In November 2008 and again in February 2009, the Chairman of the House Committee on Police Affairs, Abdul Ahmed Ningi, asked Mike Okiro to provide details of the money recovered from the former IGP Tafa Balogun, a request that he passed on to the EFCC chairman, Mrs Farida Waziri. However, the EFCC stated that they did not have records of the exact properties recovered from Balogun.[9] In April 2009, the House of Representatives Committee on Police Affair invited Tafa Balogun, Mike Okiro and Mrs Farida Waziri to explain how the N16 billion allegedly recovered from Balogun got missing.[10] The money was never recovered. Shortly before his retirement in July 2009, the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) accused Mike Okiro of failing to repay a N166 million loan he obtained between 2000 and 2001 from the Lead Bank Ltd, which unable to recover the loan from Okiro, was thus forced into liquidation.[15] Okiro used a front company Hekiro Limited for the bank loan, as he had used in the Abuja land deal of 2008. Okiro was said to have obtained the loan to finance a pipeline contract awarded by Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) to his firm Hekiro Nigeria Limited.[16] Okiro threatened court action against the NDIC unless it tendered an unreserved apology, but the NDIC maintained their position. In 2008, Okiro again used his front company, Hekiro Limited, to buy a parcel of land at 795 Cadatral Zone in Gudu District Abuja from Igwe Godwin Madu, for N130 million, of which he deposited of N70 million. He then refused to pay the balance. He used the Nigerian Police Force to harrass the seller to forego the outstanding amount. Madu then went to court but Okiro refused to show up in court and enter a defense. Instead, Okiro invited Madu to come to Louis Edet House, the national police headquarters, to force Madu to sign the "deed of assignment" for the land.[18] Okiro filed a defense claiming that the land seller had refused to sign the deed of assignment. The judge then adjourned the case to request Madu to appear in court to sign the deed and collect the remainder of the payment from the IGP. But again Okiro did not turned up and the judge awarded a ruling in favor of the plaintiff. Okiro was instructed to pay the balance of N50 million and interests accrued at prevailing market rate. Okiro put his children as directors of another front company Bharmoss Ventures Limited, a company in which his children were directors - Yvonne Okiro, Omolara Okiro, Innocent Okiro and Samuel Okiro, and Dickson Ibikunle. The company was registered in October 1993 and for their personal addresses in Bharmoss Ventures Ltd registration, the Okiro's children used 18 Ladejobi Street, Ikeja, Lagos. That is the official residence of the deputy commissioner of police in charge of administration in the Lagos Police Command, Ikeja. At that time, Mike Okiro was holding that same post. When Bharmoss Ventures Ltd was registered in 1993, some of his childred-directors were barely older that 10 years old.[19] In 2004-2005, Bharmoss Ventures received huge unspecified contracts from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) On Jan 27, 2009, online news media Sahara Reporter reported that Mike Okiro was accused of scamming potential police recruits of N2 billion, out of the sum realized from N2000 charged each potential recruit who applied online. A committee of the House of Representatives recently learnt that Okiro planned to pay 60% of the realized amount to consultants. The consultancy fees amount to N1.2 billion Nihi Ribadu, the former EFCC boss and a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, had told a London court that James Ibori was instrumental to Mike Okiro’s appointment as IGP, a claim Mr. Okiro debunked, accusing the former EFCC boss of falsehood. According to Ribadu, the former Delta State Governor, James Ibori, helped Okiro to secure his appointment as the IGP. Ibori also helped Okiro to be appointed as Chief Security Officer to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and later as Chairman of the Police Service Commission, PSC.[24] |
When a former IG is caught stealing, then we are in a big mess in this country. Who are we then to trust? Okiro should be in his 70s,i guess. Anyways, old men steal too....Okiro should not just return the money he should face the wrath of the law...at least he wont be the first former IG that would be jailed |
This is sad, may God punish all those who perpetrated this evil act |

