I believe every modern phone made today is more waterproof than their removable battery cousins of the yesteryears. A brief dunk in water or lugging it around during rainfall, and it should be just fine. Even without p2i coating.

But because of Transsions deal blood covenant in which it seemingly sold it's soul to mediocrity, I cannot speak for it.

I have checked out the specs of the redmi 8, the specs is similar to that of infinix hot 8 and tecno camon 15(although battery on camon 15 is 4000mAh).
What exactly do you like about the redmi 8 that makes you rate it above other phone brands?
