CrimeHurray! Molestation Festival In India Begins This Week by HyeBits(op): 4:53pm On Nov 07, 2013
Men in India are already beginning to celebrate as the annual Assam Rape Festival is just days away. Every non-married girl age 7-16 will have the chance to flee to safety or get raped.

Madhuban Ahluwalia who heads up the annual festival told reporters why the event is so important. “This is a long time tradition in Assam dating back thousands of years,” says Ahluwalia. “We rape the evil demons out of the girls, otherwise they will cheat on us and we will be forced to kill them. So it is necessary for everyone.”

The Assam Festival began in 43 BC when Baalkrishan Tamil Nadu raped everyone in his village of Doomdooma. Baalkrishan Tamil Nadu is remembered every year at this event, in fact the trophy given to the man with the most rapes is called “The Baalkrishan”.

24-year-old Harikrishna Majumdar told reporters that he has been training all year for this event. “I’m going to get the most rapes this year. I’ve been practicing all year. I rape my sister and her friends every day. I will be rape superstar number one! I will get the Baalkrishan prize this year for sure!”

12-year-old Jaitashri Majumdar told reporters she almost made it through last year’s festival without getting raped. “I came so close to not getting raped. I almost got to the ‘rape-free-zone’ at the edge of town, but at the last minute 9 men jumped on me and raped me. Luckily I am just recovering now so I can participate in this year’s events, otherwise I would be put to death by stoning.”

34-year-old Brian Barnett from Toronto who is visiting Assam on business told reporters he will be missing the festivities this year. “My company did not tell me anything about a rape festival happening while I was here. Are you serious, a rape festival? I’m getting the f*ck out of this backwards country tonight.”

India is second in reported rapes in the world only behind the United States, though critics are quick to point out that is only because most rapes in India go unreported.

'Overeducation' Linked With Poor Mental Health
By By Rachael Rettner, Senior Writer | LiveScience.com – Mon, Aug 12, 2013

NEW YORK — People with too little education to meet their needs are known to be at increased risk of certain mental health problems, but now a new study suggests that too much education may also have detrimental effects on mental health.

People in the study who were "overeducated" — who had more years of education than their jobs required — were at an increased risk of depression, the researchers said.

The study analyzed information from more than 16,600 employed people ages 25 to 60 in 21 countries in Europe. Researchers measured participants' levels of depression based on their answers to survey questions, and presented their results here Saturday (Aug. 10) at the American Sociological Association meeting.

The reason overeducated people may have an increased risk of mental distress could be because, by definition, they are not challenged by their jobs, and cannot use all of the skills they acquired during their education, said study researcher Piet Bracke, a professor of sociology at Ghent University in Belgium.

They also have jobs with less status and prestige, and tend to have unbalanced support networks — they rely on others for support more often than those people are able to provide it — which may contribute to their depression risk, Bracke told LiveScience.

Previous research in Europe has found that people with lower education levels have about double the risk of having severe and frequent symptoms of depression, compared to people with more education, but the risk varies depending on country.

The new study also found that having many highly educated people in a given country can have detrimental effects on the mental health of all people with college degrees. In countries where more education did not provide significantly more job security or salary, even those with degrees who had jobs that matched their skill level saw declines in their mental health on average, Bracke said.

"If the economic returns of education decrease, it affects the mental health of all the well-educated," Bracke said. [7 Ways to Reduce Job Stress]

Still, Bracke said that he did not consider the expansion of higher education a bad thing.

But in many western countries, labor markets are slow to catch up with the increasing numbers of overeducated people, leading to a lack of challenging jobs for these people, Bracke said.

"At the country level, if the number of people with university education continues to rise, [and] if there isn't an equivalent upgrading of the labor market, it will deteriorate the mental health of the population," Bracke said.

While people may start out with a job that they are overqualified for in the beginning of their career, they need opportunities to move upward in their field within a few years, or they could experience declines in mental health, Bracke said.

