We fall down. Everyone have got dark times. The beauty of falling is that you become wiser when you rise.

However, many people have refused to rise up because they've fallen too many times. When you fall and remain on the ground, you've failed! Nobody want to associate himself with a failure. I don't! Have you ever listened to a failure, every of his statement is guarded with excuses, they bring down your charisma and a dialogue with them is discouraging and boring.

But a success and a wise person is someone who makes to get up no matter how many times he falls. What makes a success' story intriguing is the "falling aspect". That's the encouraging part.

I enjoy listening to rich men who made it. The sentence I felt challenged by mostly is "I suffered." that reminds me that suffering is a good teacher that prepares you for the future.

Three key points

1. Listen to a failure that you may know where he missed it (believe me, he'd give you enough reasons) and listen to a success that you may be motivated knowing that if he could do it, you can do better.

2. Avoid pity:

I hate pity, one of the words I hate most is "sorry". (This is different from an apology). Avoid any kind of pity even self pity. Pity kills your self esteem. It makes you feel like you've done well even when you haven't started. It makes you think that it's over even before it begins. It makes you forget the reward that lies ahead and focus on the loss of the past and sorrow of the present. So stop people from telling you "sorry".

3. Learn from the frog:
Yes, the frog is arguably the most determined animal. Though it's harmless, weak, without friends or family accompanying it as it walk on the earth, it always achieve its goal or die trying. Have you ever seen a frog turn back? The frog never turns back. Even if it sees water ahead of it, it swims through the water.
I once did an experiment to confirm this, I had hit a frog going a particular direction, the frog was weak and was there for sometime. I watched it closely. After it has regained its strength, it continued in that same direction.
Me hitting the frog can me termed as storm of life. The frog being weak can be termed as falling. But because the frog is determined for success, it continued his journey to success. It didn't go back or go another way.

Conclusion: don't give up, don't look back as long as your conscience judge what you are doing to be right and let Jesus Christ be in every decision you make. Before embarking on anything, invite Jesus.
If you want to be successful without stains of blood on your hands, you must walk with Jesus.

Have you ever sat down to watch a match in the Nigerian Premier League? Well if you haven't, I suggest you should try it if you want to get bored. The game structure is a one sided thing where only the team at home wins. It is very rare for an away team to win in the Nigerian Premier League and this compelled me to do some research on the issue.
I had the opportunity to speak with some referees, who officiate in the Nigerian Premier League and the stories they told me were the same sadden story. According to one of them (name withheld), they are bribed before almost every match so they (the referees) should support them during the match. Some of the referees are disciplined that they do not take bribe but most of them succumb to the pressure and even the christian referees compromise their faith.
The bribe according to the referees amount up to NGN500000 depending on the importance of the match.
On the issue of the home team always winning, I was in dilemma and needed information to help me with it so I had to ask different referees why it is so, because I see no reason, why a team will always win at home and rarely or never win away. I was therefore enlightened that, they (the referees) are threatened before the match by fans or even officials. One of them told me that he once was officiating a match in the northern part (club withheld), and one of the fans said, "Oga if these people win eh, your head don comot", and because of that, he was not settled through out the match and was forced to support the home team.
After examining all these, it all made sense to me. The best teams are shown in a neutral match (no home or away). Furthermore, to prove my points, I implore you to have a look at the Nigerian Premier League table. Even the team at the bottom rarely loses at home. This is probably because, they are not so financially buoyant to bribe referees.

French President, Francois Hollande has declared a state of Emergency in Nice, France as 77 were killed by a truck crashing into Bastille Day crowd.

Hollande says the state of emergency that was due to end on July 26th has been extended by three months. The French president said the "terrorist nature" of Nice attack was "undeniable".


Addressing the nation, he acknowledged that 77 people has been killed, including children.

“We have seen extreme violence and it's obvious we must do everything to fight this terrorism”.

The president has vowed to strengthen his country's role in the fight against the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria after a deadly attack on Nice, which has not been claimed by any group.

"Nothing will make us yield in our will to fight terrorism. We will further strengthen our actions in Iraq and in Syria. We will continue striking those who attack us on our own soil," he said, in reference to the Islamic State group.

He also said he had called on reservists to boost the ranks of police and gendarmes. France's "operational reservists" include French citizens with or without military experience as well as former soldiers. Mr Hollande said they would in particular be used to boost "border controls".

