Because the first day I touched down Helsinki airport, I kept swearing for our leaders, both past & present...I want Nigeria to work, just like the countries that have far less resources than us, simple. Wow just wow...I live in Finland myself and always visit Stockholm via Viking Cruise, I never knew it is like that there. This means that these are generally easier here in Finland, because e.g with our local drivers license from Naija, we can get Finnish temporary license immediately and after verification, the original can be obtained in some months...lol no wonder Finns don’t like Swedes one bit lol

Like even though the Standard of living is maybe a little higher than here, including salaries, but everything is damn expensive....For example the Tupla chocolate you get for less than €1 here can be as high as €4 there, if you are not on a great scholarship or your folks are not Otedola, omor reconsider.

We have a fantastic lecturer at VAMK..heard he’s a yoruba man that came here over 20yrs ago..others are still upcoming too, but time, grace, smartness and patience best describes this country/continent even, now you will need to learn how to display your talents to these lecturers, by speaking Finnish too and showing them how good you are, ”but never outshine the master”

My own part is this my people, I am a final year student, already in my second semester trying to right exams before ASUU bring their yeye strike. I want to leave this country by all means. I have always been a die hard lover of the US, until someone advised me to go for tuition free countries. From my research I know Germany and Norway gives free tuition for Masters, and I have chosen Norway over Germany because of their standard of living. Although there's no law binding their minimum wage, but you can get 21 dollars per hour as a minimum wage in Norway. I have a lot to do Ibra and my people
1: Admission opens in October for Norway schools, I am already in one thread concerning people living in Norway and I can see they are not active. I want to write Toefl, but I never hold money. I sometime stumbled on one thread at a time where someone was assisted in writing his standardized test. I wouldn't mind if anyone fit help my ministry, so I can move to the permanent site. If Norway, Germany or Finland come my way like Davolee song, abeg I Wan commot before January 2020.. God no go Shame us all.

Good choice but Germany is cheaper than Norway...Like even Finns here dey complain about am, so as a student trying to migrate on a tight budget, I will advise you to observe Germany well unless maybe a big miracle happens that lots of money falls on you

If i was earning even that 400k, I would only visit the western world for holidays...The bills one even pay here is so mid blowing that you really have to work your ass off to even have savings, nothing is free here, I would only advice those hopeless graduates without jobs to migrate, not people with filling stations and big businesses, these types cannot face the kind of hustle we do here, because when they remember their class back home, they will just fall into depression, I’m getting fed up of senior ex bankers here from Nigeria complaining to me that they have been doing menial jobs for 8years...

Summary is that try to get some skills by the side while you apply for a school within the Agricultural field for your Msc, there are definitely schools for you here...But get some skills too, like Forklift permits, crane driving permits, even luxury bus permits, it will help

Pls if you are earning well in Naija think twice before you try to run away oh, I know a very close friend here who is regretting his life here because he was working and earning comfortably back home, even had a car wash in Okota, but just wanted to join the bandwagon of diasporans, now he has been doing cleaning job here for 5years, not that the cleaning job wont give you money, but career satisfaction is out of the way....With all these skills you might be depressed if you cannot find your dream job here and then settle for Posti or cleaning job here

There are two ways we immigrants get into the cooperate world here: Either in the hospitality sector or in IT....Others have very good grounded skills like Hot work permits, Heavy duty truck permits, even luxury bus permits and forklift permits....But then it will be wise to be armed with one of these skills while you search for schools here in the Agricultural field

There is no ready made job anywhere in the world bro...You gaz find way to hack the system because across the Scandanavia, language is a crucial factor in netting a decent job, if you escape Finnish language and run to Norway, you gaz learn Norwegian to make headway.. typically we have lots of job portals here, so if you go for an interview(which will be in Finnish), they will set questions for you based on you meeting the requirements, trust me, we have Msc and PhD peeps here all hustling menials, a lot depends bro, luck or God´s grace is one crucial factor too, also are you willing to step down your high horses and take up an Internship place and work your way up? Sum up these points and get the weighted average

But bro, what's Finland denial rate like if one is going as a student, I'm asking this cause after spending over a 700k applying to USA as a student, I still got denied. So I also want to be sure if Finland student visa sure if you meet all the requirements or they also deny ppl alot based on hometies even after meeting all their requirements

The denial rate was very low before, but from last year, them start to deny and delay peeps anyhow, but even at that, people still dey get am...But still look at these our neigbhours here like Lithuania, Latvia if you really want enter here somehow, otherwise Germo na still baba las las cos them still dey favour student permits

Trust me, you gonna need you Naija passport for important verifications in Finland, or maybe, anywhere in the Western World...Could be like getting some online orders verífied from the supermarkets or bank account issues or driving license matters or then Migri or police issues....It is unavoidable. As for abandoning it, I usually attend to this at weekends like this more, compared to any other time cos of my tight schedules...So I will rather do this at my spare time, but the goal is for more Finland based lads to share things with us here, as well as helping others who intend to migrate from Naija

I am a full stack developer and database engineer, it is an everyday OJT as usual because of the firm I´m working with and specialized ways of handling certain processes. Cyber security is highly recommended too alogside full knowledge of writing codes. This is priceless here
