fxuser: super risk management move , good reaction . kudos madam i'm also at my highest cash level since dec also anyway , this is d worst weekly performance for bank Index. Week to date is a massive -8.35% (massive weekly red engulfing candle) Personally , got my first humble pie, fidelity holdings was bady out of position wt an avg cost of ard N3 .. i dont know how to avg down , i chop my humble pie without fuss (blame d itchy finger issues later) every market likes to serve humble pies ard every now and den (crypto community de chop am back to back dis yr lolx) dis sell off is likely to continue into the new week .. opportunities will present themselves again , we wud patiently wait and not be drawn into chasing them lol
Key reminder to Self: Never ignore negative divergences As Warren Buffet said, in the market, the rear mirror is clearer than the windscreen... I sit back at times and wonder how I built a buy case when the charts were clearly shouting SELL! It took me as much as slapping myself and insulting myself before a mirror that prevented me from entering Fidelity @ N2.86 -N2.98. This is because, looking at the weekly chart, which I never play with, it was too much even for a die-hard gambler to dare, and weeks can pass too fast without notice, in a wrong stock. The daily was pretending to be nice, like a rat that bites and blows air. I have learned a lot during this period. |

RabbiDoracle: For a high stock price:
It is very simple. Laymen compare the dividend declared with gain they made and calculate how many years their gain will cover the dividend assuming they pay the same amount.
Example:
Dayo buys bank A shares at N24. He hold the shares for 2 years and price hits N50. He assumes that if they pay slightly higher than the previous year dividend, he could get like N2.6 per share.
Now he tries to compare difference between N50 and N24. This is N26 per share.
With simple BODMAS, he divides the gain per share by the dividend per share. This gives him 10 years assuming they pay this amount continuously.
This mean that he compares the 10 years cash out (N26)or hold the dividend (N2.6)
The laymen will quickly apply 'Nkemjika". ....and jaaaaaaaa... b4 being Janetically woundjured..... |

wanaj0: I doubt that the people doing 'pumping and dumping' are here. People just get caught up in a web that they themselves are not aware off!
Look at it this way, how many people understand the business that Japaul is in to? How much is the total capitalisation of JaPaul that Milost will use $250m to acquire 'Part' of the equity? Can you even trust JaPaul to do anything meaningful with any money given to it? What happened to the IPO money? So what is the expectation when one buys JaPaul? When the stock was gaining everyday, what was driving it?
During the bulls, everyone becomes an expert! The bears undresses everyone! You saw people's response to Obabolujo (sp) programme? How many people he encouraged to use short term funds (loans) to invest in the capital market? I am waiting for the IPO's to start again. MTN will come out soon? Watch at the fantastic numbers they will present. No one will mention that ARPU is reducing year on year!
People just need to be disciplined with their money. NOTHING wrong with gambling once you know for sure that you are gambling. People travel all the way to Macau to gamble paying for flight ticket and accommodation anyway!
Anyone that tells you he can determine the highs and lows should also supply you the lottery number! JAPAUL is a legally operated/ listed SCAM! This is one company that taught me that the quality of MANAGEMENT is non negotiable when INVESTING or SPECULATING. When speculating where the management is solid, the exit door opens severally. When speculating where thorns alone thrive, your entry time may be the last time the door was left open..... JAPAUL is the younger and more energetic/brutal twin of OANDO. If you choose to dine with JAPAUL, do not use a long spoon, use a wireless spoon. |

If you seek people's opinion on what to buy. Double your efforts in finding out from them daily when to exit. People seek for fairprice here, when the fairprice reaches, they start quoting sources like Vetiva to accommodate their greed.... Learn flexibility from the palm tree's response to winds. |

Now Benue people can see that even their hypocritical Governor love Buhari's life more than theirs. He left the roads unattended to reduce the wage bill, by reducing the number of workers and pensioners through those death traps! Benue state has always been unfortunately blessed with qualitatively dishonest Governors!

RabbiDoracle: If you say multi billion naira sales, people will not understand it well.
Access has outstanding units of 28.93b and 1.1b units was sold. This is 3.8% of the bank. I am tempted to bring out my conspiracy theory thus: This is one insider deal that has kept this result unreleased till date. Stanbic being the seller is trickish. Why? Just a few weeks back, Access came out to notify that STANBIC had a huge stake in the bank 'on behalf of several investors' or so. Is it that some investors moved their brokerage house? This week will be indeed interesting. The trading pattern of this stock has being in a very tight squeeze for weeks with sellers refusing to blink. |

cc currentprice , Buy back tomorrow. No shame in the market. I sold Diamond bank at N1.50 sometime back. It started moving, I came back in at N1.97, rode to N2.50 and exited again. As regards the market, I have refused to ever stay back and wish people bad luck by wishing the price to hit the rocks. In these days of fuel scarcity, I join any healthy vehicle leaving the park. For the fact that you wrote this down, I can assure you that YOUR MARKET MIND is signaling RE-ENTER. it's better you listen now. At the point of selling, you took the best decision available at that moment. That moment is now in the past. What is the present telling you? Take a stand based on the present scenario. Best of luck. |
