Johnrake69: No mind that guy. Nigerians provide their own basic needs without any contribution from the government. What every Nigerian should be talking about is how to cut down on government excesses. The more than 5 private jets at the disposal of the presidency should be turned to a national carrier. The tradition of budgeting #1.7billion and #4.5billion for food and health care for the presidency should should come to an end. Until all these and many more are implemented, no sane Nigerian should support the introduction of further taxes Oga expect more, VAT might increase anytime from now, Expect toll gates from Fashola across the country. This is how APC runs, more taxes collected by tinubu's company, the more we contribute to Tinubu's Empire. They have already introduced taxes for house maids in Lagos, If i ever have a maid, he/she will never pay tax Pls note that we are already pay tax for each recharge card we buy, after paying tax for the card, you now pay tax for using the voucher, is that not madness. They know Nigerians will adapt, that is the reason for all these ... |

Quakertellicus1: Well, I am not a zombie, or a wailer, but I can see the sense in government charging taxes on calls.
You see....today, oil prices are now $50 per barrel, and not too long ago they were $29 a barrel. In 2013....oil was $112 per barrel.
That means every barrel of oil we sell in Nigeria now....we are earning $62 less than we earned in 2013.
And oil sadly is our main source of revenue (and don't start singing agric. Agric is not the money spinner it once was. Neither is mining).
And if you recall.....we do not control the price of oil (Or for that matter cocoa, palmoil , groundnut or cotton. Or solid minerals).
When the source of your revenue goes down.....you have to look for other sources of revenue. it takes time to diversify.....ie YEARS. Meanwhile,we need the cash now to pay salaries, build things, keep subsidizing education and so on.
So taxes have to go up.....and new ones have to be found.
Or we take a loan from the IMF ......AND use the money to keep on pretending all is well.(We still have to take loans from the IMF).
And here is the cold reality. Oil is not going to rise again , and we cannot diversify into agric or mining because prices there are low too.(Most agric dependent African countries have their budgets written for them by international aid agenices You want that?)
Nigerians.....we are paying the price for years of relying on oil. And the only way out is more austerity measures....so that we can have the cash to fix the lights and transport...so that we can become industrial Not selling raw materials like this APC govt and their PDP predecessors and most of their Army precursors did.
So stop wailing, stop zombeisim. and face the fact. We are not a rich nation. This oil price fall has shown us the truth. And an oil price rise is not the answer to our problems.
Pay your taxes .THERE IS NO NATIONAL CAKE. You are a ZOMBIE Reason - Your govt have alleged that they have recovered trillions of looted funds, yet you have not asked them where the funds are - Your president is feeding on N1.7Billion from our taxes - Budget padding is not corruption - House of Assembly members are going home with Billions monthly, highest in the world from our taxes - House of assembly members are renovating their houses yearly, buying new cars bi -annually from our taxes - CBN has increase interest rates, the money is still our money - Your govt is struggling to pay 18 k minimum wage, some states have been paying half salaries for 2 years now, do you know how the masses as surviving - of all the oil producing countries, Nigeria sells fuel to her citizens at the highest rate - Your govt has no economic policy direction, companies are barely surviving, if they downsize you cry - Purchasing power has reduced hence manufactures' turnover is reducing, businesses are no longer profitable - Your govt spends billions feeding Animals in Zoo at Aso rock - Your govt own 7 private jets serviced with from our taxes - I live in an area where we provide our security, construct our roads, provide our water and power, yet we are still paying taxes
If i am doing all these for myself, why should i pay tax I dont need to go further you are a ZOMBIE |

Telecoms tax shows that this government is even more clueless than we had imagined.
The FIRS guys should work hard and expand the tax base of this country, Fowler did a wonderful job in Lagos. I believe hes a technocrat and knows how to expand the tax base of Nigeria.
