Annalise: I wouldn't model a blog after naij.com because they rely too much on click baits. Follow this link, read the comments and see what I mean https://www.naij.com/950510-shocking-lady-died-sleeping-alhaji-monkey-n840000-photo.html What I would do is either start to mingle with celebrities and politicians aides. Or you employ people who do. Then find your own way to make the news interesting. You should visit top blogs outside Nigeria like Marshable, Huffington post, Perez Hilton, even our very own Sahara Reporters is cool. Get some inspiration, post frequently + heavy social media presence. Nope, I am not modelling after Naij. I included it just in case you wanna say it is too competitive.. What I seem to have understood is that you have to be in the EYES of the people. For instance, OMGVoice.com started in 2015 BUT go see what they have done and achieved as well. I am taking notes of how the Nigerian ecosystem for these things work, not the ones you have referred me to. Another thing I have noticed is that majority of them tend to relax after reaching their picks. LindaIkeji has been over taken by Nairaland, Naija Loaded does not do more publicity anymore and a host of others. I will be using Naija Loaded as a reference point as well. I should hit some solid milestone within 1 year. P.S: Naij is a bloody copy and past portal. What they did was just to spread, gain recognition and relaxed. OMGVoice is currently doing same right now and I am sure after 1 year, they will relax! |

Annalise: You can. But your blog will just be mediocre. And to be honest, it won't stand the test of time. The average Nigerian is much more exposed and know how to navigate their way around these obvious places you copy from. What will draw traffic to your site? You will have to use click bait links and Nigerians are fast outgrowing that. Another thing that can draw traffic is the comments. But it will be difficult to get intelligible comments when you copy paste.
Linda Ikeji is a copy paster but she started very early and that was how she was able to get a large share of visitor traffic. When she started blogging, many Nigerians were not visiting websites she copied from like dailymail, mediatakeout, etc. In addition to that, she was a model and has very close friends in the Entertainment industry. If you want to be a guru and establish financial security for you and generations after you, you have to be ingenious by reporting on exclusives like Stella Dimoko and LoveBScott. This can only be done if you go out and mingle where celebrities are. You can start by being friends with their friends, make up artists and publicists etc. Most recent naija bloggers are just in it for adsense. Quote me anywhere, in 3 years, you will be back to ground zero if you don't reinvent yourselves. Impressive... So how can one build traffic in the news/entertainment niche in present day Nigeria? Naij.com is less than 3 years old. I will love to hear your views |

mytshirtriches: I have hit over 3000 page views last night. I couldn't post the stats because I was quite tired. I will do that later today.
I have decided to apply for adsense. I am currently waiting for approval. I did it because there isn't any harm in trying.
If I get approved, it will be an added advantage and will speed up the this cause.
I ill be with you guys later. mind to help with ways you pull this traffic? You mentioned a video. Please may I have a access to it? Thanks. |

bellong: I have a shipping company that handles both the inland and ocean shipping.
It is not only about being cheap but buying with confidence. You have the detailed history of the vehicle you are purchasing. Most of the cars in Cotonou are salvage/lemon cars repaired by those importers. That is why you can get it cheaper. Some are not repaired well which creates constant issues for the innocent buyers.
I have never had issue with any of the cars bought and I really do get good deals. hmmm... interesting to know. Thanks so much! |

bellong: There are several factors to consider in choosing a good dealer, the reviews is only one of them.
However, the reviews serve as an indication of the type of dealer you want to deal with. I understand some dealers pay people to review them but you can easily identify those paid to make a review. In addition, a dealer with hundreds of review show that it is real.
Then the website with detailed information and also better business bureau registration are other things you check.
In addition, I check the detailed history of the car I want, most have information of the current dealer who put it for sale. Most times, I prefer buying from big dealers than car sellers.
For payment, you can suggest payment by PayPal, some accept it but I have only used PayPal to pay once. I use telegraphic transfer and I have never been scammed.
I talk to dealers on phone before closing a deal as I get to ask many questions. The aftermath of the discussion always determines my decision. WOW... Thanks so much. I do find it awkward though... I mean just send money like that with no middle body to ensure nothing goes wrong. But I get your point all the same. You also pay the seller shipping money to help you ship the car, right or do you have another different entity that handles that? In your experience, does doing it yourself makes the whole process cheaper? I guess so but when compared to cars coming into or from Cotonou, which is cheaper or are they same prices as those sold at Cotonou ? Thanks for taking your time out to explain this process. |

bellong: I have not bought from Japan before so I can't say which is cheaper. how do you avoid being scammed on cars.com? Are there any security measures in place or you just your decisions on the reviews you read? If yes, don't people buyer reviews to influence decisions these days? What about a form Escrow payment to help secure buyer and seller, anyone available? |

The above proverb summarizes what I will like to say about the south westerners It means cowardice however you chose to look at it. Are you a lion in the first place or human being a more advanced brain and mind that the lion? I could understand if you call yourself an animal, thus your tolerance level. Pathetic lot |

2saints: Dear OP, I'm not sorry for you at all, cos you're refusing to let her go say you love her. And your forgetting love is a two way thing. Your own case is even small compared to mine. I travelled interstate to see the bit-ch and was forming the way u are now that I won't touch her virginity till marriage night, after all the hot romance I carry my full balls back home. Just a phone quarrel o, and we dint talk for 2 weeks, the bit-ch slept with another guy within that time. When she visited me and told me she was no longer a virgin and I checked to confirm it, there and then my d**k soften. I simply told her to put on her cloths and leave. She begged and cried, even offered me sex and tried to wake my dude, but minds made up. I helped her put on her cloth, took her out, called a bike, paid for it and watched her cry as she left. Months later she called and told me she will forever respect me and she wished things were different. Told her such is life. You might think I'm being cold, but I was only doing her a favour, cos the love was not there anymore. I feel your pain though, cos u will forever remember how you're not the one that open that hole, how another guy just come chop ur hustle. My advice, no deceive yourself to call love into this matter. Love is long gone the day you called for a break. Too many Americans movies shar... Just put her on a bike and let her go. Be a man that you are, and ladies will respect you. I have a gf now, and I dint make same mistake, she is looking forward and begging me to come see her soon. It's safer to love a girl that loves you more. DAMN... You strong o. |

Philipsdael: The thing now is that she is acting suspicious to you because you don't trust her anymore. Even if u decide to bang her and she start being faithful to you, you will still be having doubt of her fidelity because that hymen u savour to break has been broken by a "Bad Sharp Guy" in less than a month..... the scar will forever be in your mind whenever you remember her sex life.....and will always threaten your trust on her. A relationship built without trust is bound to smack Zuma rock real hard.... hehehehe. Guy, forget all u dey talk say u save her for marriage. walahi u f up. even if na once in a blue moon u dey sex her, e for better pass u leave her. una be Reverend father n sister ?...even some of the aforementioned sef dey straff for out side wella. Guy, just move on but it seems like you too, you're stuck .... I pity your condition shaa. it can really be worrisome. Story of my life brother. I had been in the OP's shoes years ago bro. |