What does God have to do with this.We don't accept homosexuality because it is alien to our culture full stop.We are not "Godless" but we are a nation full of raping and kidnapping,419,child marriage, drug dealers, fathers impregnating daughters and using humans for rituals and cheating in exams etc. Are we more godly than any other country?
It is always the brainless that invoke God's name in debates
There are so many good arguments against homosexuality in our country and none of them has anything to do with God.Why is it when it come to this we remember God.Do you need gods to tell you not to eat s,hit huh
When it comes to evil Nigeria is probably the most godless place on earth so spare us the "God" crap !
There are so many forces that pervert the minds of men everywhere and plenty of that in Nigeria too so stop the brainless generalizations. Homosexuality has been around long before America or the West. So it is NOT a western thing .At least America gave the world the Internet. What has the "godly" Nigeria contributed to mankind. Please mention one thing of value that has come out of Nigeria.
Your Jesus probably was a gay anyway!
Thanks for the brilliantly driven unpopular point of yours about our culture. The issue with people like you stem from the fastidious position you accord western way of life. You really don't see democracy as movement with religious and cultural movement of its own. You may fail to understand that you are one of its followers or apologists, in any case. Come to terms brother, a society fail to recognise some people rights in POLYGAMY but champion rights for the GAY. What do you say about this?

Bleep me shocked

Ok, I'l tell you what.
You Would you rather have Pan-African Solidarity of thieves to having an African leader wanted by the ICC.
I'm suprised at ur level of reasoning, I saw somewhere in ur signature something about Chemical engineering.. Not everybody with a university degree is educated. U are one of such that passed thru the university and never allowed the university pass thru u. U might be a chemical engineer for real or just catfishing but whichever u are, its obvious u're an illitrate. Either an educated illitrate or a stack illitrate or a born-fool. U choose 1.

Look at what is happening in the Rivers state house of Assembly. How is the Sudanese president any different from those criminals and vagabonds in power at the Rivers state house of assembly.. I only said the sudanese president is ok with nigeria as a choice destination cos he has birds of same feather with people in rivers state House of assembly..
The sudanese president is a criminal and he's on nigerian soil..
So much for Africa Solidarity..
African Soliderity of theives and thugs and cultist and rogues..

I will not be an African in Solidarity with Criminals because of African Solidarity..
That's is why the entire african continent is regarded to be backward in time..
That is why hunger plague Ugandan, Congo, Somalia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali.. That is y corrupt leaders move about freely with impunity.

Mr African solidarity, I can't believe u said f*uck me..

Ok! I am f*ucked and u've made a point.
Thank you God Bless you and F*uck me.
Thank you brother for those stellar brilliance in your argument. If all these your reasoning and response is an outgrow of the education (WESTERN)that you are bequeathed, I will advice you return your western education certificates and ask for a refund from your teachers. Don't you know what is at stake in the world? I'm not in support of Al-Bashir, but the ICC should have long issued the same warrant of arrest to the likes of Bush(Jnr.), Clinton, Blair, Cameron, Obama and the other western criminals. Do the thinking on the world events, why the Africa is usually the scape goat? Well, I'm not a theorist as you but a realist.

EducationVictor Olalusi:How I Emerged The Best Medical Student In A Russian University by HyeBits(op): 10:31am On Jul 06, 2013
A Nigerian student, Victor Olalusi recently emerged the best graduating student with a grade point of 5.0 at the Faculty of Clinical Sciences at the Russian National Research Medical University, Moscow.

Olalusi in 2004 had the best result in the West African School Certificate Examination result in 2004 and was the best Science Student in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination in 2006. He also had the highest Obafemi Awolowo University Post UME score in 2006.

In this interview with Lekan Otufodunrin, Olalusi speaks on his accomplishments and quality of education in Russia.

Congratulations on emerging as the best graduating student in your faculty, how did you accomplish this feat?

First and foremost, I would like to thank God for these successes. Mostly, I do the much I can, which can be very little, but with God, little is much. Besides that, I would say I was spurred on by a genuine interest to become better than I was yesterday. More pragmatically, I took every class as it came and made sure I gave each of them equal attention; attended my lectures, referred to resource materials and with the much-needed grasp of the language, things turned around. And of course, that’s not undermining personal study hours, hard work, diligence and self-discipline.

