The world’s richest man, Mr. Bill Gates, with a net worth of $87.2bn as stated by Forbes, has been sighted taking a ride in a tricycle which in Nigeria is popularly called Keke Napep. The multi billionaire was on one of his yearly visits to India when he took the joy ride which has left many people truly shocked. In a time when many rich people prefer to ride in mega-expensive cars, yachts and private planes, Gates chose the humbling route riding in a Keke Napep. Bill Gates posted the photo on his Facebook wall: http://www.emmanuelbabatunde.com/2017/05/unbelievable-worlds-richest-man-bill.html Lalasticlala, naijacutee, FOD, dominique, puskin, Mynd44

The Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, yesterday, boasted that he was the first governor to pay N20,000 minimum wage to civil servants. Okorocha disclosed this through a release issued to newsmen in Owerri by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo. “Today, workers will be celebrating their day, and the governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, against the backdrop of the event, wishes to heartily congratulate the workers. “Especially those in the state, for their perseverance and immense contributions to the development of the nation and the state in particular. “The governor commended the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in the state, with comrade Austin Chilakpu as chairman for selfless, and committed leadership. “And to the workers in the state and also for the understanding and harmonious relationship between the workers and the Rescue Mission Government in the state.” The release went further to say that the government was aware that “there had been few cases the leadership of NLC in the state and the state government had disagreed over certain labour related issues. “But the truth remains that, at the end of the day, such issues had ended up being amicably resolved. And this lofty trend must continue to be the order of the day.” It was Okorocha’s view that “The workers should recall that he was the first to pay the minimum wage of N20,000 against the approved N18,000. “And also gave them wardrope allowance that saw them having enviable dress code, and said that, his concern for the welfare of workers in the state remains outstanding.” http://www.emmanuelbabatunde.com/2017/05/i-was-first-to-pay-20000-minimum-wage.html Mynd44, Lalasticlala

Now cows and buffaloes in India will be given 'animal health cards', similar to the Aadhar system already in place for Indian citizens. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated a plan to assign unique 12-digit identification numbers to 88 million cattle in India by the end of 2017. Yellow tags are being placed on the animals' ears by 100,000 technicians across the country in an effort to boost the income of the dairy sector by 2022. The card, held by the owner, will track activities and provide information to ensure cattle can be vaccinated on time, breeding cycles can be better monitored, and scientific intervention can be made resulting in better breeding and an increase in quality milk production. The tags are tamper-proof and designed to last for years. They weigh just 8 grams, to cause minimum inconvenience to the animals that are sacred for the Hindu community. http://www.emmanuelbabatunde.com/2017/04/indian-to-give-cows-and-buffaloes-id.html CC: lalasticlala Mynd44 Fynestboi |