Simple economics dictates that when in recession you don't increase taxes. listen to yourself artisans and traders don't pay taxes, so Where does the money collected my those agents go to, a trader in some markets pay taxes daily, some monthly, with different names, guy pack well. yns4real: Tunji Abayomi Writes Tinubu Again: Tonic Of Democracy Is The Right Of The People To Choose Their Leaders
I thank you for your letter dated August 14th, 2016 in response to mine of August 11th, 2016.
Although much damage has actually been done to current party’s interest in this serious governorship contest, I am grateful for the assurances (a) that Ondo State Governorship Primary will be FREE and FAIR devoid of UNDUE INFLUENCE
With this kind assurance, you may now wish, in the interest of FAIRNESS, to re-direct (i) The APC State Chairman (ii) The Chairman of the Chairmen of LGAs, (iii) The Chairman of Ward Chairmen all of who received the directives at the meeting held with you on 31.7.2016 to now focus on fair play at the governorship primary, instead of the candidate you gave them.
Please do note that in keeping with your instruction, they have begun an extensive scheme to ensure that the “Candidate of the Party” that is my brother Mr Segun Abraham whom you directed them to support wins by all means possible. In short contrary to this new assurance, they are exerting much “UNDUE INFLUENCE” on delegates to favour, unfairly the aspirant you presented to them to the detriment of peace, order and good Party process and leadership and especially the just interest of other Aspirants in Ondo state
Now Asiwaju coming to the content of your letter to wit:
“In your pursuit of office, you have sought my support and influence. When you sought that support, you thought it proper and democratic to do so. If I had signaled my support for you, I am sure that you would never have written this letter alleging that I was undermining the democratic will of the people. You would have been pleased with me, I suppose.”
I must express great surprise at this representation. While a number of Aspirants as it was their prerogative visited or approached you, in this season of politics, perhaps for support, with public celebration and photo-taking in many cases, I have NEVER done so. Further, I observed in your letter that you neither provided details of any, such visit or representation for support such as time or place, mode or manner or your hallowed response to my search for your support such as time or place, mode or manner or your hallowed response to my search for your support as the leader of our Party.
Since 2007 I have only discussed the issue of Ondo State governorship election with you on ONLY Two (2) occasions. The first was when you invited me to your house Bourdillon through Chief Pius Akinyelere (an Ondo State indigene) to release the news of the selection my friend Rotimi Akeredolu. The second was when I visited you in your freedom House office in 2012 to re-assure you, considering the defeat at the election in spite of all the money you spent.
As I noted in my letter of August 11th, 2016 I unequivocably disagreed disagreed with the method of selecting a candidate in the 2012 election as I believed it unfairly and unjustly titled the scale of fairness against all other competitors.
As a matter of fact I remember that immediately I left your house I called Mr. Akeredolu the then candidate selected by you, who is at any rate a close friend, to fully brief him on our discussion. I remember saying to him categorically then “if I were you I would reject this selection and insist on fair primary.” Believe me, if you make me the Party’s candidate before a Primary I will reject such offer. I have never accepted a gain at the detriment of others. I just don’t think it is proper or just to declare one of us in first position among examinees before we all enter the Hall.
While I agree that you are entitled as a matter of right to support who you choose in the governorship contest including me, I hold the view that in your esteemed position as an examiner and considering the delicacy of the adventure in issue, especially the demonstrable consequences of electoral failure because of the character of our people in Ondo State, in the case of candidate imposition and especially when one reviews our party’s poor performance on 2012, I would not expect that your personal preference for an Aspirant should be made the Party’s candidate as you did in the meeting of 31.7.2016.