In a foreign country, you are your own parent, cum your own ‘child’, what I mean is, besides being a student, you do everything for yourself, so effective time management is key to anything you do.

How will you describe the Russian education system compared with your experience in Nigeria?

Besides the fact one has to study in Russian language, the education system in Russia is intensive and more students friendly. Everything, lecture materials, school books, internet resources are at the tip of your fingers. The lectures hours, lecture halls and classes are very decent – what I mean is the student study environment here is more conducive. For instance, you do not need to run to a lecture at 5:00am (as we students had to sometimes do in OAU) to grab a seat. There are seats enough, and those at the rare end of the halls get the gist of the lecture just in the same way as those in the front. The Lecturers don’t scare you; rather they welcome you and are always willing to help and assist.

And besides lectures, we have practical classes, where we study in small groups (of 10 – 12 students each) and each group has its own instructor. For any student willing to put in the needed effort, the system of education here just comes to your aid. And with a sound knowledge of the language, you’re home and dry.

There are options to study in English, but having to study in Russian language is a great thing and it can be very helpful, so most times I advise my friends to do the same. You know the same thing in two different ways, two different languages; and you think uniquely in the two languages, simultaneously.

With your brilliant records from secondary school, why did you opt to study in Russia?

Well, back at home, there are opportunities, but the issue is how many of such are made known to everyone. I believe, besides me, there are tens of thousands of students with quite impressive high school records, but the question is how many of such students have access to scholarship offers, schooling abroad. Throughout my stay, I did not come across any offers to study in the US or the UK, and of course studying there (without some form of scholarship) can be definitely capital-intensive.

I came across a scholarship offer to Russia (IN THE DAILIES), grabbed the application form and went for the interview; and that was how it all began. As for offers to the UK and the United States, I doubt if such information would be published in the dailies, you might need to have THE so called NIGERIAN EDGE (like KNOW SOMEONE) to even get to know that. Sad though.

How would you rate medical training in Russia globally?

Medical training in Russia is at par with the rest of the world, Europe and the Americas. Besides up-to-date theoretical knowledge, Russia offers training practically. I have heard Russian doctors beat their American colleagues, when it comes to physically examining a patient. The system is awesome, it gives you everything you need; but again it boils down to individual commitments and goals.

How will you compare the medical training you got in Russia with that of medical schools in Nigeria?

The training I got here has been very multi-sided. By that I mean, there has been a decent balance between theoretical and practical knowledge. Besides that, the standard here is just what obtains in the developed world – Nothing beats that. Patient management, operational procedures, maneuvers and manipulations are carried out to world standard. Medical school here is very intensive; besides lectures, we have practical classes EVERY DAY, where you have to write and pass a test, answer oral questions, and take part in discussions and procedures, as the case may be. Haha, they even take our attendance like we are in high school, and classes missed have to re-taken.

If you have an offer to remain in Russia based on your performance will you consider it against returning home?

Hmm, tough question definitely. But really, I believe my home country needs me more than any other nation does. I would return home.

What should the government do to discourage brain drain in the medical sector in the country?

ONE thing, …just ONE thing: EQUIP our hospitals. Our clinics are 50 years behind the standards abroad; this makes my heart bleed. I almost was crying when a Nigerian medical student told me over the phone of how doctors had to use a TORCH LIGHT (a lamp) to finish an operation.

Accidents/trauma at home is like a death sentence, because the ERs (Emergency Rooms) are not EQIPPED enough to take care of these victims. I cry each time I ponder over this.

Our doctors sometimes can’t even help the patients. It can be frustrating and depressing to work in such conditions. It’s sad when you have all the knowledge, but there is nothing physically you can do. That defeats the nobility of medicine (to help the sick and take off pain/suffering) and renders it lame.

It’s sad.

You are a believer in building a positive image for Nigeria and being a worthy ambassador, how much of negative image do you and your Nigerian colleagues in Russia have to deal with?

Oh, negative image, I can write a thesis on this. Corruption, bombings, killings, scams are the bane. It’s even worse when you’re held down, delayed (and MADE TO MISS YOUR FLIGHT) at airports because you’re a Nigerian. I study in a very international environment, with students from Greece, Italy, Russia, Malaysia, Africa, India and lots of other Soviet countries; and it’s sad to know that they come to you with stories of killings and corruption in Nigeria that you do not even know.

