Chaii....I am speechless and highly embarrassed |
oladipodk:Yes...I had an explosive connection with a German dude yesterday at a club, we connected well and dude has literally been to almost all the African countries lol....He even lived in Port Harcourt for One year, working as an expatriate for Shell....Life has got some serious hacks...If you know, you know... |
Have you wondered why some people never go for interviews but they get the best jobs? Also wondered why some people get juicy contracts without not meriting it? There are some life hack secrets that few people know and might never share with anybody |
shininglite:Everything na consistency+patience+God’s Grace |
shininglite:Na my side hustle be this :football agent...I can’t promise I will get you invitation oh, but I know a couple of coaches in kakkonen and two from Veikkausliiga, email me your CV, videos, photos, if you’re a transfer market player send me this too....Then go and fast and pray that it happens, so that I can make my cash from your talent Remember that Finland is not England, Spain, Italy or Germany in terms of fat salaries, but you will be prepared for these leagues from here. I’m new in the hustle, and learning the ropes....hopefully oil dey your head too like my Hungarian youngsters |
RealityShot:The day you experience how things are being run in a saner clime you will understand better...But then, I won’t derail the thread further, we all know what those specific things are, let’s be realistic. |
RealityShot:Let me ask...have you visited any of the Western nations before? Because the first day I touched down Helsinki airport, I kept swearing for our leaders, both past & present...I want Nigeria to work, just like the countries that have far less resources than us, simple. You sef, you know what I am saying... |
error4040:Lol...Kenyans especially...those people have special beef with Nigeria, I saw some viral video of one Kenyan elder statesman lampooning Nigeria and corruption....Here, they try to make it look as though they´re African best ![]() |
RealityShot:Lol. ..I just want a Nigeria where someone can get a well paid job without hustling for connections in the company, and where police will not just open fire on an unarmed citizen.....of course decent infrastructure and obliteration of corruption in addition too, abeg is this too much to ask? ![]() |
I don`t know why other African nationals here in Finland always think they are smarter than we Nigerians...Lol As in, brain for brain, we pass them...Our fighting spirit is something else, but other Africans for here go dey do good face for oyibo man Even noticed that lots of them are mostly East Africans, and I see how inferiority complex has swallowed them lol Na them know sha ![]() |
These photos are over one month old...I will be going for a side hustle appointment at Tampere tomorrow, you all will be shocked at the length of snow right now this winter lol.....Will upload this tomorrow
|
Wow just wow...I live in Finland myself and always visit Stockholm via Viking Cruise, I never knew it is like that there. This means that these are generally easier here in Finland, because e.g with our local drivers license from Naija, we can get Finnish temporary license immediately and after verification, the original can be obtained in some months...lol no wonder Finns don’t like Swedes one bit lol ![]() |
enility:Like even though the Standard of living is maybe a little higher than here, including salaries, but everything is damn expensive....For example the Tupla chocolate you get for less than €1 here can be as high as €4 there, if you are not on a great scholarship or your folks are not Otedola, omor reconsider. |
DemigodZeus147:Of course! We have a fantastic lecturer at VAMK..heard he’s a yoruba man that came here over 20yrs ago..others are still upcoming too, but time, grace, smartness and patience best describes this country/continent even, now you will need to learn how to display your talents to these lecturers, by speaking Finnish too and showing them how good you are, ”but never outshine the master” ![]() |
enility:Good choice but Germany is cheaper than Norway...Like even Finns here dey complain about am, so as a student trying to migrate on a tight budget, I will advise you to observe Germany well unless maybe a big miracle happens that lots of money falls on you |
enility:Lol no na I nor be fool...time never reach |
olioxx:Yeah more like it...with those, your future anywhere in the West is rest assured...I know that Naija is crap at the moment but the privileged ones should look before they leap sha...Truth is, a jobless graduate living in Shomolu and coming here to hustle menials will be happier than a millionaire from same Naija, haba...! On Top -25c person dey use bicycle dey go share posts round Vaasa, na suicide for am na |
olioxx:Yes oh...I’m particularly making reference to those who have/had the potentials to be multimillionaires in Naija but just threw everything away to come and hustle here for so many years again...I wish I could transfer the pains on their faces to this discussion, but your last statement is okay, if you get a fantastic job abroad while in Naija, it is a different case |