Few days ago, there was a banter between some of my friends and me. We started off by talking about football, at this point, there was no brouhaha. After few minutes of random interlocution, the table talk diverted into football, the Nigerian professional football league precisely, and suddenly we started talking about Nigeria as a nation. Immediately, the discussion metamorphosed into a bitter argument as everyone was rendering lamentation. It probably started when I commented that Nigeria remains the best country in the World and that her citizens should be proud that they are Nigerians.
Immediately after making that comment, one of them who graduated from the University of Benin with a second class lower lashed out at me, lamenting his joblessness even after rounding up with his NYSC. According to him, he still lives under his parent’s roofs and has to do odd jobs in order to fend for himself so as not to get embarrassed by his parents and siblings. He said, he has given up the search for white-collar job since none of them has yielded positive result.
Talking about President Muhammadu Buhari campaign promises, they (my friends) inquired about the “five thousand naira a-month allowance” Mr. President promised them during his campaign. If he (President Buhari) fulfilled that promise by paying us five thousand naira a month, that would do a lot for me; said one of them who was also a graduate.
Being the youngest in the gathering and still a teenager, I literally had nothing to lament except that my friends were lamenting and the cost of tomatoes at that time was high, all this due to the pathetic and substandard state of the nation’s economy.
About the “five thousand naira per-month allowance”, I do not reckon that fulfilling that promise will help Nigeria and Nigerian youths, not to mention that paying five thousand naira to above ninety million youths will be a big blow to the nation’s economy because of the corruption in Nigeria.
According to British Prime Minister, David Cameron; Nigeria is fantastically corrupt. Many Nigerians slammed him, saying that Britain is more corrupt. But, he is right and that is a bitter truth. Nigeria is corrupt, almost every sector in Nigeria is corrupt. If President Buhari fulfilled his promise and began paying every youth five thousand naira every month, there is a humongous possibility that a high percentage of the youths would not be paid because of the corruption in the system. For a country where less than ten people assembled themselves and shared 2.1 billion dollars that was supposed to be used to purchase arms to counter the nation’s insurgents in a dining table, I do not think one should be surprised. If the budget to pay every youth five thousand naira every month for one year was released today, more than seventy percent of the budget would be shared among corrupt “ogas at the top”. I implore youths to think about that. They shouldn’t ask for that allowance for two reasons: one, because it wouldn’t get to most of them and two, because it would be an opportunity for the corrupt leaders to enlarge their back account.
Nigerian leaders are self-centered. They only think of themselves and enlarging their bank accounts. They do not care about the people. Their self-centeredness and yearning for more money are what has birthed corruption and today, corruption is seen as a way of life in Nigeria.
While I was still in secondary school, in SS1, I had a classmate whose wish was to become the president of Nigeria. One day, I asked him what he would do if he were the president of Nigeria. His reply had me in a state of Melancholy and I was down in the dumps. He said, he would use the opportunity to be superrich, quoting “I go make sure say I thief for the first three years well, then the last year, I go come do small thing”. Honestly, I do not blame him. His reply or professed intention is as a result of what he sees the leaders of today do. He sees corruption as the way and sitting in position of authorities as an opportunity to become superrich.
Almost every sector in Nigeria is corrupt. The Nigerian football league is arguably the most corrupt football league in the world (read the most corrupt league inthe world). The electoral process is corrupt. Elections are rigged all the time. The people who admonish us not to sell our votes lure us to sell them, and eventually, some people who do not have willpower give in and sell theirs. (I will not sell my vote when I start voting).
The admission procedures in Nigeria is also corrupt. In many Nigerian tertiary institutions, students pay lecturers, or other administrative staffs before they can gain admissions even after passing JAMB and POST UTME. Recently, the federal government of Nigeria scrapped POST UTME but some schools still sell POST UTME forms. Some schools have changed the form to “SCREENING form” still selling it to students. There have been lots of rumors suggesting that the scrapping of POST UTME will take effect as from next year but I am yet to watch it in the TV news. While in school, some students still have to pay lecturers before passing their courses and some dull ones bribe the lecturers. This is very rampant in AUCHI POLYTECHNIC. In some schools, the school fees for indigenes are cheaper than that for non-indigenes, and they say we are one Nigeria. It is truly lachrymose.
Getting a government job in Nigeria is almost impossible in spite of one’s qualifications if one does not know somebody in a position of authority in that organization, hence the term “connection” is the most common word in the mouth of government jobseekers in Nigeria.
Above are very few instances of corruption in Nigeria amongst several.
Just when Nigerians had almost adapted to the corrupt system and had almost accepted that corruption as a lifestyle, APC arose with the change-agenda with the professed aim of changing the country for good and commitment to putting an end to corruption.
About the change-agenda, I honestly have seen no positive change, only increasing change in price of commodities and services. About corruption – I acknowledge the president has done well, dollars stolen from Nigeria has been returned and hopefully more will be returned. As stated by Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole; the increase in dollars to naira value is as a result of the dollars that has been taken away from Nigeria by past leaders. My wish is that, President Buhari should put the money that are returned to good use for the good of the people.
Regardless of the suffering of Nigerians, her president receives a ridiculous daily allowance every day for feeding, transportation etc. you’d be astonished to know the amount President Buhari spends on each trip. Well, that needs not concern us here. His allowances cannot be labelled as corruption since they are legal.
Conclusively, I would like to say that the grass root of corruption is in the government sector and the reason for this, I believe is the impunity the president and governors enjoy while still in power. I implore the senates to pass a bill to put an end to impunity in government.
