Kobojunkiee: As the Constitution clearly tells you right there, you uphold a constitutional position by considering null and void every unconstitutional law.... READ abeg! What you keep posting has nothing to do with the governments measures designed to protect you and the rest of the society. You are free to protest, but you are not free to roam around disrupting daily activities of other people, business and social activities. Your rights doesn't supercede the rights of other people. The government by duty must protect the rights of others while protecting yours. |

obailala: Oga you arent talking to a child born yesterday please so stop whipping up this lame and pointless defence. Anyone with a brain knows that the anti-protest protesters were paid by politicians (or at least promised some form of payment). There's even a thread on this forum with some of the protesters complaining they stilll havent been paid. So quit the nonsense theatrics, no one here is a fool. ...but do you have enough brain to show proof or evidence that they were paid to protest? Lying and making up rubbish says a lot about you and the ugly side of Nigeria. You are intolerant and undemocratic, you can't accept the fact that other Nigerians have constitutional rights to protest just like you. Do your protest and respect the rights of other Nigerians to do the same. |

These are the kinds of laws and measures the government failed to put in place during the disastrous and destructive endsars, thank God den don learn their lesson, because these terrorists mean business.
I'm sure the terrorists masquerading as protesters have received instructions from Simon Ekpa to burn Lagos and Nigeria similar to the instructions they obtained from Kanu during Endsars..
Nice checkmate by the government. |

The thing is, this sowore coward and other anti Nigerian elements are asking Nigerians to protest and making demands, while the other side calling for protests have their own different agenda and instructions to burn Lagos and Nigeria down, the last time they protested, Kanu gave orders to his terrorist followers to burn Lagos and I'm sure Simon Ekpa gave the same orders already.
Thank God we are ready for the terrorists and their enablers like sowore this time. |

obailala: The government keeps preaching that "protests are bad and unpatriotic", but the same buffoons went around to organise their own paid protests against the planned protests.
If the government can use air-conditioned buses to ferry their paid protesters, then why can't the clowns provide air-conditioned buses for other protesters? So, other Nigerians must not protest because they have no constitutional rights to protest and when they do, they must be paid and sponsored? Are you being paid and sponsored to protest also? This is the problem with intolerant people, undemocratic and anti Nigerian elements. |

A LETTER TO @jidesanwoolu OVER THE DESIGNATION OF PROTEST VENUES IN LAGOS
Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu Lagos House, Lagos.
It has come to the attention of the Take It Back Movement in Lagos state that your Attorney General surreptitiously obtained a court order designating and restricting protesters for #EndbadGovernanceinNigeria to two locations in the Lagos Metropolis. At the same time, we frown at this abuse of judicial privilege to stifle freedom of association; the movement at an emergency meeting wishes to inform you that since this was your administration’s decision, you must bear responsibility for the movement of protesters from several designations in Lagos to and from Peace Park in Ketu and Gani Fawehinmi Justice Park in Ojota in Lagos. Some of the designated convergence points for participating citizens include
1. Alausa Secretariat 2. Lekki Toll Gates 3. Ikorodu Bus Park 4. Okota Link Bridge 5. LASU Campus gates 6.Iyana Ipaja Underbridge 7.Agege Pen Cinema You will soon be informed of other designated convergence points for protesters.
The buses to be provided must be clean, safe and air-conditioned.
The buses must arrive at this designated areas as early as 6 a.m. and return protesters to their convergence points at 6 p.m. every night between August 1st and 10th, 2024.
The protest days may drag beyond ten days, so the Lagos state government is advised to make contingency plans for the continuation of these actions.
Your failure to provide buses for the protesters means they (protesters) would begin march/walk to the court-designated parks in the city on a daily basis for the duration of the #EndBadGovernance direct actions.
Finally, be informed that there will be rallies and processions throughout the #EndbadGovernance actions, so your bus operators are advised to find and park at a safe distance from the areas designated by protesters for these activities.
Accept our revolutionary regards, Adekunle Adeyemi Taofeek Coordinator, Take It Back Movement, Lagos https://x.com/YeleSowore/status/1818447391843864721?t=-j0YAq02PQn7XE1dXgaXag&s=19Naija activists no dey carry last, very soon den go demand limousine, champagne and gourmet food.. Den go protest against hardship from inside air-conditioned bus. Bunch of clowns..

