Excerpt from One Man, One Matchet:

" You read the same books. But you confuse us who are not educated. You tell us different things. Yet you read the same books. Why then do you read different things from the same books?"

Please say that again. Again please. US invading China, India, Russia, North Korea. That is a journey of no return to US hegemony around the world. Some people don't even understand the world politics and power tussles. Can US face the remnant of Soviet. You will never see united attached to U-SA againd. Let's thing with facts and constructively.

What about our history in African. They had succeeded re-writing our history. Some of their scholar did claimed that African has no history, imagine this. These are the people that we want to to trust for our destiny. If a people history is re-writen, tell me where is their heritage. Thank to African scholars like Professor Emeritus Ade Ajaye of blessed memory and others. Shame on us if at this century that suppose to be a century of liberation, we are still in the shackle of ignorance.

@Roland17

Don't mind our people. We so much belittle our persons in this fierce competing world, the reason we are still in this state. If Bush were African leader, he would have been made to face war crime. For a war that was wage on deceit, a war that killed over 500,000 children in Iraq both directly and indirectly. Well, If you want to keep a thing for Africa forever, hide it in the library. This is Africa my brother.

Africans, where is our future? Why will history not repeat itself, as we fail to learn from pattern in history? Can someone tell me. Is democracy the best system of government? What is Government? How is Governance entrenched? Is this how Africa, a continent encircle with abundance of riches in resources will ever lived? Who says WEST is not the EVIL in our mist? No! No! No! Not WEST, but other regions of the world cause the economic thunderbolt the world is ridden. WEST has ever been reckless. Who will like to tell the tale that concoct the World Wars? Is it not the recklessNESS of this so called WEST? Just like the world Wars, I believe a similar unnoticed event of such will trigger another great war. Soonest, the bubble will burst and will really do. The WEST can't be trusted with this great heritage from God, call our Earth. They have so much corrupt it. With arrogance and uncouth recklessness. Let's turn pages of book to unravel the events that have shaped this world and see the effect of the WEST arrogance at play again.
May be I read too much, but I have the believe that the treasures of this our world are found in books. These leaders of the so-called WEST are as worse as Gaddafi. Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi, REST IN PEACE, you are a true leader of Africa. I salute your bravery and rare valour. You are true to your words, Gaddafi: I WILL FIGHT TO THE LAST DROP OF MY BLOOD, AND WILL NEVER LEAVE THE LIBYA THAT I BUILD.

SIX LEADERS OF BLACK AFRICA by Time Magazine US

Chief Obafemi Awolowo, 49, of the powerful Yoruba tribe, dedicated, teetotaling Prime Minister of the Western Region of Nigeria who began as a barrister, has gradually emerged as a statesman of integrity in a land where charges of corruption are the political order of the day. His fellow Prime Minister to the more populous but primitive north, the Sardauna of Sokoto, is a haughty Moslem nobleman out of another century. Nigeria's other regional Prime Minister, the demagogic, U.S.-educated Nnamdi ["Zik"] Azikiwe of the Ibo tribe to the east, lives under a cloud as a result of a financial scandal in his administration. So rent by divisions (250 tribes speaking 400 languages), Nigeria has a compromise federal Prime Minister, Abubakar Balewa, a northerner. "To many of us," says Awolowo, "Britain is our second home. We have thrown no stones, fired no shot, and we have not shed a drop of British blood. We are attaining independence by peaceful, orderly and democratic methods."

anonimi,

Thank you folks. We all agitate for Nigeria as we see it in our dream world. The truth needs to be told here. Initially what was the economic outlook when Jakande was at the helm, what was the exchange rate, how was the civil service, unemployment rate, rural-urban drift, the political institution and last but not the list, Lagos State population?

Let's compare all these factors to what obtain at the present. We see a staggering difference, even in our social system. This is the reality of the present, a reality at hand. Fashola government is never in-light of Jakande's owing to all these. We need do the scrutiny as Nigeria has tarry a long poor arduous journey of SORRY state.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Commissions 72 Units Of 3 Bedroom Flats by HyeBits: 5:51pm On Oct 14, 2011
So what we are advocating is that Lagos State should spend what she does not have. The foundation of socio-economic strata of this country is ruptured. We have all sacrificed in one way or the other. If Lagos State continues to make provision as we expected it should for the lower to very low income earners. Then, two things will happen: 1) Lagos State will go bankrupt, or 2) Very low standard housing will be provided for the low/very low income earners.

With this informed, Lagos needs to build house for the rich and super rich and get the proceeds to advance worthy housing for the low/very low income class of people. This is the simple economics and reasoning I know. This is the common sense that build those envious economy we see across the globe today.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Commissions 72 Units Of 3 Bedroom Flats by HyeBits: 5:39pm On Oct 14, 2011
anonimi,
What majority of you don't have is the ability to reason critically. In economic and social sense, not all could afford the same style of life. The estate I live at present was built by Jakande and I bought the property for 8M. So, tell me what is the population of Lagos residence that can afford the same property at present. Mind you, taking the current population of Lagos as seed in your argument.

Why discuss Ibos all of the time and why not in some of the time? Why waste time on Ibos? Their hallmark is short-everything. All backdoor in the name of quick money. They will never change, the reason we should never discuss people culture as this is next to Ibos culture.

EducationRe: If U Had A Chance, To Punish Ur Past Sec School Teacher? Who And Why? by HyeBits: 1:40pm On Jun 22, 2011
You have never seen a witch of a teacher. It's about my chemistry teacher. She teaches all classes by dictation and wonder how a woman can beat so expertly as she did. Twenty (20) minutes before the class after her usual dictation, she will start this eloquent abuse that makes us felt we are nothing and will never achieve in this life. Having her the first period is  feet-dragged day festival for us all, and you dare not attend the class. When I got the highest mark in her class, I came to her notice as I was known as the quiet type. Since then she will come to class to abuse and threathen my ability.  Whenever I remember this treatment I wonder how many would-be great leaders and achiever are disadvantaged because of teacher like this.I felt hate for her, I thank God today that people like her made my passing through Nigerian premier university possible. So what can we do to them, after all, we are happy, getting happy or happier for that today.

RomanceRe: She's A Good Girl And Pregnant For Me, But I Dont Love Her! by HyeBits: 1:40pm On Jun 20, 2011
Tell your friend that future is not today, but the time he looks back to evaluate how far it has been. Upright mother will definitely give you a family you will treasure for life and this will be your rallying point when your back is hardened. The problem with your friend is this, for having acknowledge she is a wife material, he has told himself the truth. Your friend should look inward, trying to carve his niche in what is at hand, those he looks outward are cosmetic mothers believe me. At the passage of time love fades and mature to look inward, the earlier he looks inward the better.
