Abeg shift go corner make I see competence and intergrity to run the affairs of Nigeria
you are just being a coward Ibos should learn how to take up responsibility for their actions Are you deny Igboness of Pastor Emmanuel Chibuzor Obimma ?
Holding his crusade in one of the South-East States, popular cleric, Father Emmanuel Chibuzor Obimma a.k.a Ebube Muonso, lauded the Igbo people of Nigeria for their industrious and resourceful nature, while also taking a swipe at resident Muhammadu Buhari whom he described as an empty brain and his kinsmen, saying that one Igbo man is equivalent to five hundred Hausa men.
The cleric went further to say tell congregants that the greatest mistake Buhari made was to arrest the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu whom according to him intentionally set a trap for the President.
He also talked about the economic hardship the Igbos were subjugated to immediately after the war, and how they soared through and today became more greater than they were.
A total of 29 support groups in Plateau State on Thursday vowed to deliver the state to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu and the governorship candidate of the APC in the state, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda.
The coordinator of the groups, Dr. Muhammed Dahiru, said these in Jos on Thursday at a public function where the candidates were endorsed.
“We in the APC have the best candidates and marketing them would not be difficult. Our presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has a track record of success as well as our governorship candidate Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda. We would go to the nooks and crannies of the state to campaign and ensure victory for them as well as other candidates contesting under our platform.
“All our votes would be delivered to our candidates who have been tested and trusted, the present governor, Simon Lalong has done well in bringing peace to Plateau and Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda would bring massive development to the state if elected, we have confidence that Dr Nentawe would deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Plateau as governor come 2023
The running mate to the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Plateau Hon. Pam Botmang, described Dadin Kowa community where the event held as his home .
Botmang added that he has confidence that the community would vote massively for the party in the forthcoming general elections.
Yilwatda, in his goodwill message, thanked the people of the community for their support stressing that he would revamp the state if elected governor come 2023 .
He pledged to run a quality and people focused government when elected, adding that 10% of the state’s internally generated revenue would be deployed to empower youths, women, and people living with disabilities.
As part of his objectives in achieving peace and security as well as inclusive economic development, Yilwatda further promised to accelerate youth employment, introduce integrated rural development programmes as well as community policing and inclusion of all citizens in the governance of the state .
He said, “We must empower the youths, tackle poverty and carry them along in governance. My mission is to make Plateau the preferred destination for investments, businesses, tourism and habitation.”
“Plateau youths are very creative and there is the need to empower them.”
He further stressed that his policy thrust, tagged “ACCESS” is a principle that will govern Plateau without any sentiments towards tribe or religion.
“I shall consider security as a cardinal point, security is fundamental
“A vote for me is a vote for peace, a vote for prosperity, a better Plateau. A vote for me is a vote for development, I will be a governor for all,” he added.
1. I employed 60% of Anambra people in IBL Brewery 2. Out of 150 players in the American NBA, 100 are Nigerians 3. I did not leave debt in Anambra (actually he did) 4. Tinubu sent out WhatsApp messages against me that I would destroy Lagos 5. My investment in SABMIller now worth $100 million (actually, it is now worth only $5.38 million) 6. SE Governors founded ESN (actually, ESN was founded on December 13, 2020 by Nnamdi Kanu). 7. I have only one wristwatch (LOL. What a lie!) 8. I have never been involved in corruption (according to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, Obi corruptly ferried money out of Nigerian and stashed them in secret accounts). 9. I don’t fly private jet (photos don’t lie!)
The Labour Party, LP, has warned in strong time the Iyaloja General Chief Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo and the Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu over attempt to frustrate residents of Lagos from voting candidates of their choice as the nation approaches the next General Elections.
Of worthy of note is the attempt to forcefully force the people to accept their candidate.
A statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Arabambi Oluwafemi Abayomi on Saturday says traders of Igbo extraction are now living in fear as there seems to be a mandate from the highest quarter to ensure that they either accept the All Progressives Congress, APC, or face the dire consequence of death.
Arambami Abayomi says the Party is in possession of evidence of cohesion by the market leaders under the watch of Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo where traders are forced to surrender their PVCs or have their shopped locked and their goods looted.
