The newly-inaugurated governor of Imo state, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has ordered an investigation into the administrations of three former governors of the state.

They are Ikedi Ohakim, Rochas Okorocha and and his immediate-predecessor, Emeka Ihedioha. Uzodinma gave the order in his inaugural speech immediately he was sworn-in.

He also ordered the Accountant General of the state to forward to him within four days from Wednesday, a comprehensive financial status of the state from May 29, 2010, till date.

He also ordered all Permanent Secretaries of all the ministries in the state to within the same period forward to him the status of all the contracts awarded and the immediate stoppage of payment of all ongoing contracts in the state.

He said that his administration was anchored on rehabilitation, reconstruction and recovery. While stating that he had forgiven those he said conspired to “rob me of hard-earned victory”, Uzodinma said that he will revive the state and make it work again. He said that the judiciary demonstrated huge bravery by declaring him the duly elected governor of the state.

If someone feels that Ebonyi is not Igbo,
Remind the person that every state cannot be igbo. If Ebonyi decide to stay on their own and promote their identify maybe Independence since u are rejecting them.

The state is putting on a new look.

Okigwe is IMO state second most urbanized settlement but I can tell you that am not happy with the level of development in okigwe.... More like accident abandoned city.
Afikpo is Ebonyi second City....way too far above okigwe

I didn't ask you all those gibberish. But if I must advise ebonyi people, they should focus on education and human capital development first before anything else.

Educationally, ebonyi is ranked alongside Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Yobe ,etc. This is not a good rating at all.

Human capital development: ebonyi is among , if not the state with the lowest GDP in Nigeria. Ebonyi is among the few states with the lowest educated human capitals in Nigeria. The implication is that ebonyi people are among the poorest in Nigeria and sub saharan Africa.

In a nutshell: Education and human capital development is what ebonyi needs and not some buildings that will turn to house lizards in future because there are no educated population nor human capital to drive the future of the state.

90% of all the hawkers across Nigerian major cities of Lagos, Abuja, PH, Onitsha, Kano, etc, are all ebonyi people, also 80% of all okada riders at least in SE are Ebonyi. We are talking of the people that dominate the business. This is a statement of fact.

The truth you have to face always is that Ebonyi people are inferior igbos, they are at the same level educationally with states like Zamfara, Yobe etc

In terms of human capital, Ebonyi people are among the poorest in Nigeria. Aboki and Ebonyi people are of the same class. That is just the truth.

That you managed to get western education, you could even be the only one in your whole community with such knowledge.

Ebonyi should focus more on education and human capital development.