They must confine their activities to specific locations. |

Awon ode and misguided youths.
The governments from the FG to states and LG share money every month, the FG's money is for the FG, the money your governors collect every month, both allocation and and taxes to take care of you, but you spend your night and days attacking the FG instead of your own governors who are collecting funds to take care of you, to build roads, bridges, schools, hospitals and so on, but they pocket your money without taking care of you.
This is why your governors are stinking rich, they run their office with N5-10 billion every month, they budget Billions every month for security vote that they don't account for.
Your problem is lack or poor civic education, your grievance should be against your governors, not the FG. |

It's an unwritten rule that no refinery must work in Nigeria.

Abufo: Every major industrial project comes with its own power plant most of the time................try again sir! The 3 billion dollar Fujairah refinery has its own power plant sir! Dangote is playing a game that may not favo him, when all is said and done! It also comes with the largest fertilizer plant in Africa, the cost of the refinery in Dubai you are talking about is what Dangote spent on his fertilizer alone. Are they also building the largest petrochemical plant in Africa in Dubai? Are they also building the largest subsea pipeline infrastructure in the world, 1,100km Are they also dredging 2,635 hectares of swampland in Dubai? Is the cost of manpower, equipment, transportation, specification and associated costs the same in Dubai? What Dangote spent on fertilization plant alone is what they spent on your meager refinery in Dubai. Go and sit down because you are not making any sense

Stop wasting cyberspace if you have nothing in your head to contribute to a public discussion. How hard is it to figure out that Dangote refinery is not just a refinery and can never be compared with a 3 billion dollar refinery in Dubai because it's a combination of so many things including a fertilizer plant, a petrochemical plant, a power plant and a gas plant and so on? Did you and the OP add all that up? Dangote fertilizer plant alone costs almost the same amount as the refinery in Dubai so what figures are you talking about? Lazy thinkers. You people reason bellow elementary school kids level.

Abufo: I do not know why people believe all Nigerians are dumb and stupid! I read now that Dangote claims his refinery is worth 19 billion dollars, well I insist that it is not true! Dangote refinery has a capacity to refine 650,000 barrels per day..............a similar refinery of 600,000 barrels capacity being constructed by the UAE government in Fujairah emirate is scheduled to cost only 3.3 billion dollars when the refinery is fully completed in 2025! so whatever NNPC invested in Dangote refinery is definitely worth more than 7 % plus that dangote is claiming! If these fulani looters do not bring this country to bankruptcy ...nothing else can! It's more than a refinery, it's also a petrochemical plant, it's also the largest fertilizer plant in Africa, it has the longest undersea pipeline in the world, it has a 450MW power plant. |

SmartPolician: Oga, you are gaining a lot from Nigeria.
An entire country of 220 million people depends on Lagos airport and seaports to function. Do you know what that does for an economy of a state or region?
If not the population (huge market) and seaport in Lagos, why is every company running to set up their office in Lagos? Does Sanwo-Olu share free money in Lagos? If Nigeria splits, everyone will seek alternatives.
All other companies that ought to have their head offices across states in Nigeria are located in Lagos because Nigeria isn't planned. Lagos State collect major taxes from these headquarters.
I always say that the chaos that happens in Lagos can only happen in a black man's country. No white man will allow its smallest strip of land to be so overpopulated that living and moving around becomes almost impossible.
Many advanced countries are tightening their immigration laws to prevent people from third-world countries from invading their space because they are trying to prevent the Lagos chaos! Ports has little impact when it comes to development and prosperity. There are many states in Nigeria without seaports that are doing better economically than the whole of SE. Some built inland ports, but did any state governor in the SE made any a attempt to build inland Port? No. Lagos state is not2 responsible for bad governance and poor leadership in other states. Progress and economic brilliance in Lagos state is because of good governance, not port or other irrelevant things.. |