I maintain, based on the reliable information of attendees that your meeting with the party leaders go beyond mere “purported meeting” or “assembly and talk” as observed in your letter. You told them who the candidate of the Party would be and directed them to work for him assuring them of your financial support. I maintain that considering that all Aspirants had all been subjected to the same processes including serious conditional payments, it would have been expected, that as a National leader of the APC and especially as you have at any rate severally assured many Aspirant who came to you, that the Party would guarantee to all, equal protection in the process, you would have refrained from directing the Party to support and Aspirant. Your summoning of party officials to the 31.7.2016 meeting and your instruction to them to work in support of one Aspirant in my humble view, violated the right to fairness. It amounted to undue influence to unjust favour an Aspirant. But we are grateful that you have now, happily given assurance in your letter to me to be fair to all Aspirants. Perhaps I need to add that the confusion in APC in Ondo State at the moment, like it was in ACN in 2012, emanated from the unfair directive you gave to the Party on 31.7.2016.
It follows in my humble view, that as a fair minded human rights activist whom you acknowledged, I should not be ponderous but pontifical in my search for the strength of justice in support of the right of our people and that of the Aspirants especially when as in the case, I am involved.
Asiwaju, I am afraid, I see fairness in your personal right to favour anyone you want, including me, but NOT, I regret in moving the Party to do so before a mandatory election Primary established by our Party’s Constitution to raise a candidate among Aspirants.
You will agree with me that since the defeat of the progressives in the 2003 governorship election, no one has consistently dedicated his time, intellect, resources to the growth of the Progressive political partying in Ondo State more than me. For one, I am only one contesting and spending money for the contest for Governor for the third time. What often surprises me, however, is the tendency of leadership to leave us to struggle with the Party and when the time of election comes, they unalterably take-over and dictate to us who will be the candidate.
So it is certainly not correct, am afraid to say as you claim that “your letter to me is an impetuous display unbecoming of a man of your status and a man seeking highest leadership position in his state.”
There is nothing with due respect, impulsive, hasty or rash in my complaints. They were based on facts and reason, they were meant to save the Party and people of Ondo State from yet another electoral failure judged by the character of Ondo State people. They were not at all “impetuous”
Asiwaju, one important attribute you displayed when you occupied the commission of the Governor of Lagos was the courage to stand up for something. I don’t think it will be fair to me to use intimidating words such as:
“Instead of fighting me who is but one man with no vote, you should be fighting for votes and support. Your letter to me was woefully misplaced and inappropriate.”
I merely raised issues that deeply concern me and others in Ondo State, I mean issues in which you are involved with regard to fair contest in the coming primary. Where is fighting you in all of this? Have you thought it out that with the directive to the party chairmen you have unduly influenced the process and turned the expected primary to mere rituals that has pre-defeated the right of other Aspirants to fair play? I had honestly hoped you will reflect more on the content of my letter before your response.
I believe my letter was within fair comment on an important public issue that touches on the right of many, many citizens of Ondo State. It was not with due respect, in my view, “an impetous display” or as noted in your letter “unbecoming of a man seeking the highest office” in Ondo State.
Now Asiwaju, on the issue of 2015 Presidential election as it concerns President M. Buhari you appear to believe I referred to it to enhance myself. Far from it. First, let us not be too anxious to state how unimportant people are. What separates human being is opportunity. Let us also admit that in human evolutionary progression, often, great ideas come from sources we least expect. Having said that, please, I referred to the 2015 election with regard to President M. Buhari, to affirm a great quality I observe in you which I am afraid I find to be absent in “big men.” This is the quality to listen to a totally different opinion.
Please be assured that I claimed NOT and need no enhancement from that experience. I never need enhancement beyond the rights accorded me by my achievements all of which are often out of stubborn efforts.
I believe history and time have given me the opportunity to live well or poorly, succeed or fail, rise or fall, but in all ramifications I have achieved a high level of contentment through sincere struggle. No wonder I have always been able to take a position. For a human who enters the arena of life at a disadvantage at childhood, from a small community of Okeagbe in Ondo State, to have either served or been rewarded by 4 rated world Presidents, honoured by an ancient American University with world giants such as Prof. Julius Jacobson II (renowned inventor and world father of Microsurgery), Dr. David Liddle (founding father of computer revolution) among 9 world changing leaders in 2005 or enthroned to the Board of major world bodie like Robert Kennedy Center, I should be thankful that I have been beneficially enhanced by time.
