I heard it's throttled after 1tb

How true?

No! It has been taken off but we in Naija were never throttled

My mother is furious that I don't want to come over to the UK.
This month my younger sister left for UK and it's remaining me.
Documents and all papers are right and after couple family intervention I decided to go for interview.
I really didn't want to go to Uk
I love my life here in Nigeria tho things are hard.. it's still my home
I feel more connected to my father's land.
Going to abroad is not my plan. My mother thinks I'm possessed by spirit that want me to not succeed.
My uncles have pleaded with me to go and join my mum and sis in UK.

I was given UK visa last year, refused to join my sister that traveled this May

honestly I don't want to move to Uk.
I know how hard life can be in 9ja but i still love this country.
Mumsi says she is really dissapoinmented in me for staying back.
Did I do anything wrong?

Funny as it may sound, You are not alone, but I advise you go spend at least a year then believe me, you'll be fine.

See that idea of bringing only Mediatek phones to Nigeria, they should perish it

Long Term user, but NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER BUY A MEDIATEK Phone from them, no matter how much hype or performance they claim.

Wait oooo. Only Mediatek. I am totally lost. I entered a store at Ikeja and they kept saying Mi12 has an 8th Gen Processor.

My People! I greet una. I'd like us to share the main factors that make you like or dislike the Redmi Note 12 series? It would be fantastic to share your thoughts on the key aspects, such as design, performance, camera quality, battery life, software experience, and any other factors that influence your opinion since using the device.
It seems they are some official eyes now keeping track on Nairaland. Over to you my people.

I’ve never been this excited about a new project in a while. Well i’m starting my new journey into animation. It has been something that I have had in mind for a while now. Got the iPad Pro, awaiting the Apple Pencil and some other accessories.
I believe experienced minds in the house would be able to give help/advice to a rookie like me.

Been a while here. Big ups to everyone keeping it on lock. I see we are nearing 10k. Big number!

lippincott:
Did you experience these issues too? I have been trying since last Friday. My house has really poor internet reception so I was really banking on Starlink.

You would be supposed that you NIN might just be the culprit. Try use another person details, maybe Madam's.

You would be shocked. I tried that and it was fruitless. Maybe xender can help. But it's too much of a hassle. The only apple products that I would only recommend are any products besides an iphone.

turkeyman:
Can I use this to receive call on my Android device

Boss Man works perfectly for anything on Both iOS and Android platform, even Windows and Mac. So far it has Bluetooth to connect to.

The trauma of loosing one's Kid is not what any one would pray for. That house is scared for life in his heart.

I would like to believe you tested it outdoor and not indoor as I am seeing in the pic you posted. Starlink doesn't work indoor. It should be placed outside where it must have unhindered clear view of the sky, preferably at the highest point of you house, your roof.

When I spoke with him, he isn't sure the address matches the service for the router. Boss Man try posting a picture of your app.

Has anyone manually paid for their starlink monthly subscription? I am trying to manually do it rather than automatically wait. Their T&C says

"A statement (invoice) will generate 7 days prior to the due date as a reminder for upcoming charges each month. Find the statement in your account and in your email. You can make an early payment manually in your account within this 7 day period prior to your due date"

However when I log in to my account whether via the web or mobile app, and I click "Make A Payment" under the "Balance Due" section it keeps saying "Unable to make a payment". I am using my GTBank Dollar card which is also what I used to order for the Starlink hardware. I dont like leaving dollar in my GTBank Dollar Card Balance. So I was hoping manually paying would work. But it has not been working. Has anyone manually payed before. Or payment is only Autodebitted in Nigeria.

Unfortunately you can't. Even after they send you invoice, it would still take some days before they charge you. I was meant to be billed on the 4th but was charged today.

In Sha Allah. Will be completing mine on Monday

I became a US citizen today

Na this kind news they sweet person Belle

toluxa1:
Well I just realised that the Night data thing is no longer required since the Plan is not 100% unlimited, so no need for day and night data truely.

Actually it's the other way around. Since it's now official worldwide that there is no data cap, then there is no need for fair usage time again. PS in Naija all our plans are unlimited

toluxa1:
The rate at which Starlink is shifting goal post, they might eventually relocate the Stadium. I am hearing that the FREE Night Plan (11pm - 7am) is being terminated too.

Seriously I don't know where this is coming from.

toluxa1:
I'm not sure i fully understand the idea behind these new Priority plans. The cheapest one which is Standard is unlimited and the Priority is capped? Though it says once you exceed Priority data, then you're auto switched to the Standard unlimited so by thinking is that the Priority Data is FASTER?

They should be adjusting them as the Residential plan is Unlimited. But Oga Stanley08 fit share more light

Snart303:
Yeah I’ve been enjoying my 5GHZ connect and I’m getting minimum of 176-300mbps

Na so he suppose be.

Investor137:
The starlink wifi router is super fast and the coverage can go quite a good distance to cover the entire house. However, it didn’t meet my expectations in terms of Control and use. It should have features such as
Users management
* device block/unblock
* device data allocation
* parental control features
* content filtering
Etc

Best thing that has happened to me as a Nigerian is starlink

You see that Device block and unblock go really make sense gon.

They won't call him a terrorist. The media would play it down and it's just another day in America. May God protect us all especially we that have people over there.

Investor137:
This is the speed I get in my place with the startlink

I know say you go nearly sleep last night. 😀

georgee:
U are very correct.. That feedback.. *We are presently not in your are* don break my heart many times before starlink came to my rescue

FiberOne only covers 5% of Lagos state

You would not believe that as of last month, one ISP's placed their sticker on my gate. My brothers showed me, see as I dey swear for them say na after I spend over half a mill una come dey land.

CavendishPlex:
LOL! FiberOne does this effortlessly too.

Unfortunately they won't be everywhere like Starlink. Imagine when you see this but they tell you they are not available in your location. More than 27 ISP's gave me that news last year. FiberOne or other ISP's would work for me but you see that location ehn

CavendishPlex:
It's funny how people who've never used products come out and make very bold statements about such products which are definitely untrue. How can you say that Starlink is the only ISP in Nigeria that offers truly unlimited internet service or that Starlink is capped at 1TB and gets throttled once your data usage hits that figure? Just how? Why don't you try out those products first and see things for yourself first hand instead of relying on "dem say dem say?"

I've used FibreOne since 2016 when I bade farewell to DSTv and never have I had issues with them throttling my internet speed except when there's an occasional general issue just like the one that happened around the last Easter holiday. And then you have guys like Georgee and Dam5reey who use Starlink giving you first hand info about the non-existence of any speed throttle.

The only reason why there service is not number 1 is due to location constraints, I called and left they be like watin them one find come my place. Chai he pain me gon 😀

kriss27:
Sorry bro
plaese is it advisable to buy iphone from Aliexpress?

A solid Big NO! there is a very high chance of you getting a "REFURBISHED" device, "REFURBISHED" in this sense is not fake but a very used one packaged to be in good condition.

Gentledizzle:
Have you used over 1TB?? Where as the speed will be throttled. Dey play.

georgee already showed you with my stats so I believe that should suffice. There should be Nigerian ISP's that allow unlimited usage but there might be a throttle or they are not available in your location. However na to find the one for your location that would suite your needs.
