Was worried cause I also didn’t submit the NSE document. They replied my mail about two weeks ago that my application is still under active review so I guess that means my application is not on hold. IRCC sef should sorosoke and mandate the NSE document if they know they want everybody to submit them and stop disguising.

I think you should it give more time before requesting for your note looking at the fact they they just received your additional document a week ago. That means your application became active less than a week ago. Probably give it few weeks and hopefully by then you should have a decision on your application and if not you can order for your note. Your gcms note might not have enough details if you order it now. By the way how did you know your application was on hold since your NSE deadline already passed? Did they send you a mail stating that or how?

My advice is for you to order for your gcms note so you can know the status of your application. Then while you await your note, keep sending mails and raising webform since it’s beyond the processing time.

I applied October 19th but eligibility review started Nov 30 but I have requested for my gcms note on jan 2. I have also started my class online. Even those that submitted the NSE document since early December are still there not to talk of people like us that did not even submit the NSE. My school resumed two weeks ago all the deadline don pass sef. If IRCC no teach person patience, I don’t know what else can. Still I’m confident that it will end in praises!

You are not alone on this. There are a couple of people here with the same issue and I am also one of them. You can also raise webforms and send mails to them about it like I did. I got a response saying my application is under review but I can’t say if it’s a generic response. Mine has been like that since the expiration of the NSE period on December 26.

Tojeruky, a GCMS note tells you the perspective of the officer that reviewed your application. It’s mostly for those who have been refused or want to know the status of their application. If you are a first time applicant you don’t need it but if you have been refused a SP, it’s advisable to get it before reapplying.

Now for me that is going for a student visa, do I need this GCM? If yes, how does it work really?

I'm particularly concerned about the December 15, 2020 part, where they explained that applications received before that date would be processed via the 2 stage format we all know.

I'm asking if applications received after that date would be processed via the regular study permit process as I've underlined, and what this process is all about.

Lastly I don't know if these updates have been there and I didn't just Notice.
I'll appreciate all responses.