Believe me I need no further enhancement through association with anyone, beyond the happiness and well-being of the people of Nigeria and the security of their right against the tempest of pitiless leadership in the land. I do not of course pretend to have influence on you and if I desire it at all, it can only be for the benefit of the people of Nigeria, NEVER, I repeat NEVER for my benefit.
I have NEVER, I repeat NEVER sought relationship for personal interest or benefit even when I was close to a strong Nigerian President in good times. That in fact may explain why I have NEVER, I repeat NEVER come to you for support for the only political office of my interest, which is the commission of Governor of Ondo State.
Well, I have said enough. We are both democrats. We both struggled for the liberty of our people. I believe an essential part of that struggle is their right to use their only political asset i.e. THE RIGHT TO VOTE in a way most conducive to their happiness. It is anti-democratic to promote government of leaders by leaders and for the benefit of leaders or to impose the will of leaders on the helpless masses. Moreover, the grievous pains and torment of development that have literally become the sad lot of the ordinary people in Nigeria since independence, have emerged from the dislocation of the common man’s organic rights to every good and right by leadership. I will continue to stand against such dislocation notwithstanding the tempest of seasons and time. After all, I owe the common Nigerian citizen this duty. I was born by some of them.
Let us be true, beyond influence, beyond money, beyond process control, beyond directives to the ideals for which we both gave up our freedom in the past. Let us re-dedicate ourselves to the right of the people to freely and fairly constitute government over themselves.
Thank you, and may we honor our time and may our time honor us.
Your Friend and Admirer,
OLATUNJI O. ABAYOMI (DR)

Akpabio or No Akpabio, Akwa Ibom will remain PDP – IdeologyI am aware of the perception by many that for another party to be enthrone in my dear state, Akpabio must be taken away. Let me take you down our history as a people. Akwa Abasi Ibom state is not an ordinary state just like every other. We are a special breed after God Almighty. This might sound religious but it is a fact. Every time we hold solemn assemblies, carol nights and many other occasions where we worship and give thanks to God, we are totally inviting God and surrendering the state to His ruler-ship. We begin and end the each year with special thanks to God. Even on a monthly sessions, special prayers are rendered to God. Little wonder why the state is developing at the rate it is developing. Many will think that all these are acts of man, but the truth is, we surrender the state to God each time we reference him. So to say that events that have happened is the state is God’s will is a statement of fact and truth. It might look like the scheming of man’s intellectual capacity, but we have seem as similar intellectual capacity failed in other state. Worthy to note is how our leaders emerge. We know how Obong Victor Attah, Chief Godswill Akpabio and Deacon Udom Emmanuel emerged despite the opposition and court cases. Secondly, if I was born in 1998, it therefore means that in 2016, I am 18 years old. 18years of growing up with a pattern, am a grown man and can take responsibilities. Note that 18 years of PDP is flowing in me, can someone explain how a drop of ANPP, CPC, a fraction of APGA and PDP, LP, and ACN can alter the chemical composition of my make up? How long will it take for the viruses from the later to fight and succeed the antigens of the former? This is purely laughable, as I am PDP Spirit, Soul and Body and it has nothing to do with Akpabio. Talking of Akpabio, He has been part of the last 18 years, so definitely, he has the built and developed men who will stand the test of time with or without his presence. I understand that some people are parading themselves as elders and trying hard to convince the youths why the state should be part of activities in Abuja. Again this is laughable as they seem not to be aware of the cabal in Aso rock who will not let them see the president at their will. Furthermore, I also recall of some set of elders who went to Abuja between 1999 -2007, only to form Abuja front and became a problem to the state governor and the state government especially when they could not get the governor to do their bidding against the will of the people. WE DON”T NEED ABUJA FRONT AGAIN. These elders have tried to convince the youths that “Abuja connection” is necessary so that we can attract FG presence, I