D2 output (the 13A plug) CANNOT be connected to the mains, otherwise, voltage from the generator will flow through the mains into your D2. This is potentially dangerous to your device and your entire household.

also, Both D2 and generator cannot output to the mains at the same time or you run the risk of a ballistic explosion in your community, your house being the firework.

Even the most careful among us may forget just once. That one time is sufficient to burn down the house. That's why it's wise to use another changeover.

I gave out my generator, so I simply adapted the changeover to fit my D2. I explained firmly to my wife. The day anyone ever brings in a generator, we must observe these rules.

You need an MC4 to xt-60 connector. Then changeover (s). The exact length of cable can only be determined by you or you enlist the services of an electrician.

If you don't know how to mount the solar panel, I'd suggest you enlist the help of a specialist once and for all. Mounting the panel and fixing the changeovers are really the only 'technical' part of the work.

If you have an existing generator changeover, you can modify it for your Delta 2. If you intend to use your generator from time to time, you may need a new changeover (its possible to use the old one, but you need to observe a few rules).

If you find any of the above technical, please enlist the services of a technician. Better safe than sorry.

P. S. Below is a pix of the MC4 to Xt60 connector

Before April I am going to add an extra 100ah powmr lifepo4 battery to my setup.
I have watched a couple of videos of how many people have used external batteries to provide longer backup power for their power stations instead of buying expensive OEM extra batteries like in the case of ecoflow.

All that's required is a battery and an external charger.

Then you charge the power station with extra battery with an oring to xt60i connector.

This is very possible and realistic....
I've heard about this and it makes sense. How much is 100Ah lifepo battery?

Okay. Is it just the jinko 555w solar panel and the mc4 connector from temu I need for the setup to work? Amd how effective is it during the day if you’re running load of at least 400w while charging and using? Will the powerstation get charged to 100% by evening?
D2 uses a maximum charging power of 500W. To achieve this, you may need to overpanel, that is, increase your panel setup to at least 700W so that you can always get 500W.
However, since your running load is constantly 400W, the chances of charging up your D2 from 0 to 100% from morning to night is very slim. You may need to depend on grid supply from time to time. Or gasoline generator.

Now that the harmattan period is gradually dissipating and cloudy skies are appearing...highest I got today was 350 watts as opposed to 320 in December. I expect things to get better when the first rainfall does its work. Heat season dey appear small small.

Was cloudy here today. Not sure what the input was today, but I know it's getting pretty hot 🥵🔥

To think that I sold a D2 late last year only to buy D2 again same late last year is laughable.incurred about a 100k loss but we meuveeee.

I realized its not about buying a bigger power box but managing my energy consumption and applying wisdom.

My setup is taking shape.
D2 was picked up at Jumia pickup station in ABC Adeniyi Jones. ( D2 is now close to 2m on Jumia , this is due to demand I guess )

15m 10awg extension cable ordered and delivered by Jumia ( bought at 61k , it came with mc4 connectors already fixed in , it was a great bargain for me because I did an extensive market survey before buying) plus cable quality is topnotch.

545 watts original Eastman solar panel from device pro , they actually had jinko but I wanted Eastman for no specific reason though.

The only thing stopping me now is the mc4 to xt60 connector , it was ordered on Temu on the 29th of December. ( 12awg)

Will keep you guys posted.
I must appreciate @Twosquare for his updates which has gingered me to replicate.

Thanks to all other contributors as well.
Happy to hear and good for you cool. I'd like to hear more about the output of your Eastman solar panel after you set it up.

It's curious to hear that D2 is now close to N2M. Could be a glitch in the pricing algorithm because prices of other ecoflow devices are relatively unchanged.

Sure...before I left. I have travelled for the holidays...I think these days 250 - 270 before I left. When I check the panel on the roof, burnt leave sediments and dust. If you check some of my posts, I quoted someone with the same fears, but come rain in February, he got good input close to the rated wattage. So, we have to wait for the clear sky, not dusty haze covering the sun.
Oh I see. I get around 240 around here. With the rains also come cloudy days and thunderstorms, lol. I guess we'll see by then. Happy holidays!

Same here. I cut off the MC4 end of my xt60 cable and used a 4mm (14Awg) cable to extend it to the solar panel. Buying a long xt60 cable was an expensive and pointless option

Still grid light...waiting patiently for my cable delivery. I'm not comfortable with using NEPA light to charge. It sometimes changes gear...paka...have you noticed something like that?
Well, I use a voltage regulator for my flat, so I don't get that sound often. I guess it must be the relays trying to adjust to the change of current.
I guess the grid issue did not affect everybody as I've only had 2 hours of nepa light in the past 72 hours.

I was feeling funky today. So because I live in a bungalow, I fetched a bucket of water and poured over my solar panel. This led increase in output of about 30Watts, having washed away the harmattan dust.

sup chief, I have this refrigerator of 103w running watts with starting watts of more than 1000w ( I Knw this cos it draw craze comot from my generator of 2.5kva when it powers on at first). Can I use this in a 1kva inverter?
No. 1kva means around 750W (that is with inverter efficiency of 75%). Unless the inverter has high surge that can accommodate devices with high starting power, which I doubt. Check however.