The first thing I DID was to take it upon myself to help build a positive image for Nigeria, I placed that weight on my shoulders and I started taking steps at re-defining the image of the country I COME FROM. I saw that even more important than my academics – being a man of character and leaving a sound impression of myself, my family and my nation.

I was mindful of the things I say, do and kind of activities I was involved in. With God, I began setting a standard for them to see; and made sure I talked to my friends about Nigeria each time such issues came up. Soon enough I was made president of the AFRICAN STUDENTS ASSOCIATION in my school and served in a variety of other positions. I used that opportunity to re-present Nigeria and I must thank God for what He has done through that.

Has your excellent performance changed the negative impression?

Yes, it has. And in a long way. Now, the world is gradually coming to understand who we truly are, we just need to be more consistent and true (HONEST) to ourselves.

How affordable is University education in Russia

Compared to the United States and the rest of the world, it is pretty affordable. I MEAN YOU GET the same level of education (except in Russian language) as you get in these countries. Living in Moscow can be very expensive though.

The facilities are up to standard. Internet, water, power, transport, everything works! Everything works! And as a young student, all these lessen your problems in a huge way.

Apart from your recent accomplishments what are the other high points and low points of your studying in Russia?

HIGH POINTS:1) Leading other team of international students (Russia, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Morocco) and bagging the best captain of the year award AT THE University’s annual quiz competition on Internal Medicine.

2) Being a part of and Representing Nigeria on the University’s Hall of fame.

3) Bagging an award from the National Union of Ghanaian Students NUGS Russia and the Embassy of Ghana as International Student personality of the year 2012/13

3) Bagging awards and several honours during my Russian language study years (2006 – 2007) – took part in and won Russian language literature contests, quiz competitions in the basic sciences.

4) Leading the African Students in my University also was a great honour for me

Low points: It can be pretty unfair and sad when you get treated or judged based on the things a few Nigerians/Africans have done wrong.

You said in your valedictory speech that you hope to use your wealth of experience and knowledge to help and serve in Nigeria; do you have a particular focus in mind?

I hope to work with other foreign-medical graduates (the Russia-trained and others) and see to it that we bring our experiences abroad to bear on medical practice at home. This might involve inviting our colleagues abroad over to the country, having seminars and workshops, going for further studies, seeing to it (and with the help of the government) that our clinics are upgraded to international standards.

Personally, I am a lover of Cardiology and Cardiovascular medicine; but I have been having a growing interest in Infectious Diseases, especially Malaria. I had once talked to a friend about a possibility of having an institute of Malariology at home, a clinic ONLY for Malaria patients, with ongoing research works aimed at stopping the manace and at reducing the number of deaths and complications.

Can you elaborate on your call to your graduating colleagues that that they should not forget, as young medical professionals to be “true to our calling ; true to our patients, true to our colleagues and most importantly be true to ourselves?”

In one phrase, that means being honest and very diligent in practice.

Well, my addition to all these. I never believed in this life that the ancient city of Ibadan will ever wear this spectacles of environmental decency. I was traveling to Oyo town for a wedding from Lagos when I stumble is a traffic gridlock. I decided to go through challenge via Molete to burst out at gate. One of my siblings announced at instance "this road is unusually neat". When we all tried to confirm this her assertion, I swear we hardly see paper on the roads. On getting to Molete under bridge, the beauty of this once notorious place encircled me, all greenery and orderliness. As I tried to lay by to see the place better, a man in security uniform directed I shouldn't park, a new experience here in Ibadan where we park anywhere we care. On getting to Mapo and further to Bere, I can't help as I said "this is the dream of a great man".

On getting to Oyo town, for the first time in the history of this town, dualized roads are under construction. All I had experienced are un-Ibadan and Oyo State. I give this to Ajimobi. Truly his achievement is in confirmation of his CV.

EducationRe: Osun Distributes Free Tablet-Computers To Students by HyeBits: 8:55am On Mar 20, 2013
Okija_juju: Chai!! Nigerians are in deep trouble...