will ask, in the last 18years, were there no states which were not in the same party with the National government and were still doing well, at least Lagos state comes to mind. I also hear that some elders are not happy that youth can now afford houses, drive good cars, marry beautiful wives at very young age, and gets himself engaged in a purposeful venture. This is also laughable, Thank God for Akpabio, he empowered the youths, it was not all about support me to win elections, he fulfilled his promises to the youths, and so you see why they youths without sentiments are solidly behind him. Come to think of it, these people who think Akwa Ibom should be handed over to APC, what do they want? It is simple, the chairman of APC has said it severally, it is our OIL that they seek. These same people have acted as stumbling block to Akwa Ibom getting a seaport, yet they are building new seaports in their area, they have lobbied and stopped Mobil from moving her headquarters to Akwa Ibom where they are making money from. How many Akwa Ibomites are in Management position in Mobil, we know all these things, but you see why I will not follow some people parading themselves as elders, for as long as they are getting some millions, they will continue to keep quiet and not fight for the common man. These same people love you as “Ekaette” and “Okon” and will always want you to remain “Ekaette” and “Okon”. God forbid! Above all, far be it, that one man in Ikoyi will be deciding what happens in my dear state. I will rather go to Ibesikpo, Nsit Ibom, Nsit Ubum, Ikot Ekpene, Eket, Oron, Uyo to pay homage than travel to Ikoyi, which is not even cost effective considering the present economic situation. Let them note that the Will of the people will always be stronger than the scheming of a man, as we saw it in Bayelsa and Rivers. Let’s allow a free playing ground, we all cannot be in APC, win some loss some, one reason I will forever respect Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. At least we have seen the genetic structure of APC, house of Commotion and drama, more than a years after elections, they are still infighting, we have seen their signatures in Kogi, Ondo and others, and we don’t want the same in our state. My advice to the elders is that some of them are rich enough to open cottage industries and start businesses and provide jobs for the unemployed youths, they should take a break respectfully and play a fatherly role for the good of the land. My advice to the youths, don’t be deceived by APC and their antics, without propaganda and EFCC they have nothing on you, stay clean, DAKKADA! acquire skills and be a champion! Special thanks to Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, for your good will, and always having the common man in your heart no matter the situation, we love you! And will ever be loyal, several times they have tried and failed, be rest assured that when God is for you, they will try and fail again and again, we are praying for your wife, God will grants her quick recovery, stay focused on the mandate. Thanks to my amiable Senator OBA, who has represented us very well and a strong support to Senator Akpabio, thanks to Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district for supporting and standing by Gov. Udom Emmanuel during the trying times, thanks to Gov. Udom Emmanuel for strides so far and carrying the youths along, may God grant you more grace to run the affairs of the state. Thanks to ministry of Science and Technology, Youths and Sport, Education, the Roothub and AKEES team And to the entire ndito akwa abasi ibom, stay calm, we are getting there, the Udom Emmanuel led government can be trusted with our finance, he is a family man and understands your plight, trust me from next year, your salaries will come on time and more campaign promises will be fulfilled. And to APC take Senator Akpabio away if you want, but prepare to meet 5 million more Akpabio’s at the polls. Long live ndito akwa Ibom Long live Ibibio, Eked, Oron, Annang EDAKEDA! God bless Akwa Abasi Ibom Read more

ideology: After getting admission into the university, the excitement fades off slowly as one faces the challenges ahead. Some students begin to count down when the phase will be over and they can move to the next.
How do I know? Visit any Nigerian Institution when they are writing the last paper, you will be amazed how it is being celebrated. Don’t get me wrong, celebrations are part of what makes life fun but does this mean that they have arrived?
One thing I have learnt about life is that it is full of endless journeys. The end of a journey is the birth of another forming an infinite loop of events.
