How has Jonathan's PhD benefited Nigerians? He's got PhD but has the brain of an SSCE holder. Is the presidency about ur academic qualifications?
Clarke even accused Lamido of stealing Jigawa state's fund ,what happened to Alamiyeisigha that stole much more? Did Jonathan not pardon him? When has stealing become a criminal offence? Did Jonathan not say stealing is not corruption?

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Travels Abroad For Medical Treatment by ideycraze:
Sincere9gerian: The leader of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is reported to have travelled abroad for medical treatment.

http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/akande-ogbeh-baraje-jostle-for-apc-bot-chair/187293/

Tinubu was governor of Lagos state for 8 years after which his anointed successor and incumbent governor took over.

Tinubu is the leader of the APC, the major opposition party in Nigeria, which is making mouth watery promises, including healthcare reforms, if elected in 2015.

One would have expected Tinubu and his gang to atleast show the PDP how it is done by transforming the Lagos healthcare system or was 14 years not enough for Tinubu's party to do the needful in Lagos state?

Since Tinubu and his gang now travel abroad for medical care, what is the fate of the over 20 million Lagosians?

What is obvious is that Tinubu and his party do not trust the Lagos healthcare system they claim to have transformed in 14 years.
Has PDP not ruled Nigeria for 14 years too? How has the PDP transformed the Nigerian healthcare system?

+ PDP has got most of the least performing Governors in Nigeria. It seems they have a problem identifying good leaders.

Imagine endorsing candidates like Omisore and Fayose (Also considering Alao-Akala)......Now those are real daft choices from PDP.

If they have better candidates, no problem, they should field them but their current choices of leaders leave much to be desired.
PDP don't really care about the candidate they present as long as the candidate can win elections.

deeobserver209: APC getting what it deserves. cheesy They thought they can go about dragging every government institutions down into their dirty brand of politics.
DSS already knew their tactics. Which is: To behave unruly, commit crimes, break the law, and then cryout to high heavens when arrested. In the process taking advantage of the opposition party status to rubbish and portray the Federal Government as intolerant to the international community. For God sake what kind of Party is that? APC is synonymous with lies!

Go DSS. APC has taken the bait. Teach these guys a BIG lesson. I have never seen a political party that won an election and still go about wining.
I said it yesterday and I will say it again APC is a Useless Party.
If APC is useless what do you then call the PDP ?
Your type of partisanship sucks. Who calls APC useless and PDP a saint when it's clear both parties are peopled by greedy politicians that care only about what they get and not the masses.

PoliticsRe: No Bomb Blast Since After APC Victory In Osun State - DSS Spokesperson by ideycraze: 7:05am On Aug 15, 2014
Sincere9gerian: We got here because of your party, the APC. If Lai Muhammed did not attack the DSS, the DSS spokesperson would not have made all those informations public. The DSS only returned fire to a political party with penchant for mischief and crying foul at every slightest opportunity.

If a bird flew northwards on election day, the APC will cry foul. If the same bird flew southwards, the APC will cry foul. What can be done to satisfy your masters in APC?

Kill APC today and over 50% of Nigeria's problem would disappear automatically.

We need an opposition party no doubt but not one in the mode of APC. APC is EVIL

PoliticsRe: No Bomb Blast Since After APC Victory In Osun State - DSS Spokesperson by ideycraze:
Sincere9gerian: I love the DSS spokesperson. Lai Muhammed met his match in the DSS spokesperson. Lai Muhammed started attacking the DSS for no just cause but I'm sure he has gotten more for himself and his party than he bargained for. Next time, Lair Muhammed should be able to tame his leaky mouth. He is not the only Nigerian that can speak good English or make INSINUATIONS.

The DSS spokesperson was only defending the good work the DSS has been doing for our country. Politicians should leave the DSS out of their dirty politics.

Meanwhile, after the APC lost the Anambra election, they called for the sack of Prof Jega and disbandment of INEC. That same Prof Jega and INEC has now declared APC the winner in Osun. I wonder what becomes of all the allegations APC made against INEC and Prof Jega after the Anambra election, allegations the party could not substantiate in any court of law till date?

