Only he and a few others don't understand the essence of keeping a tactical balance of Midfield control and grit. Having all grits is not the way to go. You would only be hard to break down, be playing on the backfoot for the most parts and would suffer dysfunctional passing rhythms in the middle game.

Relax... Nwakali is here to stay. His skillset is highly needed. We cannot be all brawn and grit with no technical control.
And Ndidi always struggle alongside another defensive minded MF. Isn't that fact already established? Ndidi loves to handle the bulk of the defensive load. His stamina is 100. He cannot be overworked. Also he won't defend alone. Nwakali's pressing and workrate has improved over the past 2 months and Aribo's workrafe is also very much present.


Also, Aribo cannot dictate a game. His passing range is limited. This is why he cannot function properly from deep but only when close to the box. His creativity is of a different ilk. When played on the wings, he has the knack for 1-2 exchanges and to attack spaces in order to create and go for goal himself. I have my totalfootballanalysis of Aribo in 2020-2021 to back this.


So take a chill pill, down it with Sprite... relax and watch the best of football featuring Ndidi-Nwakali-Aribo in midfield. Trust me... you would love it.

This na African football which requires physicality and and stamina so our best bet is having ndidi with Onyeka and any of aribo or iwobi with Onyeka a box to box midfielder who while chasing possession will help ndidi in covering grounds

Eguavoen can’t risk benching an Onyeka who hv been the teams best midfielder in training so far for nwakali

Iwobi is too inconsistent but I will excuse Aribo reason being that Rohr tended to deploy him as a second half a midfield pivot alongside Ndidi. Perhaps if he's played in an advanced position, he might give us some shine.

Based on what I have seen of the duo of Aribo and Iwobi in SE colors I dont have a drop of confidence in them. Aribo is very athletic with an eye for goal but he lack skills and creativity. Iwobi we all know is as confused as they come , so , I don't know what you expect to see. Iwobi himself doesn't even know where on the field is his natural position...he just love the attacking midfield position because of the suppose fame that comes with the position.

I see some questions flying around and I hope they can ask me directly now that I am back. How many goals and assists does Nwakali have to show he is doing well? The answers I have is one that will open their minds up more into the depths of the middle game dynamics of the beautiful game.

Football is way beyond just goals and assists. Zidane was an example.

Sadiq Umar like Nwakali struggled earlier in his career at Roma and Rangers, went to Serbia where he performed and now at Almeria where he has been one of the best players in the league and for his team.

Aribo was a university drop out,from non league player to a national team player is something great.He earned it not that he lobbied for it,a debut against Brazil with a goal and followed it up with a goal against Ukraine.

Fact,Nwakili has Aribo to displace and Aribo need to raise his game to put Nwakili on the bench not forgetting experience Alex Iwobi.

A boy who waa born and raised in a first world England with all the government social programs for indigent families , security and regard for human life is being compared to another from a third world country where one senator pockets a salary that could feed a whole village! It's still not an excuse to support rewarding mediocrity over excellent performances. In corporate world people with excellent/decent KPIs, metrics and perform well get rewarded. Nwakali hasn't been decent or excellent this season but it's Nigeria so I'm not surprised.

Soccer is quite uniqu when compared to the corporate fields; there is a situation that brought about Nwakali's inclusion. We need a proper midfield controller , which we lacked and was hurting us badly. Making comparisons is out of question.

You could argue he has not been impressive but saying he has not been decent is not proven , because he plays most of Huesca games.

Finally , who would you take if Nwakali is dropped ?

Ndidi is ranked one of the best DM in EPL if not world football, Nwakali is not even rated best player in second division Huesca.

Wilfred a DM playing in the most competitive leagues has more career goals than our 'prodigy' who plays mostly in lower division. Even has more assists.