After graduation, the euphoria dies down for some time and picks up in NYSC camp. At least for most people. One might get posted to some place far away from home and makes best use of the opportunity. At the end of the month, work or no work, the expectation of Federal allawee (allowance) brings joy to faces. This loop continues till after NYSC when reality sets in. The allawee stops coming in, no enough cash to meet basic needs and your ‘big uncle’ stops picking your calls. That job he promised you has disappeared like a ghost in a Nigerian movie.
Now it is time to man up, take responsibility, get a job, and start life on you own.
For the lucky ones, with highly connected parents, family members and friends, nothing much to worry. For the not-so-lucky they have to keep pushing and trying. Sadly, some do this without a clear cut reality check of what exactly, the recruiter wants or what he or she wants from life.
Now, days turn to weeks, weeks to months and months to years. Some get a little lucky to get something doing. This something could be underemployment or working under harsh conditions. Still they trudge on, “wetin man go do”, they have to survive.
Who is to be blamed for this cycle?
The government? Or Educational Intuitions or the Nigerian graduate?
Read more ... Have you heard recruiters say Nigerian graduates are not employable? Is this statement really true? And to what extent? Like my last question in the first chapter, who gets the blame for this cycle? Educational Institutions or the Nigerian graduate? Or even the government? From observation, a good number of Nigerian graduates are smart, purpose driven and have the basic skills to succeed in their chosen career. Yet, there are graduates who still don’t know how to go about their career, despite the volume of information available in this internet age. In the first chapter, I wrote about reality checks, namely: What the recruiter wants What a graduate wants Recruiting is big business; it is expensive, time and energy consuming. Recruiters on their part, have to ensure they get the best brains for their organisation. Failure to do this might put their jobs at stake. Here is a summary of what a recruiter looks for when assessing a potential staff: Skill set and experience on the role Career goals (How you will fit into their organisation) Your value to the organisation (What you have to offer) Your attitude to work and other basic work ethics Your passion for the role Understand that the above-listed points are for experienced positions. let’s see what a recruiter looks at for entry level/ graduate trainee: Aptitude Age (23 -27 years) Education Soft skills Use of English (If English is the organisation’s official language) Now, which category do you fall in? Entry level graduate with more than 2 years’ relevant experience or a graduate with more than 2 years general experience? Understanding these differences will give you a better strategy on how to job search. But before we continue to explain the above in details lets address the following; What do you as a graduate want? What is the difference between career, profession and job? Read more ...Keep following... What do you want?
This sounds a bit simple in lay man terms, but many won’t still answer this question even in 60 seconds, because they have not thought of exactly what they want. This is more of self-evaluation.
Before I continue lets go personal. In the last 2 weeks I have had 10 invitations for interviews, yes 10! Well you may ask why apply for jobs when you have an organization you are already running and also working?
Here is why…
From time to time, I push my CV into the marketplace and see how well my resume will perform, learn more from the recruiters during the interview process, of course you know practice makes perfect and some other personal reasons which you will get to know later.
Well said, I didn’t honor all the invitations as I got so busy during the same period. Some were cancelled others rescheduled. Sincerely, this is the highest number of interview invitation that I have received in 14 days.
What could be the reason?
That is why am writing this piece, to share with you some thoughts with regards job hunting and recruitment process in Nigeria.
So relax and follow this thread religiously so as not to miss any edition.
Here are a few things I learnt during the last set of interviews.
Most importantly for the first time in my life, I went for interviews without preparation, yeah! Maybe because have been very busy or just because I already have knowledge of every possible question.
