In a previous thread, I made the now obscure observation and prediction that Nnamdi Kanu's IPOB is in no way interested in a Biafran Ethno State but rather are a controlled opposition towards ushering anarchy to justify tyrannical extra constitutional means to consolidate the Fulani grip on the Niger Delta.

Buhari never hid his hatred for the ND before he became President and he promised his northern constituents he will reign in the erring region for demanding more share from their own resources. To this effect he even claimed that the terrorists in BH were fighting because of the injustice by the Yaradua govt in granting amnesty to ND militants and implementation of the 13% derivative to oil producing states under OBJ. Even the offshore - onshore dichotomy granted by Yaradua was seen by the likes of Buhari as a great injustice as it greatly reduced oil allocations to the north.

From this we can argue that resolved issues brought forward by Niger Delta agitation in the area of more resource allocation is what spurned the madness known as Boko Haram if we are to take Buhari's own submissions .

Note that the Igbo nation through their representatives at the NASS , Governors and so-called politicians sided with the north in opposing the implementation of the 13% and onshore-offshore dichotomy. They lumped OBJ's third term bid to reject in entire all executive bills sent for hearing at the Senate during the final curtains of that administration.

Even when Yaradua began to consider an executive bill to put toward the initial 25% derivative alongside other bills such as creation of a Niger Delta Ministry in a bid to end restiveness in the ND, it was Igbos that voiced the loudest resistance to the amount proposed. The likes of Wabara stated clearly that more money to the ND will not be favorable to the SE. A compromise was made with a reduction from 25% to 13%.

Back to Buhari and you will recall that his first orders as CnC was to carry out bombing attacks on Niger Delta communities in Calabar and Rivers . The bombings were excused as necessary to tackle a myraid of daily changing villaibs from pirates to kidnappers to criminal gang that was claimed to have attacked a police riverine outpost. This was the first false flag that never happened in which Buhari used in justifying attacking the ND.

In a follow up to the senseless bombing spree that greeted the ND, leaders of the region convened with militants and called for calm stating that the region was being deliberately provoked by the Buhari govt to justify an intercine war of pacification on the region.

Despite all the provocations by the Jihadist govt in Abuja, the ND took it all and never responded to the provocation.

It was then IPOB was activated as a controlled opposition to goad the militants to see the Igbos as an ally against the new Fulani Jihadist govt. It never worked and will never work.

It is from this point that IPOB was activated to start a war in the SE towards roping the ND into their foolishness. It still did not work.

To make it clear here and now, when Buhari made his 5% statement he did not have the Igbos in mind as the press person who prompted that statement asked Buhari how he will address the grievances of the Niger Delta region. That question was put forward by the reporter who knew Buhari as a staunch opponent of granting any monetary compensation to the ND peoples. It never included the Igbos who gave Buhari enough votes in places like Imo (30%) and their voter apathy saw to Buhari wining the election.

But for some reason the Igbos assumed the toga of 5% despite all their politicians defecting from the PDP enmass to the ruling Party immediately after Buhari was sworn in.
