Today in Akwa Ibom we have industries, we have good roads, we have bridges, our teams won cups, some students of public schools are making us proud abroad, we attracted European giants, our syringe industry is the biggest in Africa, we have safe environment and so many other goodies. In just 3 years we realise that we can be the best in Africa not just Nigeria. Udom till 2023, after Udom an Uyo man will takeover in 2023 to continue the good works. Akwa Ibom is PDP shame on haters

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel yesterday Tuesday 21st August 2018, honoured invitation by the Chairman and Members of the State Council of Chiefs at the Traditional Rulers Chamber, Uyo.

Speaking through the Chairman State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty, Edidem Apostle (Dr) Ntoeno Udo Effiong Akpan, the Chiefs advised Governor Emmanuel not to be disillusioned by the betrayal he is experiencing from political Allies but should remain focused in his aspiration, assuring that his second term bid is a done deal since his predecessors from Uyo and Ikot Ekpene Senatorial Districts had enjoyed.

The royal fathers offered prayers and blessed Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Imagine how foolish some of we Nigeria's are. When EFCC was probing Akpabio the supporters were shouting witch hunt asif he gave them parts of the money. that he never embezzle their state money that FG should leave him alone. No that things fall apart they suddenly remembered that he embezzled over 500 billions. Is AG or Govr Udom dead then? It's now they realize his bad act bunch of criminals. An ex Local government chairman was once sent to jail because of less than 20 millions and he spent about 3 years in prison. If Nigeria's can stop supporting or have feelings for our criminals politicians, things will change for good for us.

Godswill Akpabio, former Minority Leader of the Senate, has denied reports his relationship with Emmanuel Udom, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, is strained.

Emmanuel was largely unknown in political circles until 2013, when he was appointed Secretary to the State Government (SSG) by Akpabio. With Akpabio’s support, Udom went on to become Governor of the state two years later.

Akpabio was a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governor at the time but he has formally defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) — a move predated by rumours that he and his protégé had strained their relationship.

But when asked on Channels TV’s Politics Today if this was true, following his defection, Akpabio said: “No, no, no. I don’t have any issue with the current Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Udom Gabriel Emmanuel. He remains my Governor, and a godfather to my children. I don’t have any issue with him.

“If there are local issues, these are things we can sit down on the table and resolve. And, for me, I think of the national interest. I believe strongly that with the challenges we’re having now, all hands should be on deck.

“So many people are being killed in Plateau, so many are being killed in Benue, so many are being killed in Taraba, so many in Taraba, Boko Haram has not abated, herdsmen clashing with farmers, South-East we have the IPOB, South-South militants are still not totally satisfied… We have challenges all over the country.”

Asked if it was true he was nursing the ambition of becoming Senate President, he said: “I don’t have any intention of becoming Senate President today. But I have every intention of becoming whatever God wants me to become.

“My name is Godswill, and I believe in the will of God. I believe so much more in the will of God more than the will of man.”
