The market appears to be on an upside down spin. Amazing!
Good entry price opportunities is being created though, but peoples portfolios is burning up. Smh.. better to be out if you can and be on stand by.

FO q2 not so bad a result. 93% increase in Pat. EPs 1.54
There Q2 2018 PAT compared to Q2 2017 actually recorded a decrease by more than 60%, that PAT is because of the income from divestment from their Ghana operations. Result not good.
They only recorded positive increase in turnover compared to 2017 Q2. I sold off last week @N24:40. Am fully out of the market. The market is presently scary.

The Oga, that @DaV8King referenced and bolded in his post up there, operates a Jegede management style.

Please me I don't know o, I dey ask.

Is it only in Nigeria that such badly capitalized and managed companies are allowed to continue running? While they use credit as a lifeblood .....
The Hugh credit they take from banks to run those businesses as a lifeblood like you said, in most cases are usually in cohort with those bank management, who will then write off those huge loans as bad debts.
Have you ever wondered why some banks will still grant heavy loans to businesses in shambles with obvious bad management issues? And our institutions that are suppose to checkmate or rather prevent such happenings just watch, or better still look away?
Yeah, your guess is as good as mine!

Why will anyone like to tie down his/her hard earned money on HOPE? There are many stocks on the ground calling on investors to come and buy. Zenith Bank, UBA, Access, and many more. Why will I look at a stock like this? That they are not fair in their IPO price means a lot to me. See the debts too. I will not recommend it to any one.
Yeah, never invest your hard earned money on hope! You are right.
We will just wait and watch to see how low the price gets by next year.

My dear when I hear;
-gas and electricity; transcorp jumps to my mind
- logistic services to oil and gas; Japaul jumps to my mind
- jetty, berth and vessels; caverton jumps to mind
- Fertiliser; livestock feeds jumps to my mind

Does it mean NOTORE should be selling at those price ranges?
If only they can take a cue from those companies you mentioned as to how bad they have fared, and then learn, and also try to put the growth of the company first, maybe there will be hope.
Oh well, wishful thinking maybe!

Why do I get the feeling that this is another Oando in making? The MD was lying that the company made N8b profit in its latest report. The profit was made possible by the magic of N10b deferred taxation write back. Same way Oando has been deceiving that they are now back in profit. In my view the stock is not even worth N5.
To me, the company actually have huge potential for growth with a promising development in the agro-allied and petrochemical business if only they can shelve the Nigerian styled management factor. They are into fertilizer, they have huge access to gas, they even produce electricity, they have an arm that provides Logistic services to oil and gas companies, they even have privately owned jetty with berth capacity of about 20,000mt vessels that will guarantee easy export of any of their manufactured products. It is huge sha if they don't put themselves first before the company.
As for the listing price, i agree with you, too much, but not N5 cheesy.

Jimoh Ibrahim to List Bank Shares on Stock Exchange
https://www.businesspost.ng/2018/08/01/jimoh-ibrahim-to-list-bank-shares-on-stock-exchange/
Jimoh's management style is similar to Jegede's. He acquired some well managed businesses during OBJ govt, those businesses now are nothing to write home about - Nicon Insurance, Nicon Luxury Hotel formerly Le Meridien hotel Abuja ( that had even better standard than Abuja Sheraton be4) etc. I wonder why he is heading to another country where he may not be well known to source for fund through IPO for his Bank.

I appreciate. please can u kindly help me with the brokers here. Thanks
Greenwich Trust was formally Union Registrars, and their Stockbroking arm is not bad but they have a lot of old retirees as clients and may not be proactive. I went to their office sometime back for my Julius Berger unpaid warrants. So I would suggest registering with one of those mentioned.

I saw that divestment income, their Q2 profit dropped so much. Maybe i should watch it to end of the week. The volume today was very high though.

My sister, for the upteenth time, I do not see any green light in that Diamond. I have said the same thing even when opportunity exist for people inside Diamond to sell at 150k. Do not wait to sell at 80k, except you can wait till another bull time comes around, of which nobody knows.

My opinion please.
Agbalowomeri:
They are long-termers grin
Got out of Fide, Diamond & DF. I would rather hold on to cash and wait for better bargains, maybe that bonanza. But people that bought N2:50k above may find it difficult to bail out now.
FO I entered yesterday @ N23 i will disembark tomorrow cos of the fair price CP mentioned, thanks.

In this our nse, we have to accept that ANYTHING is possible; nobody would think FO would sell below 30 but it is there o even with plenty profit sef

My first target sef na GTB at 18; na only if I no fit get this one I go begin look Zenith face whether I go get am for 13. Person go first make more than 50% here before the likes of dem car-park banking stocks go take off
Na so Oga Agba, in NSE, the more you look the less you see. Company with good results are been punished with no explanation eg Zenith.
Am not understanding again! And you cannot even argue against somebody waiting for grave robber price anymore becos you go dey look when the price will get to their junction like play like play.

One thing I know is anyone waiting to buy either Diamond, Sterling, Fcmb, Fidelity below N1 that person would wait forever. Might as well wait until after elections to enter the market. Below N1 will not happen even if they declare loss in Q2.
MY bros, don't be too certain, they were there last year, Diamond is inching downwards and if they declare loss in Q2, one or two of them might sell below N1 before election.
Am in 2 of those mentioned sha, i pray their Q2 result is ok especially Fide & Diamond.

No mind some of us way dey bank on hope sometimes. Anyway, we continue to learn.

Are you inside the bus? If you are inside first thing tomorrow try to bail out, because market will react negatively towards their q2 result.

I was the one that started advertising and promoting Dangoteflour when they started performing, before they over speed and pass their fair junction after they sell out their noodle subsidiary, with inclusion of the proceeds from the sale, their EPS moved times two of the expected result, and their price went more than times two of their expected fair price.

But now, they will still revise back to their fair price. I believed #5/#6 is not bad.
cool cool cool
I need to pack whatever is left of my kaya tomorrow morning if there won't be stampede at exit door, and buy interim paying stock to cushion the woundjurement. I was hoping their Q2 result would be better.

You are the one that keep digging up my posts and quoting me, and when i reply, you complain and throw insults. Anyone that is not into your game you fight, you were once Mercilicious and when people back then viciously attacked you for your foul attitude and character, you went away and came back with a changed moniker, hoping you will change? no, Leopard can not change its spot, that same attitude and character still seeps through the new handle.
Everyone had moved on and people are back to analyzing companies results that is coming out but you, no, you have to wake up at 5am to dig up posts to continue trouble.