This he said started when market women were forced to stage a phantom one million March in support of their candidate and those who failed to do this were forced to part with a whooping N5,000 or have their shops locked.
A case in point is the closing down of Alaba International market heavily populated by the Igbos when evidence abound that the foot soldiers of their candidate, the Transport Workers Union members and the Park Management Committee are the one who stirred the honest nest by embarking on extortion of buyers and traders under this economic hardship imposed on Nigeria by the outgoing President.
Arabambi says under their watch, legitimate business men are choked with various policies coupled with lack of electricity and basic infrastructure to make ease of doing business.
Arambami mocked the ease of doing business of this administration laced with unhealthy action of the leaders in this government and their agents.
He particularly faulted the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu for losing his voice when and where it matters, but was quick to unleashed his lapdogs and other security agents on hapless citizens especially the lads that were peacefully commemorating the second anniversary of EndSARS protest at toll gate where innocent youths were murdered by security agents on the order of Sanwo-Olu.
Comrade Abayomi wondered why Sanwo-Olu cannot use the same method to protect Igbos and those who does not believe in the policies of their murderous party and are ready to give them the red card at the poll.
This according to Arabambi amounted to a drowning man seeking for ways to survive the tide of the waves, but this time he said the tide is too strong for them and is ready to sweep them away at the poll in 2023.
He however warned the Iyaloja General and Sanwo-Olu to have a rethink and never again throw the state into another season of darkness by promoting ethnicity.
He added, “Nigeria is an indivisible entity and we have agreed to work together no matter where we found ourselves politically and geographically.”
The LP is also calling on the Inspector General of Police to as a matter of urgency call the Lagos State Police Commissioner to order as this will be the last time such criminal and infraction will be tolerated by our party.
The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Monday reserved judgment in an application by the Federal Government seeking a stay of execution of the court’s judgment that ordered the release of the Indigenous People of Biafra leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
Justice Haruna Tsanami announced that a date for the delivery of judgment would be communicated to the parties when ready.
While arguing the application, the Federal Government told the Court of Appeal that Kanu poses threat to national security and must be held in detention to maintain peace.
In a motion for a stay of execution of the October 13 judgment delivered in favour of Kanu, the Federal Government’s counsel, David Kaswe, while arguing the motion, informed the Appellate Court that Kanu had earlier demonstrated to be a flight risk when he fled the country when granted bail on the terrorism charges against him at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
“My Lords, our concern, the concern of the Federal Government, is the threat the release of Kanu poses to the security of this country and its political, social and economic activities. We will not be able to lay hands upon him if he is allowed out of detention and finds his way out of the country.”
He, therefore, prayed to the court to stay the execution of the court judgment to enable Kanu to remain in custody pending when the Supreme Court would finally determine the pending appeal.
However, lead counsel for Kanu, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), claimed that the military unjustly invaded Kanu’s ancestral home and that it took God’s grace for his client to escape death.
He informed the court that the government was in contempt of court by not obeying the October 13 judgment.
Contrary to the Federal Government’s claim, Ozekhome said it is only the release of his client that would ensure peace and tranquillity not only in the South East but the entire country.
“My Lord, the action of the Federal Government in respect of Nnamdi Kanu is an insult, a slap in the face to this court. It is also an invitation to anarchy, and I humbly urge this court to dismiss the application for lack of merit,” he said.
After taking arguments from parties, Justice Tsanami announced that judgment had been reserved and that lawyers would be notified when it is ready.
keymatt: Even though I'm BATified, Tinubu rallies are organized not out of love for Tinubu. They're just doing it for money unlike Obi-Datti rallies. I'm not convinced with people participating in Tinubu rallies. Majority are there to chop his money.
APCnaPDP: That’s the question you should ask yourself. Why do you want to vote for a man that wants to reduce purchasing power while printing more money? Do you want to kill yourself?
. Why do you want to vote for someone who will invest our resources in his family business? Sufferness no dey tire you?
APCnaPDP: If you like vote Tinubu for status quo to remain. The only thing that will change is higher inflation and reduced purchasing power. Una go see shege.
Racoon: Don't mind them. They started it including this yeye one wey dey complain while neighing like a horse sniffing his female rear. He was on Twitter then insulting president Jonathan back then.
