Sir rugged7 and Ben, pls provide response(s) to my question(s) above.

beneli:
@Phantom,

To the best of my knowledge the ones in the UK are not for Consultants. I understand why you think it's for Consultants given that they specified the specialties they're recruting into. But i'm sure that they're looking for service-grade junior and middle grade Doctors. There's a shortage at that level here at the moment (the Nigerian equivalent of Medical Officers). The jobs should be open to whoever can tick the boxes in the application forms! I know that it will be difficult for somebody in Naija to meet the deadline for submission and interview, but you never know.

The ones in Australia and New Zealand are open to every level and are ongoing.

Sir. rugged7 and Ben, pls also attend to my questions above.

Apologies for not replying earlier.
Been a bit busy last few weeks

As per your questions, like somebody said above, if you take time to read al the posts on this page or even the last 6 pages, you will see ALL the answers to the same questions you are asking now.

We can't keep on repeating the same answers again and again.

However, to summarize
Nothing is easy in this world.
YOU have to go out and TAKE IT.
I don't have a crystal ball into the future, as U.K visa rules are fluid and can always change.
Even now they are trying to reduce locum pay from £20-£60/hour to lower amounts by april 2016.
It may probably be unsuccessful as they have tried it before 4-5 years ago.
Thing is, even if they succeed in reducing it, with the income you get, the quality of life is far better than in nigeria.
The only thing is that it will make you work harder.
Naija man no dey fear work naa. All na hustle...
I can't expose methods of maximizing your net income on this forum as it can also attract oversight from UK border agency and Her majesty's revenue service.
Suffice it to say, there are ways round every problem. Locum agencies will guide u.
The whole world is fluid right now, there is no job security anywhere!
Anything can happen anytime, thatz why u have to be sharp and fast and have PLANS A, B, C,D and E in case of wahala.
Your life is your own, NOBODY can make decisions for u and ur family.
I know most doctors abroad love nigeria and would prefer to stay there. BUT, they will frustrate u in nigeria. The consultants, the pay, the equipment, access to materials, electricity, transport etc
Out of curiosity, can i ask the HOUSE, how many actual successful CPR resuscitations have you seen in Nigeria in your clinical practice??
Nothing stops one from acquiring a foreign fellowship-especially now that you are young.
And still come back to Nigeria at the end of your surgeon abroad to practice in 9ja, impact on the younger ones and die a blissful death in the village.
You need a certain level of desperation and self-confidence in this search for greener pastures abroad. Not everybody can do it.

“If you dare nothing,
then when the day is over,
nothing is all you will have gained.”
― Neil Gaima

Bros, the ball is in your court...

God speed and blessings to all the young doctors who dream and aspire.
May God see you through.

Thank you

Life in the UK as a foreign Dr is indeed tough!

I know a lot of people who have been floating around for years and i mean years with no job no interview no prospects thats why i said earlier the US is your best bet

If anyone insists on coming to the UK they must be prepared to struggle

There is a new system just kicking off in the UK for training Drs, this is still in its infancy and so has lots of teething problems
This is even making life difficult for UK and EC graduates not to mention foreign Drs
There has even been a protest march concerning this issue in London

I am happy to advise anyone who wants to come to the UK after all this, though i would advise you to steer clear of the UK for now.

I am in the UK because of family ties etc I consider myself lucky to be making progress here and have almost finished my training, but if i had to make the choice again would probably go to the states. i would have finished my  training a long time ago instead of having to do twice as much and be twice as good as everyone around me

Good Luck

Sir,
Pls, is the future still bleak or pretty much the same for IMG's in the UK. Your impute will be highly appreciated as I intend taking a decision ASAP.

Romance / Re: No Sex Till Marriage: 4 Major Challenges by Ichie007: 6:16pm On Dec 04, 2015

tanks very much my dear....some persons r so quick to come online to preach n impose hw dey feel on oders ...dis issues r personal n should b a conscentual decision between d 2 person in d relationship.i for 1 dont see a shit wrong in pre marital sex n dose endulging in it should not b lebelled as some of us r doing ....wat right have u to judge ,r u God .
IamMissMarvel:

Speak for yourselves.
The problem is, you judge people without knowing who they really are.
Should people come to you to tell you they are virgins or they are not engaging in premarital sex or even present evidence to you before you won't judge them and tag them as hypocrites?
Experience has taught me that the real virgins are not the ones who look it, they won't even tell you and they know as much about sex as those who are sexually active. Because they read.
You don't know who is knacking who behind and pretend no to.
That's why Christianity is an individual race. If you are pretending to be what you're not, your judgement dey heaven, and if you know the truth and still choose to mislead pple or act like you don't care, then your judgement is also in heaven.
The standard of the bible will NEVER change to suit our earthly standards.
We are all sinners thriving to be holy. And we can't get there by pretending to not know the truth cause it is this truth that will set us free.
Cutehector:
Our parents and grandparents were virgins wen dey got married, at leqst a good number of them, and they gave birth to lots of children..
This new generation is filled with doubts and uncertainties.. Hence the need for experiments
AVRecruit:

im coming back to address you fully.
AVRecruit:

why are Nigerians such hypocrites and liars? u know its important you still claim it isnt.
fyi whites always show display of affection including in public places. the religious ones among them leaving sex till marriage still hold hands and such.
Eddygourdo:
Everybody here is a Virgin, the OP is corrupt, he and me are sex addicts because he pointed out his opinions on a philosophy, if you are all Virgins who abstain from sex, who are those men who have slept with all the ladies I know and will know. Nigerians ad shameless hypocrisy is like bread and butter. Shame

Are we in any way promoting promiscuity and pre-marital sex? This is not an issue of bin a virgin or not. And who says one who by virtue of chance, immaturity or what have you lost their virginity can't keep it till marriage?

Op, your points are baseless to say the least. It is this quest for 'fun' and 'experience' that is tearing marriages apart.
Let's reason together, if we all are sexually clean(virgin or no virgin), there won't be prior basis for comparison as per a spouse bin 'good' or 'not'

Let's not deceive ourselves pls as this is a deliberate attempt to justify the gory site of an average youth's mind eye.

Medically, infertility(which invariably includes impotence and similar stuff) is no longer used(expect in extreme cases of agenesi or aplasia), sub-fertility is now the term because several means and methods are now available to bypass such challenges

Experimenting does not avert this problem unless you are now advocating for early pregnancy
P.S: sexual purity is attainable regardless of virginity status.
squash1986:
I honestly can't be in a relationship without sex being involved. If I meet a girl and I ask her for a relationship, then she tells me"Fine but no sex"I'll see such a girl as a 419er. "So you want to eat my money and now tell me no sex!"I can't go down in such a relationship. Rather,I'll just take the girl as my friend instead of a "girlfriend".