Gr8mind07:Two days ago, a 42year old former Diamond Bank staff was showing me photos of his house and cars and office in Nigeria BEFORE he came here, I just shook my head cos I nor even get Keke for Naija, talkless of car. Now my second job is a menial job, that was where I met him, here in Vaasa...How this guy dey follow us dey hustle 11€/hr still dey mad me! Abeg I won’t talk about this anymore, my own be say once I hit my target for here I don pack load come back my Festac |
If i was earning even that 400k, I would only visit the western world for holidays...The bills one even pay here is so mid blowing that you really have to work your ass off to even have savings, nothing is free here, I would only advice those hopeless graduates without jobs to migrate, not people with filling stations and big businesses, these types cannot face the kind of hustle we do here, because when they remember their class back home, they will just fall into depression, I’m getting fed up of senior ex bankers here from Nigeria complaining to me that they have been doing menial jobs for 8years... |
olioxx:Then make sure the job is in the bag before you japa...Bro, many diasporans will not tell you, but if reality sets in, you will know why they say a bird at hand is worth two in the bush... Don’t make the mistakes our more successful working class keep repeating...I escaped Naija because as a graduate, my pay was 20k which was irregular and I had to save my family and my life lol...If i was earning 500k, I WOULD NEVER HAVE LEFT NAIJA |
RealityShot:Hi kindly redirect this question to the contestants in the upcoming elections, they visit here alot and should know what needs to be done |
Ocon:Summary is that try to get some skills by the side while you apply for a school within the Agricultural field for your Msc, there are definitely schools for you here...But get some skills too, like Forklift permits, crane driving permits, even luxury bus permits, it will help |
olioxx:Your skills are top notch, have you considered applying for jobs in IT in UK? Also how is your earning power at the moment? Pls if you are earning well in Naija think twice before you try to run away oh, I know a very close friend here who is regretting his life here because he was working and earning comfortably back home, even had a car wash in Okota, but just wanted to join the bandwagon of diasporans, now he has been doing cleaning job here for 5years, not that the cleaning job wont give you money, but career satisfaction is out of the way....With all these skills you might be depressed if you cannot find your dream job here and then settle for Posti or cleaning job here Calculate yourself wella sha |
[quote author=Ocon post=75167429]Seems I studied the wrong course in UG. Cos all I'm seeing everywhere is IT Any hope for an Agriculture graduate to make it to Finland for Masters ![]() Or if possible come over there for another degree Ibrahimovic303[/quot There are two ways we immigrants get into the cooperate world here: Either in the hospitality sector or in IT....Others have very good grounded skills like Hot work permits, Heavy duty truck permits, even luxury bus permits and forklift permits....But then it will be wise to be armed with one of these skills while you search for schools here in the Agricultural field |
olioxx:There is no ready made job anywhere in the world bro...You gaz find way to hack the system because across the Scandanavia, language is a crucial factor in netting a decent job, if you escape Finnish language and run to Norway, you gaz learn Norwegian to make headway.. typically we have lots of job portals here, so if you go for an interview(which will be in Finnish), they will set questions for you based on you meeting the requirements, trust me, we have Msc and PhD peeps here all hustling menials, a lot depends bro, luck or God´s grace is one crucial factor too, also are you willing to step down your high horses and take up an Internship place and work your way up? Sum up these points and get the weighted average |
tiptoe1:The denial rate was very low before, but from last year, them start to deny and delay peeps anyhow, but even at that, people still dey get am...But still look at these our neigbhours here like Lithuania, Latvia if you really want enter here somehow, otherwise Germo na still baba las las cos them still dey favour student permits |
error4040:Trust me, you gonna need you Naija passport for important verifications in Finland, or maybe, anywhere in the Western World...Could be like getting some online orders verífied from the supermarkets or bank account issues or driving license matters or then Migri or police issues....It is unavoidable. As for abandoning it, I usually attend to this at weekends like this more, compared to any other time cos of my tight schedules...So I will rather do this at my spare time, but the goal is for more Finland based lads to share things with us here, as well as helping others who intend to migrate from Naija |
tiptoe1:Hey...I began from YouTube, someone here mentioned Coursera, mine was Udemy....We have alot of them which have their caprices too, also edX is good |
error4040:Lol you don corrupt be that na finally na the hack be that las las |
olioxx:I am a full stack developer and database engineer, it is an everyday OJT as usual because of the firm I´m working with and specialized ways of handling certain processes. Cyber security is highly recommended too alogside full knowledge of writing codes. This is priceless here |