It would appear that APC seeks to destroy every public institution in Nigeria because of insatiable selfish political ambitions of a few cabal. APC leaders are power drunk and everything about the party is disgusting.
For God sake when are u going to grow up? You hate anything APC,u don't care what they say or do.
In your own right senses do you think Maryln Ogar should be seen to say such unprofessional rubbish?
If APC makes insinuations, should DSS be seen to be doing same?
When are u going to stop being partisan and face issues the way they are?

HealthLagos Ebola Patients Neglected,critically Ill – Relatives,colleagues by ideycraze(op): 11:49pm On Aug 14, 2014
Relatives and associates of the female medical doctor and other health workers who contracted the Ebola Virus Disease from the late Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer, share the gloomy experiences of the victims with TEMITAYO FAMUTIMI and AFEEZ HANAFI.

"Go there yourself and witness firsthand the condition under which they are being taken care of,” Dr. Helen Boyo-Ekwueme charged at one of the journalists inquiring about the welfare of the health workers battling with Ebola, at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, Yaba, Lagos.

The atmosphere was tense. Relatives and professional colleagues of the female medical doctor and other health workers, who contracted the disease from the late Liberian- American, Patrick Sawyer, had gathered to brief journalists at a press conference which held in Ikoyi, Lagos. Boyo-Ekwueme, a pathologist, and one of the concerned relatives kept on laying emphasis on the fact that the female medical doctor must not be left to die.

Noting that the press conference was not called to trade blames with the Federal Government or the Lagos State Government, she painted a picture of utter neglect of the female doctor and her medical colleagues who have been placed in isolation at the IDH. The pathologist who claimed to have been to the IDH in company with other family members and professional colleagues alleged that the Ebola patients were not been properly looked after. Arguing that proper basic treatment and immune boosting drugs that can be of help to the patients were generally lacking, she concluded that only “international help” could make them live a little longer.

She lamented, “We are not fighting anybody. We are simply giving voice to the voiceless. Those people in isolation at the IDH cannot voice out these concerns. Let them have basic treatment. It
shouldn’t be as if we just stood there and abandon them and watch them die one by one. “They are human beings. That female doctor is a patriotic Nigerian and she needs to be helped. You people (journalists) should go there and see the surroundings where they are being treated. You would wonder if these are human beings who still have relatives. “They are just being left on their own. Nobody is counselling them. They are just there as if they have been forgotten. We should remember that they didn’t ask to contract Ebola and it can happen to anybody. We are appealing for international help for these health workers.”

Spokesperson for the group of seven concerned family members and colleagues of the Ebola victims, Dr. Ladi Okuboyejo, buttressed Boyo-Ekwueme’s claims stating that people including medical personnel deployed were now running away from the ailing victims. Explaining that the Ebola outbreak was beyond the capacity of the scary Nigerian physicians, Okuboyejo insisted that the conditions under which the Ebola victims were being looked after was appalling. Okuboyejo, a medical practitioner, stated that there was a dearth of requisite drugs and basic medical supplies needed by the victims adding that the poor general sanitary condition of the isolation facility was despicable.

“If a health facility doesn’t have light, doesn’t have water and the sanitary system is not working properly then we have got a problem. Now the patients are critically ill and their condition is getting worse by day. People, including some medical personnel, are now running away from them.

“The reality is that the disease is beyond our capacity to handle in this country. The international
community needs to rise up to our aid. The victims are not being properly treated. Forget that the Nigeria Medical Association is on strike, we cannot handle it,” he stated.

But as the concerned associates of the Ebola victims lamented the state of affairs with their loves ones at the press conference, a close family source confided in one of our correspondents that the American doctor had been the one personally footing the bill for the purchase of basic medical supplies for the victims. The family source who preferred anonymity stated that a long list of medical and general need items presented to the authorities by the foreign physician had yet to be supplied.

“Where is the $12m the Federal Government said it released to fight Ebola. Remember that the matron and the ECOWAS protocol officer are already dead. Do they want all of them to start dying one after the other,” the source added.