Osun state just added atleast 10million US dollars to their recurrent expenditure.

Let me explain.. So tablets were handed to students in secondary school today. We all forget that tomorrow, this set would pass out and another would come and they too will need tablets as well. That means every year, osun will fork out millions of dollars to buy them tablets. If the state is that wealthy, then no problem, but you and I know that osun is far from that.

Secondly, what's the quality of the schools in osun state? Atleast rivers state governor has built solid structures and equipped them such that will in 10years, many sets of students will meet good schools on ground, what of osun schools? Rivers state even provides books and uniforms free to students as well.

40 million dollars would have set up a good statewide I.T structure in all the schools that would have served many students for years.

Tablets are like phones. They are good but come with issues. Some will break, some will crash, some will get damaged some will get missing. What service and replacement plan was set up for these tablets if any and how accessible is it to all osun students!? Wouldn't puting 100 internet enabled computers in all schools in osun state have been cheaper!?

I love this concept on its surface value, but in the long run, sounds like penny wise, pound foolish. This feels like a white elephant programme by this government and its sustainability is in doubt. Let's not forget that these are kids and they are very likely to damage these toys and I wonder if osun government would replace them when they get damaged or lost.

Another thing is if they have adjusted the osun syllabus/curriculum to factor in these tablets. How about electricity to charge them!? Remember these are public school students and are most likely rural dwellers who we all know have minimal access to electricity, water and roads. And what about the specs of these tablets!?

A few years back, some states gave out laptops to students. How is that programme today!? Are they still giving out these laptops or was it a one time government promo.

Let face it. I'm happy for these students. Atleast even if its for just now, they all get to enjoy owning a luxury toy. However, if the schools in osun state are shiit and the quality of education rubbish, then this move is like putting fresh paint on a damaged building. You can't leap before you walk and the cost implication might cripple the state should this be sustained.

My 10cents..

#Madam Caro, abeg give me 2 shots of kinkana make I take wash eye first..
Thanks for your submission. You may not be inform that education does not end within the four walls of a classroom, it goes farther. The quality of your education defines the extent of your reasoning. The tablet "opon imo" will go along way redefining education for these sets of students. It will open a new paradigm in learning and education for these future generation. Many of these student will be influence by these infrastructure to re-engage their science scholarship and their future careers.

Many a contributors on this forum like you will only see the face value of this giant leap in learning because of the quality of education you had. Fews weeks back on this forum, a young secondary school student passed Microsoft exams and the sing-song was about the quality of exposure and tutorship this guy would have got. And today today some of you criticize what many of these students would think is the best to have happened in their education.

Let's think how the mind of these students will be engage and the interest they will give to their learning as a result of this infrastructure. All you have posited in its entirety is wrong and out of a rational inquiry.

omonnakoda: Sir I do not think you understand what you are talking about. I do not mean any offence or to be disrespectful so please do not take it like that. I suggest you try and study for about two hours what foreign reserves are. Your reference to "the money" demonstrates that clearly. Spending foreign reserves is equal to compulsory acquisition of your citizen's savings That is what I mean by plunder NOT how it is spent. The money DOES NOT BELONG TO GOVERNMENT. If you cannot grasp that there is no basis for discussion.
Brother, I guess you are confused with the economy of a nation's foreign reserve. Yes it is used to cushion the effect of likely currency suck in the international market. But when the economy is not healthy and the reserve is growing. This is a what we refer to as voodoo economy, the case in our economy today.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu - FG Practising Voodoo Economic Policy by HyeBits: 12:55pm On Mar 08, 2013
ilugunboy: Not entirely true.

Let me ask you simple question...what would happen to the economy and the Naira exchange rate if today and for the next six months the price of our main Forex earner ...Crude oil drops to say $25/barrel (God forbid you say?), you will spend that your accumulated reserve to finance the goods that you can otherwise produce in your country but presently imports and your exchange rate will shut through the roof top.

So let me tell you that it's not your accumulated Forex reserve that is presently guaranteeing your relative exchange rate stability but the continue pumping of crude at a good price.