Let’s roll,
You are a marketer, sell yourself – Even with your rich CV, if you say too little about yourself and what you can do, you may not scale through. Organizations employ because they have issues and need solutions, hence recruiters want to be convince that you can do the job. This you do by confidently being as detailed as possible except the ask you to stop talking please say as much as you can recall about yourself and what you can do. Don’t assume that they should have seen or read everything on your resume. Recruiters don’t always know exactly what and how you will do the job – Not all recruiters know exactly what your role is all about. Some might see it as an easy task, while others will only be interested in the results/ value that you will add to the organization. I recall explaining strategies and plans on how to solve an organizations problem, twice I was told to talk as a lay man, because they don’t understand what I was saying. So come up to their level. Never accept low pay – Some recruiters might see your job description as an easy task, hence offer you a lower salary and allowance, my advice is simple, evaluate yourself and financial needs and make sure you don’t accept low pay, and end up dissatisfied at work or miss a higher offer later. You will regret accepting the offer, avoid regrets. Recruiters use interview sessions to learn – Out of all the interviews I attended, I met top management team members in 2 of them. Interestingly, during the interview, I was asked technical questions, but the MD was busy jotting down my answers, it was very obvious that he also wanted to learn as well. So make sure you know your job, read every day if possible for latest updates in your industry, it could be just what you will need to scale your next interview.
Let’s close this chapter this way; I was also opportune to interview 5 candidates for the position of Server administrator last week, all of them had one thing in common, “loaded resume” hence increased my expectations from them but none of them could answer basic questions.
My advice don’t load your CV with what you don’t really have full knowledge of or experience. You will only make a mess of yourself when asked simple questions. Well none of them was hired. kindly drop your comments/ questions. It could novitiate me to post often Many thanks and have a fruitful week

Politics › Re: Buhari Ban Importation Of Rice But Allows Importation Of Grasses Into The Countr by ideology(m): 10:36pm On Aug 11, 2016 |
Love Machine: The Senate Committee on Agriculture has thrown its weight behind the proposed plan of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to import grasses for grazing from Brazil and they have directed the central bank to subsidise dollar at #197 to a dollar. Chairman, Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, Senator Abdullahi Adamu yesterday said the move to support the plan of the current government became imperative as the importation of grazing pastures for cattle at designated places across the country will bring an end to the lingering crises between herdsmen and their host communities.
Adamu, however, berated some professors of agriculture for criticising the move by the Federal Government.
He criticised the inability of the professors to proffer solutions to the problem of grazing over the years, adding that they lacked any moral right to criticise the government’s move.
The Committee Chairman maintained that importing grazing grasses and making them available to “cattle rearers would put a stop to movement of cattle from one place to another and also end the feud between herdsmen and farmers.”
He said, “In the United States, pastures and water were provided to grow nutritious grasses for cattle’s sustenance.
“The government must face the reality of the moment by taking some painful decisions to end the herdsmen and farmers’ clashes.
“There are no easy fixes to the problem.”
It could be recalled that the Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh, had recently revealed that the Federal Government was making plans to import grass from Brazil in a bid to put a stop to the consistent crises between farmers and herdsmen.
Ogbeh had claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari was putting up grazing fields for herdsmen across the country where the imported grasses would be kept. Politics › Re: Dino Melaye Is Irresponsible - He Lives Large While His Children Look Unkempt by ideology(m): 11:25pm On Aug 07, 2016 |
winkmart: I call him the rogue Senator. How can a man be living a luxurious lifestyle around town and his children look so unkempt like they are from one foster home or something.
You drive the best cars, live the best life, roll with the finest in the society and yet you could not extend that into your home. then you are the true definition of irresponsibility.
A public servant in your status should not be seen with this kind of lifestyle in a sane society. It is only because we all live in an insane society characterized by all sorts of impunity and corruption. That is the only licence you have got to exhibit your shame in public.
In your best of minds, you are the definition of the man that fears no one. I am sorry, Dino, you are the man that every one should be wary of, but I know because of the poverty ravaging the land, some people will say you are a better saviour than Jesus Christ or you preach better than Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
It is a matter of time, Dino. You will realise that this life is a flash. It will disappear and you will be left alone to carry the burden of your past actions.
