I spoke over the phone with a heartbroken applicant to Finland from last year, and I learned that even after meeting the criteria for a student permit, unfortunately Nigeria and Africa are among areas with reduced quotas for RP...Pls try to have other options as you work out your migration routes, so that you do not meet a brick wall....Like I told many of you on audio call, you can strategically plan this whole movement by anchoring first in a less fanciful European country, also note that for many Nigerians living here, America, Canada and Australia is their final destination, but took here as a step toward those big nations I just listed....So for others, their first country could even be Ukraine, Turkey, Cyprus etc

Be guided

Boss Ibrahimovic, pls SHARE with us how you learnt Finnish.
As for me oo, I am a polyglot, I can speak & understand Standard English, Nigerian Pidgin English, Yoruba and Kiwi English.
Okay here was my secret: When I was still in Nigeria and was sure that I will migrate to Finland in a year, I began learning Finnish on my own during my free time off hustle in Lagos via Youtube, google translate, and tasteoffinnish website...I had a book where i learned so many and taught myself up to around 50% by the time I touched down Finland... grin So start by learning the basics, almost everything is easier these days because of the internet, but it all boils down to motivation...Also in Finland, I have my Naija/African crew in Vaasa Of Course, but I made sure i kept a Finnish crew too whom I speak the language strictly with, the only way to actually master a new language is by speaking it continually regardless of errors, at the moment I am around 85% and I want to learn Spanish now cos of my football agent thingy cheesy

Umm, it is. Fluent french speaker here. Duolingo is good for beginners and familiarizes the learner with the language. The major thing with Duo is VOCABULARY. You also learn how to say necessary phrases like "I want to eat" or "The time is ...".

Download Duolingo guys.
I think Duolingo doesn’t have Finnish...But it is such a helpful app for learning languages, actually one of the best

1. Yes there are limits to the student account, I remember mine was around 150k that time. But it's no big deal because, any amount fit enter inside until you will want to make a withdrawal. You can always resolve it by just presenting your passport and they will upgrade it. From my experience at least.

2. So far, the merger with access has no effect whatsoever. Nothing has changed for both customers. So you're good.

3. If you have an online banking ID with the bank already then its not really difficult but if you don't then I'm afraid if its gonna work because the bank sets your banking ID tied to the particular phone you use to do your banking transactions.

P.S: If you already have account with Fidelity and you still dey with the naija Sim you used to open it there, you fit still use normal SMS run transactions I think.

P.S.S: I use android, I don't know if I can screenshot the android version for you.
Thanks for your comprehensive answers, also you can screenshot the android version

1) I have been saving money every month since I started working when I arrived this country to my Diamondbank account in Nigeria, and I operated this account as a student, my question is this: How do I know the limit on this account? Also, by my projections it could swell too much for a student account, abeg I hope say these my project money dey safe? embarassed

2) Also does the merger with access bank affect anything? Do I need to do anything wrt this?

3) Can I install the Fidelity Bank App and start using it like I use my Diamondbank here? Can someone help me with a screenshot of how it looks like? I use iOS too... My Nigerian sim gets SMS here so getting codes nor be wahala

Kindly note that I have researched online about these but I need on the ground answers, let me know what I’m doing here...

Lol gamblers! These Finns gamble a lot...They have an opposite view of wealth and riches...They generally believe that the only way they can get rich is via winning big on lotto...What a poor mentality....Can’t blame them though, with the bills to be paid and taxes alone angry

@Ibrahimovic303

Someone told me this there are currently no tuition fees charged in Finnish education degrees regardless of the level of studies and nationality of the student.

Please can you help me to confirm that maybe it's possible.
Tuition fees were introduced in August 2017, it used to be free prior to this..check StudyFinland and also studyinfo to verify what I wrote...

The course is organized mainly in Finnish, and Swedish. Some of the major subjects are taught in English. I don't know what to do sef

Between Swedish and Finnish, which one is more difficult??
Finnish surely....Actually the ratio of Finnish speakers to Swedish in this country is 94%: 6%

Not all... The likes of Seychelles, Namibia, Rwanda, Botswana and Ivory Coast just to mention a few. All these countries i listed are not richer than Nigeria but they are BETTER than Nigeria in some aspects.

Talking of deporting you or collecting your business from you. That is totally wrong boss

These countries can never do that. Rwanda is the second African country to do business. Few years back, Rwanda is number 150 in the world to do business but now, Rwanda is in number 29 in the world to do business. They are progressing not like Nigeria where corruption have taken over.

Security is topnotch, in terms of cleanliness nko... Boss, those countries cannot deport you if you did not commit any crime.

Although there are some countries that don't like Nigerian. Example is South Africa. Despite the fact that most South Africans don't like Nigerians, many NIGERIANS are still trooping to South Africa in search of greener pastures. My daddy's younger brother has been in South Africa for 19 years now... Ever since he left Nigeria, he hasn't stepped his foot on Nigeria soil. So you see that.

Those that was deported committed a crime. Hence, the deportation.

Ghanaians don't want Nigerians to destroy their country. They are one of the progressive African countries.
Your points are valid oh...But I don’t feel comfortable with anything other than Nigeria, as in, I’m not proud to say this, but I know how to address Nigerian affairs by using money to get things done if you know what I mean...I learned this since Secondary School na...I basically bribe my way to get things done, it is the reality and I have become used to it...When I’m in Finland, I don’t have any need for it except to “dash” the DJ few euros in the club to switch to African music angry