One of the thing Ashiwaju is saying in essence is rather than put the external reserve just for the sake of saving sake..why not pump it into the real economy..that would lead to a win-win situation both for the government and the citizens.

By producing more goods within your country...you are diversifying the economy, generating more employment...reducing the pressure on your Naira..building you GDP..and making the economy overall more healthy.

That to me is what guarantees your currency strength and not just the accumulation of reserves.....reserves on it own won't be forced, it will happen naturally when you don't have the need to spend it on too much imports.
Thanks for the response, it's indeed academic. We need tell those that believe external reserve make a country great to dissuade from such a fallacy. My position reads that country reserve (external) can't be forced but grow as the economy becomes healthy. An economy can grow and at the same time unhealthy. This is the case with the current economy in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu - FG Practising Voodoo Economic Policy by HyeBits: 12:43pm On Mar 08, 2013
The strength of a Nation is defined by the strength of its economy and its soldiers, their tools and trainings. The problem with this country is a lame mind that can't stand a constructive argument on a grand rational and scientific inquiry. The bearing of people on this forum is the reflection of Nigerian society at large. Foreign Reserve as the International Investment position of Nigeria should be manage to define the economy position of our nation. What use is a father that has load of money and other reserve in bank but fail to train his children? No future for a country that grows its economy but neglect its human resources and infrastructure. My position is not no-savings economy but not any savings that put the future economy growth in jeopardy.

The idea of sending them away from a house initiated by their husband and dad isnt nice..something tells me your late brothers account might,ve been accessed by your family, what happened to his business if he had one, money in the bank and other assets??
From what the OP has reported in his narration, he does not mention sending her out, probably you are missing some part of his writeup. The issue is, if she marries another man, will she continue to leave in his brother's house? Of course NO! And what will happen to the kids?

PoliticsGovernors Dare Bombs To Attend Apc Talk In Borno by HyeBits(op): 8:46am On Mar 01, 2013
t was an exciting scene yesterday in Maiduguri, the beleaguered capital of Borno State.

Nine governors and one deputy (Zamfara’s Abubakar Aliyu) walked freely in a market waving at crowds who hailed them – apparently for their bravery and solidiarity.

Borno State is the epicentre of the Boko Haram insurgency.

The governors of the parties in the newly formed All Progressives Congress (APC) were in the city for their third meeting.

They unfolded plans to begin a national campaign for the APC to mobilise Nigerians for change. Besides, they donated N200million to the victims of the Boko Haram crisis.

The governors said they chose Maiduguri to prove a point that “there should not be a no-go area for any Nigerian leader”.

President Goodluck Jonathan has not visited Borno State since the insurgency, which has claimed several lives, began in 2009. Vice President Namadi Sambo was there recently.

The meeting climaxed with visits to the Monday Market, which is the biggest in the state capital, and the Government College , Maiduguri .

The meeting was attended by governors of Borno, Lagos , Ekiti, Nassarawa, Imo,Ogun, Osun, Edo and the deputy governor of Yobe State.

Although Zamfara State Governor missed the plenary, he was part of the visits to the market and the college.

Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, who read a communiqué after the meeting, said the meeting had demonstrated the position of APC that “there shouldn’t be a no-go-area for any leader that means well for his people.”

As the governors’ meeting was going on, there were reports of explosions in Customs and Bolori-Baga road in the city.

The communiqué read by Aregbesola said: “Rising from our meeting held in Maiduguri on 28 February 2013 and attended by the governors of Borno, Edo, Ekiti, Imo, Lagos, Nasarawa, Ogun, Osun, and Yobe and apologies from governors of Zamfara and Oyo States.

“The Forum reiterated our irrevocable commitment to the emergence of the new party, All Progressive Congress (APC). In solidarity with the Government and people of Borno and Yobe States, we are pleased to witness an upsurge of tranquility and happy that the situation has calmed down considerably in Maiduguri .

“Contrary to the image of rampant violence that has been painted to the whole world, we have discovered the people going about their businesses without let or hindrance. We wish to commend the efforts of our brother-Governors in the two (2) states (including Yobe) and the security agencies for the restoration of peace and stability.

