This machine is located in many supermarkets throughout Finland...It is the main reason why this country is clean because all your empty plastic cans, bottles can be fed into it for recycling, then it will print slips which you can take along to buy more food or whatever in the supermarket...Now I believe that Chinese man that said money is littered all over the streets of Nigeria!!

I noticed everyone wants to migrate here, but I stand to be corrected, only few are actually taking TOEFL, IELTS etc...omor how u want take get admission na? As in, it is a necessity for many schools across this region...If na Canada, UK, na different matter...Naija hard oh, but the bold, fearless, faithful and determined will escape that pit of a country...

Cos I no get 5m for my account o , so, I am very keen at clinching a 100% tuition waiver. I am doing for US and Finland applications, but I am more concentrated on Finland for now because most of the schools have January 31st as deadline. I will be taking my TOEFL next month, most of the schools accepts 92.

I learned from the more motivated lads on this thread that some schools here in Finland have started their admission ish...Guys it is very important you start from somewhere in this immigration matter, you cannot be saying you want to migrate to Finland via studies next month, yet no Intl. passport, no preparation for English tests, etc..with these yardstick, one can say you are very motivated to migrate

I am very keen at making way next year, and already penned down courses for a Msc in two unis in Finland. Howbeit, I want to ask, does one have opportunity to carry a spouse along just as we have for the US B1 visa?

Also, is it allowable for graduated students to get jobs after studies and how feasible?

In taking your spouse along, you will definitely show a separate proof of subsistence means for her..so you really have to show some really good sum of money for both of you, check migri.fi to know the exact sum. As for Jobs, IT is hot cake here and if you know your onions in that field, you are good to go...and you can hang on after your studies, even with a menial job..

That was very possible few years back, many Nigerians came that way, but it’s so tough nowadays for that, even coming here on visit visa and falling in love with a Finnish girl, you gaz go back to the embassy in Abuja to apply for RP, Incase you want to get married to her

Omor I dey speak am oh, but English is spoken widely in Helsinki, but in getting good jobs, you gaz speak Finnish or Swedish at least..,Some international jobs even require English, Finnish and Swedish...Language is key for more opportunities in Europe anyway

I’m not on scholarship here, you can always get by as a student there with menial jobs and factories are abundant in some cities...student housing is cheap, some places could charge €250/Mth and you can split these anyway

For money, most schools in Finland now charge tuition fees ranging from 8k- 12k euros, but there are now abundant scholarships options that will reduce tuition by as much as 70% or even 100%, which means you could then be on payroll of around 500euros per month as long as you remain competent for what gave you the scholarship

Application rounds open next month, get your english tests, transcripts sent, motivational letter, CVs, scholarship forms too...When you get admission, next thing is to transfer your fees to Finland, then they will send you an acknowledgement letter from the bank, which you will use for the embassy visit...When you get your RP, you come to Finland, start making friends on the study in Finland thread here on nairaland, you must not have anyone here....I prefer Germany over all three countries obviously because they are a powerhouse here in Europe, Norway is too damn expensive unless you are loaded to the teeth, but I will put them in these order: Germany, Finland, Norway....

According to the admissions guide for international students, they stated That Nigerian and other west African countries can submit their Waec Result (which I have).

I haven't submitted the application yet because they need my passport to be among(which I don't have yet)

Okay...but usually those English tests are needed, but maybe they are slowly understanding that we actually speak better English than they themselves

Deadline for submitting application into Nord University is 1st December. I don't have a passport yet. Am wondering if I get my passport before the end of this month and submit it to them. Can I still make it? I will be heading to the immigration office to apply for a passport on Monday.

Just try your best and be quick about it...when you get to the immigration office, shake body wella for them make your passport fall out sharp sharp...Again, do you have your English test results? Have you sent your applications to the school in question?
