You should check the young man's profile picture, that will give you a little insight. It baffles me that Atheists(I heard Seun's one too) could even be poor, I for one would have been as rich as Dangote was at my age given my intelligence.

Today I made arrangement with the company that will handle my shipping/courier.

I am expected to deposit 25k with them from which they will be deducting shipping fees from.

That shouldn't be a problem since buyers will bear the shipping cost when they order. They have a base in every capital of the country and my current location suits me pretty well as their office isn't too far from me.

I am also paying 131k for a set of products. Bringing my total initial cost to 156k.

However, people can start with 67k.

In this business, I do not hope to touch my profit.

The idea is to use compound interest to double my investment and since I will be starting at 131k, I need just 5 steps to reach 1M. There may be some ups and downs but that's not uncommon.

I sympathise with your situation. You have to make a promise to yourself now. The promise is that you will train your children to be more equipped, more prepared and more successful than you are. By training I mean giving them curricular training (academic) as well artisan training (trade) so if this cycle were ever to repeat they would not be frustrated and in a vulnerable position. Our parents did not do that for us, otherwise most of us will not complain of no income if a professional job terminate us....we just switch to the trade career.

Have patience and find anything, however minimal in income until something more meaningful come along.

I don't know the profession most people here have but I don't also think the years of experience garnered is a waste. Those knowledge can be transformed into something worthwhile.

Has anyone here tried to see if there is any company they could freelance for with knowledge and experience they have? For most companies now... freelancing offers them cheaper options for skills not readily available within their employ.

Please, there is a way out.

Most of us don't even know the power of the internet and how to use it to enrich ourselves. Do a google search around your expertise and see if there is a need for it at freelance sites.

Don't just discard what I have just said please... I am someone who always believe there is a way.