“We also sympathise with the families of those who lost their lives and properties and wish to donate a sum of N200m to the two States Government for emergency relief and support.

“We wish to commend the Central Merger Committee of the APC on the progress so far made in the establishment of the new party, particularly the recent inauguration of three major committees on Constitutions, Manifesto and Legal/INEC Compliance.

“Finally, we wish to inform Nigerians that we shall soon embark on a National outreach and sensitisation activities and we call on all Nigerians to support our effort to rescue our country from a visionless leadership.

The governors sang solidarity songs to reaffirm their political struggles.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State explained that they were making individual contributions to help Borno and Yobe states to share in their pains and support their governments that are bearing so much burden, dealing with the crisis.

Aregbesola explained why the governors chose Maiduguri for the meeting.

He said they wanted to share in the pains of the people and prove that leadership is about courage and decisiveness.

He said: “There shouldn’t be a no-go-area for any leader that means well for his people.” Aregbesola said Maiduguri was “painted as a no-go-area, but they (the governors) have confirmed that things are different from what they are meant to look like.

Governor Rochas Okorocha praised Governor Shettima’s transformation efforts in Borno State.

What majority of the population do not know is that Evolution is kept alive not because it has a scientific worth but because it is an ideological obligation. It is simply a dogma that has corrupted scientific world which you must believe, otherwise you are ostracized and labeled as unscientific. So materialist/atheism thrive on the propaganda that atheism lead to science.

They intimidate us that deep knowledge in science will lead religious people to atheism. The simple truth is that the modern science thrive on the believe in God as it ethos.

In ancient Greek, most of the pagan philosophers defended the idea of Evolution as a dogmatic believe to deny the facts of creation. Idea of evolution in that era constitute the bedrock of pagan philosophies.

However, it is not the ancient philosophies that ignite and stimulate modern Science, but believe in God. Contrary to what Atheists make us believe to day, that creationism is unscientific.

Most of the pioneer of modern science has strong and firm believe in God. So when they study science they sought to discover universe in the light of their faith in God. And to perceive His laws and details in His creation.

Astronomers such as Copernicus, Keppler, and Galileo; the father of paleontology, Cuvier; the pioneer of botany and zoology, Linnaeus;and Isaac Newton, who is referred to as the "greatest scientist who ever lived", all studied science believing not only in the existence of God but also that the whole universe came into being as a result of His creation.

One of the founders of modern physics, German physician Max Planck of Plank Constant said: "Anybody who has been seriously engaged in scientific work of any kind realizes that over the entrance to the gates of the temple of science are written the words: Ye must have faith. It is a quality which the scientist cannot dispense with."

The atheist has put forward this deceit of "unscientific" if you see science in the light of God. The theory of evolution is the outcome of the materialist philosophy that surfaced with the reawakening of ancient materialistic philosophies and became widespread in the 19th century.

Evolution-Darwinism/Atheism is simply the reawakening of the ancient Greek pagan philosophies. They do not have any proof whatsoever which make Evolution scientific.

wiegraf: http://en.wikipedia.org/Georges_Lematre

Before you go around making claims couldn't you at least verify them? Or at least make it clear that you are a novice to the topic, or something.
From your write ups we have very little to discuss, you have no grasp of the topics, at all. The posts are for the most part complete nonsense. I'm no expert but even I can tell you're completely lost.
At least, for the sake of clarity, explain clearly what evolution has to do relativity?

Then you accuse me of making folktales huh
The reason you can't comprehend is because you are lettered but unschooled. I can lecture you with my notes on Georges Lemaitre that you cited in wikipedia, I had studied that personality but you goorgled and wikied him, an evidence of your ignorance. I never knew what to call myself if go to your link before responding to you. The Belgian Astronomer was among those who sealed your faith in absolute universe-materialist/atheist believe of old. He only did his work to corroborate the work of the Russian, Alexander Friedman, a computation that shows that the universe structure was not static and that even the tiny impulse might be sufficient to cause the whole structure to expand or contract according to Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

Your problem is that you never research but run to google and wiki to defend your religion,Atheism, with jot and titters of information. Sorry for you.

