Happy Sunday everyone! Oga Agba, Happy New Year Sir, long time. I wish to thank all the selfless contributors to this Forum. |
Facts are real. Our signature posts says it all! Different and many people have had issues with trolls here. I already said I wasn't gonna derail, I won't. |
Chibuking81:OK, many thanks. |
Chibuking81:@Chibuking81, can someone start picking up some stocks that are relatively cheap now? or to still wait. |
swilo: Happy Sunday @swilo!Don't mind @mendes, and i don't care if he is playing, he is a regular at trolling. I have nothing but love for him though. |
mendes911:Bored? no @mendes am not, my life is full and am busy. l have no time to look for roforofo wit any faceless person behind the keyboards who deliberately targets people for no reason. People make jokes here, criticise opinions/views but do not purposely pick on anyone for no reason. Pages have been filled here with off topics playfulness, and no one begrudge, then they see a post or two that is even on topic and they come out! This Forum is full of lots of respectable people who come to selflessly & freely share their knowledge and experiences (God bless them) on stock trading and matters around it/related to it, which is the essence of the platform, so am not gonna derail the thread by engaging in any unnecessary exchanges, I will just ignore! |
Infinitisi:Thanks, and also to @Godlylifeoneart for opening this portal of idea of learning how to venture into other markets. I will explore this to learn more. |
hmmmmm interesting that @Godlylifeoneart have never been attacked by the trolls for his views & posts as regards state of affairs of our economy & NSE which by the way i totally agree with. The play out when they are in one of their trolling sessions/gossips is always entertaining & fascinating to watch by the way! |
dipoolowoo:Things are looking even better for C&L, the news is positive and hopefully reflect in the numbers soon, Q3 maybe, too early? anyhow, potentials for another good round trip is up here! |
dipoolowoo:Interesting! Almost as if it was necessary to put that out there so as to pacify people affected by the takeover charade. The investigation & or trial seem vague as there is no time frame. Hoping for the best anyhow. |

tritritri:Don't think you will succeed. Look at his post up there saying you should go to a brewery! lol |
Agbalowomeri:Funny. Somebody just ask me now why i laugh looking at my phone. tritritri why is your gender now female abeg? |
wanaj0:But oga, is a relevant regulatory body not suppose to call into question the corporate governance of a publicly quoted company that continue to report decline or abysmal financial state of its affairs including huge debts, eg Japaul, Oando, investigate, and if found wanting take actions by either suspending its board, CEOs, or better still, trading of the shares in the floor pending improvement in the state of that company's affairs? to protect potential investors from buying even though they too need to be cautious too. Is that not part of its function as a regulatory body eg SEC? |
For over 2yrs now l have learnt not to hold any shares for more than 7mths maximum, except for some i deliberately left in my portfolio which even yield dividend. I sell at price appreciation, or sometimes at lose if i become unease with my purchase, and then on to the next one. One have learnt to avoid holding on to empty can while its content is all gone! If the signs are all there it is better to cut your losses while you still can. Imagine from when I sold my Diamond and now, it has lost almost 50k, when the warning kept coming that the price was still going south i had to sell. |
Mpeace:Bad management or mismanagement of publicly quoted companies don't get consequences, no threat to their jobs or future jobs, no fear of persecution. And also why do the regulatory authorities stand by with all the red flags and watch companies ground to a halt or get to a dire state be4 coming up with reforms for implementation when in fact the minority shareholders are the ones that always end up being at the receiving end! |
gamaliel9:"my people are living in a trance world" according to 2face Idibia. Minority shareholders just fold hands and watch! Not a pleasant situation we are in, in this country where all regulatory institutions are either Lame duck, or rather, feed their own selfish collective interests! My heart goes to everyone that bought into the shares. I pray for there to be a conversion to the now 'new bank' shares , as it was from Oceanic bank shares converted to Ecobank. At least then not everything will be lost. |
. |
Happy B.day @dipoolowoo, wishing u many more years! |
4601CE:You better resist the temptation of 'gambling' with someone else's money if its not your own be4 you get trapped!! It is gamble nah abi? since the market is generally bearish at the moment. Oh well, its your decision Sir. |
stcool:Exactly in my last post when I said if things are allowed to run as its suppose to and no cutting of corners, all this hide & seek of trying to avoid paying tax as at when it is due will not occur. Now becos all those accumulated unpaid taxes have now been lumped together to create this unbelievable sum Mtn will now cry foul thereby giving potential investors the perceptions that the country is a difficult place to do business when the fact is maybe it is these foreigners in conniver to cut corners surcharge us. Lots of foreign investors have given us this kind of bad raps before on how corruption & abuse of power creates uncertainty and hinders growth of businesses in ninja #RichardBranson etc. MTN won't leave though cos more than 25% of all of their returns comes from here. #Ninja is a cash cow business destination for those that knows how to navigate! |
BullBearMkt:How clear and precise for whoever required this advise/opinion. Well done Sir BBM. #don'thavethem. |
moneywoman74:Did you try: 01-2714567 (used to get them on this one), 01-2714566. |
https://www.yahoo.com/news/mtn-affair-casts-shadow-over-nigeria-economy-analysts-044145983.html One of the comments on this article was: Corruption, no rule of law, no justice- who would want to do business there? If people in power allows transactions to run legally with all protocols observed, potential investors won't get bad rap/perception about our dear country. Enough said jor! |

Agbalowomeri: how you take know you be winch? ![]() |
^^^ All these still boils down to the Regulators. Who checks these activities? who stands to gain from these actions? I believe until there are collective voices of people opposed to all of these fraudulent actions being perpetrated, it will continue. The people put in places to operate the system are soiled! We live in a society where the people hardly pay attention to what is going on around them as long as they can get 'small' for themselves, these people know this, and they are taking advantage of this "i don't care" attitude. It is well! |
stcool:I believe it may still touch down to N1 - 90K range, and then a bounce, which is inevitable. The negative news coming out around its management activities right now is no good. |
currentprice:Oh.. ok, now i see. I actually thought Dominique was a 'code word' for something, and that i fell for a joke @nobodyknows pulled on me .Silly me . |
^^ I didn't see no Dominique. |
