Eddlad: @opYea! you must have been curious back then as everyone was as a child, no doubt about that. Amid this curiosity, were certain things you did which were completely misjudged as a result of being naive back then as a child. Those things certainly is what we want to share. |
breathless: @OP. Please take note, it is HEAR and not HERE.Thanks for the observation. I notice it immediately after posting. Kicking myself afterward. |
ideyhere: Actually, being the play play that I was, none of those things could hold me down. Saliva being what it is, the stitches were removed the next day and the tongue was back to normal. The only one that held me down was when I had to wear casts on my hand for almost a monthI never had any serious injury other than the routine one when learning a bike. |
LaRoyalHighness: Lol... eyen eka mmi! abadie e?Lol... Asong ooo. Abadie? Asok atoyo se ake sinam idaha adoho etok eyen? |
ideyhere: If I come back from school, before my elder sister finish looking for neat clothes, I would have gone to the laundry basket, remove cloth, enter kitchen and pounce on the food...Hoooh! i can only imagine the pains you passed through. Childhood play causing serious injury since 500BC ![]() |
LaRoyalHighness: Whenever I fell sick then I would pretend to be okay... *fear of injection. If its tablet i must use garri with affang soup(my native soup). Meaning when am sick mum must cook it, so i can take my drugs. |
Mutuwa: I use to dread tales by moonlight, esp the opening theme where a hunter comes across a monster in the bushes. ![]() |
Jackeeh: I used to hide lumps of eba either under d dining table or gum them behind the fridge n shout " mummy I've finished eating. See my plate is empty". And when d coast is clear, I'd remove them from were I stashed them n throw over the fence. Little did I know I was throwing them into someone's farm. One morning, someone knocked at our gate, and when it was opened, in came this man with all my supposedly swallowed garri that I had been throwing away. N I mean the whole lot of them, everything. I was mortified. And from then on,whenever I had garri as lunch,it would be under the strictest supervision. And then, making me finish even the smallest amount of eba was d cruelest thing u could do to me. But now I don't even get satisfied with a large amount of eba. Hmmmmmmm childhood!!!Wasting mum's eba which was for the good without knowing. |
As kids years back, there were certain actions and characters we had that if in retrospect now will appear hilarious and you may be wondering why you did that. Well as a child then we obviously would reason as one. As for me back then i cry when ask to take a bath, upset during news hour on NTA, muttered and refuse to eat(their food abi?) after being berated and chasten by my parent(Imagine! who's hungry?). Let's hear yours. |

nigerianvenom: are u ok at all?will u go away with ur grade Z scam.what do u think akwa ibomite are?Hi "nigerianvenom" I appreciate the concern you have for the people of our dear state Akwa Ibom due to the incessant scam a lot of Nigerian has experience both online and offline in recent years. But that does not mean both platform are deluged with fraudsters "No". Good deals has been and will still be made on both these platforms. Now if you read closely on my opening thread I have this "I reside in Akwa Ibom, we will first meet on a one on one basis, get to know each other, discuss further in detail on the business, before releasing your hard earn money if convince." I said I will DISCUSS THE BUSINESS with the intended investor IN DETAILS before he/she releases his/her hard earn money IF CONVINCE. So I don't think its ideal and fair enough for you to castigate and derogate this when neither you nor anyone is yet to meet me. Am sure you know that people out there have ideas but no imminent cash to invest, while others on the other hand have money but don't really know what to invest in. Am not quite impress on your action, but do have a nice time. Warm Regards! |