^^

Bible or other divine Scripture are not book of science. Your claims using science as yardsticks to discredit religion in 19th century when it serves you. The people of scriptures are also using the same yardstick in 20th century and now on you when science disprove your claims. Science is never divine mouthpiece. Get that, we never deligate science this authority but we are only using it as payback for you. So now you are bitter. Not about bitterness but intellectual cross-check is what we need between Theism and Atheism.

wiegraf: Einstein didn't really discover that, but wanted a static universe for philosophical reasons, yes, so he added the constant. Some catholic priest showed him the universe should have a beginning, and the fact that a man in a robe was pointing this out made him suspicious, for very good reason. Science and religion should never mix, period. But the priest was right, and the astrologer hubble showed einstein the universe was indeed expanding. So guess what Einstein did, he admitted he had been wrong, maybe even unscientific in ignoring the priest's claims (maybe unfair to the priest even), and fully accepted the priest's assertions, even calling the constant the 'biggest blunder of my life'. This is a demonstration of the scientific method at work. When you are proven wrong, you concede, alter or discard the theory, and then continue using it for the benefit of all. Regardless of creed, race, or religion.
Note though, the cosmological constant was in fact added back into the equations for general relativity, but how it works is still a mystery. It is only known that it is related to the for now exotic dark energy/matter in the universe, which account for over 90 percent of the universe's mass. Also, even without the priests involvement, it's fairly obvious this universe has a starting point, or at least resets every once in a while, for other reasons. For instance, considering entropy is irreversible, if this universe had existed forever then we wouldn't be here now, in fact there'd be nothing but chaos more or else.

Rant: the rest of this post not so relevant to the cosmological constant
Some eediots actually consider the scientific method dogmatic. Others demand that their texts written in antiquity (like say 1400 years ago by some probably schizophrenic dude in a cave) are divinely inspired, absolute truths, so they cannot be changed. Said texts are shown to be wrong and widely inaccurate all the time, they also have absolutely no evidence to back up their claims of divinity or whatever, yet these people demand the rest of us take them seriously. Luckily we have rights, scientists can tell these eediots to stfu and stay out of their way while they continue to build the nice things said eediots will use to enrichen their lives. Unless, of course, one of them actually brings up good scientific evidence to back up his claim, like your priest.

What in the world does relativity have to do with evolution, or 'darwinism'?

I'm not even sure what to make of your posts, troll or no? What in the world are you on about?
There is more, but I'm sort of busy atm, I'll leave it here, for now.
Ok brother, to set it all right. Through Einstein experiment with the Special Relativity which applied to special case of inertia reference frame, he had undoubtedly found out against the claim that time was absolute which defeat Atheism that he had sympathy. Kindly don't turn this discuss to a folktale, no man in robe told Einstein no story. He simply fell for erroneous believe of materialism/atheism. Edwin Hubble discovery in Mount Wilson was a great blow to Atheism/materialist. But why did front line materialist/atheist like Hawkins fought back with concept of Imaginary Time, Oscillating Model, Quantum Model of Universe and their likes? They did this simply to defeat the concept of Creation if you never know.

Again, concerning the cosmological constant re-introduction there is no mystery how it works. It was just not done in the concept the Einstein erroneously did to suggest static universe but to affirm cosmic acceleration which is found in Dark Matter negative pressure relative homogeneous distribution in space.

Before 20th century it has been your believe that universe has no beginning and your stand has been to discredit the teaching in bible to race people to atheism. But when you are beaten you quickly come up with points that discredit your believe to corroborate it. Atheists be sincere once. Why did you propagate Darwinism to make it seemed scientific, just to antagonize atheism. Your education and intellect is what really need call into question.

At instance you use science to discredit religion but when the ball is out of your court you claim science and religion can't meet, what an hypocrisy.

I'm surprised you ask what relativity has to do with Evolution. For your enlightenment, Relativity said universe in not by accident while Evolution read Universe is product of accident(Atheism believe).

If my writeup caused you to reply as such, then we have much more to discuss. Come up with your facts that there is no hand of divinity is cosmic and lets proof and disprove one another points to drive points home.