As they took turns to address journalists, another immediate family member of one of the patients, Deji Akinyanju, drew the microphones to himself and began his own round of lamentation. Akinyanju who declined to name her ailing relative, stated that the feedbacks he has got from the isolation centre showed that the Ebola victims’ health was fast deteriorating. He alleged that the Nigerian physicians working with the American WHO expert were those with little or no experience in managing the highly contagious disease. With a note of disappointment in his voice, Akinyanju, who said he had been visiting his critically ill relative at the IDH stated, that the WHO expert have also highlighted the need for more experienced hands to help salvage what remains of the health of the isolated health workers.

“There is a need for more medical personnel that will help look after them. Certain immune booster could also have been easily given to them. We are just concerned family members. But from what we have seen we think more can be done to help them,” Akinyanju said.

When contacted, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, was unavailable for comments. His telephone line rang out when one of our correspondent
contacted him. Also, a text message sent to him, was not replied to as at press time on Thursday.

PoliticsFashola Blasts Jonathan Over Chibok Girls Invitation by ideycraze(op):
Lagos State Governor, Mr.
Babatunde Fashola, SAN, on
Thursday faulted President Goodluck
Jonathan, for inviting parents of
abducted Chibok schoolgirls to the
Presidential Villa for the purpose of
sympathising with them.He
described the development as lack
of empathy, saying Jonathan’s
leadership style “has re-defined
empathy by inviting the bereaved
parents to the presidential villa for
commiseration.”Fashola stated this
in Abuja while delivering a lecture on
‘The challenge of Democratic
Governance’ as part of activities to
mark the 50th birthday celebration
of a former Governor of Bayelsa
State, Chief Timipre Sylva. He
insisted that Jonathan’s attitude was
“Truly strange and Truly
unAfrican”He asked, “How does this
sound? ‘Hello neighbour, I heard
you lost your child to abductors.
Please come and see me at home so
I can sympathise with you’.“This is
my paraphrasing of what has so far
transpired. As if this was not bad
enough, the event had been
followed by another round of lies
about whether or not they tried to
give money to the bereaved parents.
For me, it’s a low point for
leadership, it suggests lack of
empathy.”According to him, “The
first lie when the news of the
abduction broke was that all the
abducted girls had been retrieved.
When that was exposed, the next lie
was to raise doubts whether they
were truly missing. “When that was
not enough, they are now telling us
that they know where the children
are. We are prayerfully waiting that
they will bring the children home.”
Fashola, who had earlier canvassed
for the active involvement of the
elite in politics in order to provide
necessary professional skill to drive
the nation’s development, said,
“Until recently, we all used to think
that our national development was
inhibited by the fact that we never
had a university graduate as leader
of any national government in an
executive capacity.“This perhaps
alludes only faintly to the issue of
the elite consensus, but it is not the
same. Thankfully, the myth of
graduate leadership as desirable as
it is, has been exploded now.“We
have two graduates (one zoologist
and an architect) and I think the
majority of Nigerians will tell you
today that their lives are worse off
than they were four years ago.“So
there is more to leadership than a
university degree and educational
qualification. There is character,
vision, courage, empathy,
compassion and many more
attributes that you simply will not
find in a classroom or school. They
are in homes, in communities and
also in the value system of
society.”Fashola therefore
encouraged politicians to make
politics interesting and worth being
participated in by the professional
elite.He said, “Distinguished ladies
and gentlemen, it is still regrettable
that the majority of the members of
our political parties and politicians
do not yet include the critical elite of
our society.“Whether we like it or
not, history has shown that the elite
of any society, especially its
professional cadre, and the very best
of them decide the direction of the
nation when they come to a
consensus about the pathway for
their nation, even if they belong to
different political parties.Where are
all the people who have built things
with their hands in our society?
Where are the founders of the big
banks, businesses, telecoms in our
body politic? Are they just content to
finance and yet remain unwilling to
take the plunge?“Are they willing to
identify with the ruling party in
Abuja, and the party in Government
in their states when they get to their
bases for fear of reprisals?” he
asked.