Introduction: Hi people, this thread is basically for individual employee that reside in Akwa Ibom state who have interest in investing part of their hard earn money in business but do not know the business to invest and the much needed time to manage it for maximum profit. Interestingly, I have a business idea that is simple and straight forward with ROI in range of 50%-70% within three to four weeks and 97% success rate. How It Works: You invest in the business, I do the bulk of the work and return 50% - 60% of investment as profit within 3 to 4 weeks. You can choose to recoup only your profit, profit + investment or reinvest everything while counting on your next ROI. Duration of Continual Investment: Since its a business with prospect, the minimum period is at least two month after which you are completely free to opt out or continue as long as you fancy the business. Reliability: Since I reside in Akwa Ibom, we will first meet on a one on one basis, get to know each other, discuss further in detail on the business, before releasing your hard earn money if convince. Investment Amount: Basically, the idea is to start small and grow with time. Sixty to one hundred thousand naira (N60,000 - N100,000) startup capital will be enough. Risk: There is obviously no business on planet without risk, if one should tell you there is, beware of such. It all depends on how its being manage and the level of risk involve. However, the risk here is minimal to nothing(2%-3%) hence the 97% success rate envisage. We discuss it when meet. Indicate your interest if you will be willing to invest. I will be willing to meet you and discuss further on the business and how it will thrive. I will try and contact all that will be interested, and whoever ended up investing, the house will get to know and he/she will let the house know the situation after 3 - 4 weeks. I'll as well update the house. Let's get the investor. |

Effort by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to make the Nigerian economy cashless, received a boost yesterday, with the introduction of the nation’s first non-bank credit card. Following the launch, O3 Capital Nigeria Limited, promoters of the product became the first non- bank credit card issuer in Nigeria. Briefing journalists, investors and stakeholders in Lagos yesterday, Chief Executive Officer of O3 Capital Nigeria Limited, Mr. Abimbola Pinhiero said the Nigerian economy cannot move to the next level without consumer effective lending. He said the World Bank and IMF economic growth forecast for Nigeria will not be sustained if all Nigerians do not work together to sustain the growth. He disclosed that there are only 100,000 credit cards cross banks in Nigeria today, adding that with a population of 160 million, the country deserved at least a million credit cards. The 03 credit cards, he said, work on the Interswitch network, “which means they can be used on all ATMs, POS and internet payment sites in Nigeria.” According to him, the Card enterprise is driven by an ultramodern Card Management System that is provided by a leading Canadian software company Bevertec CST and a Customer Relationship Management System, which is provided by Redmain, a UK based CRM Solution provider that provides a robust experience for the cardholder while guaranteeing transaction and data security. “O3 Cards comply with the international EMV standard with data transmission done under an encrypted and secure environment. Our entire operating systems would run on certified platforms that are PCI DSS certified in line with international security standards issued by The PCI SSC (Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council). “The best marketing model that describes the credit card market in Nigeria is the adoption model. This is the model where the industry is “virgin” (in its state of infancy) and there is a need for the establishment of a credit card culture and infrastructure. O3 Capital intends to drive the evolution of this credit card culture in Nigeria given that there are less than 100,000 existing credit cards in a country that has a population of 160 million. We believe that the key to achieve competitive advantage is through our product differentiation strategy and product efficacy, “he added. He further stated that the mission of O3 Capital is to provide the average Nigerian with access to funds to enable them meet everyday consumption requirements. With O3 cards, he said, the average Nigerian will not be “cash-strapped” but will have that additional funding source to meet daily needs. “With O3 cards, all the customer’s basic needs become affordable. Our objective correlates to that of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Financial System Strategy 2020, which includes the Cashless Policy. Its objective is to promote economic activity by utilising innovative payment systems with ease of accessibility to the general populace, “he said. http://www.businessnews.com.ng/2014/08/31/nigerias-first-non-bank-credit-card-launched/ What's your take? |
Not the best of it but good though. He seems to have lost a bit of confidence in what her decision will be thus being completely overwhelmed and delirious. Going two knees down and grabbing her was a bit weird, one should have been more romantic while holding her hand. All the same, I wish them the best. |

Was Chris expecting anything less from fifa when due process was neglected? Its no surprise. Margiri was suppose to head the assembly for election before he was apprehended for interrogation. |