This country is a joke,a man who is supposed to be in jail has now resorted to threatening Nigerians . Why has TB Joshua not said anything about his illegal act of building a six storey instead of the four-storey he got approval for? If some of his members are blind to what he did wrong some of us are not. No amount of threat would stop us from saying the truth. |
The founder of the Synagogue Church of all Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua, has claimed that he saw a vision of the incident that killed at least 115 persons in the church guesthouse. The victims, mainly South Africans, died when a six-storey guesthouse belonging to the church caved in on September 12. The embattled clergyman, who said he knew something tragic was to befall his ministry, noted that he prepared his parishioners on how to handle the tragedy. In a statement posted on the SCOAN’s official Facebook page, TB Joshua warned his critics against accusing him of failing to foresee the disaster that befell his ministry. “For those who are outside the Lord, they would not know. When you are outside God, you will not know what I am talking. When you are outside the light, you cannot understand what I am talking. “For the three weeks before the incident, if you heard my message and sat down, you would know I was giving you a vision and prophetic word on how to handle the situation at hand. Trials and tests are for our belief. I go by the directives of God,” TB Joshua claimed. Accusing his critics of being “used by Satan,” the televangelist said they were just out to “disturb” the faith of his local and international members with “negative words.” According to him, all the “Satanic agents” criticising him over the circumstances surrounding the incident, would soon “suffer for it.” Since none of his critics is unable to help him raise the victims from death, TB Joshua argued that they should stop rubbishing his ministry or risk paying dearly for it. Those who could not stop what happened (building collapse), he said, should be “careful of their tongues” as “anybody can go for it. “I have been on this journey for 27 years. Do you think God can close His eyes and rubbish everything here? They are asking God to bring more evidence of whether He is the one who called me. Warn everyone to be very careful. This issue at hand is a delicate issue. “People are using this to gain money and friends. This is a warning. Whatever people want to write let them write; they will be the ones to read it. I said our God would get back to them. He has started somewhere. He is coming. If your brother is involved, unless he can resurrect the people who died, he will join them. If you can resurrect the people who died, you can go free. “The servants, the people who sent them; the people who heard the stories all around and those who want to use it for themselves and to disturb my spirit, you may likely join them. Be careful. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Let us be very careful with our tongues,” he warned. Urging those questioning his calling not sway his followers, he added that they should extend love and affection to the victims and relations of those involved in the tragedy. The prophet insisted that the 115 victims were martyrs, adding that their relations would see the continuation of the work of God “they died and suffered for. “Your responsibility is to the victims and the relations of the victims and martyrs of faith. If you say you are born again, wherever the victims and their relations are, wherever the relations of the martyrs of faith are, look for them. Let them know you are praying for them. What you eat; let them eat it. “What you wear; let them wear. What you have on your table, let them have it on their tables, too. Share what you have with them – your love, prayer, affection and strength. Share it with them at this time. This is what we call ‘born again’ – my pain is your pain. Your joy is my joy. “The multitude of people who claim to be with T.B. Joshua in prayer – if the same people turn to the families of the victims and martyrs of faith, don’t you think life would be better for them than before? Join them; look for them, as many other things they are doing now,” TB Joshua added. |
I thank Mr Falana for coming out with the truth. CAN will soon label him an APC sympathiser. |

temi4fash: You don't need a prophet to tell you a building will collapse. Any structural defective building can or will collapse. You don't need to be a man of God to know that. If you don't have reasonable proof of why you think is fake I think you should find better things to do with your time. But you need a prophet to tell you a plane would crash. Shame on you |

The only thing Jonathan is aware of ,as of today, is the fact that presidential elections would be held on the 14th of Feb,2015. |
The All Progressives Congress on Wednesday described the order by President Goodluck Jonathan for the removal of the #BringBackJonathan campaign bill boards as belated. The party however described the order as a good first step but that it fell short of what Nigerians expected from the President. The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said this in a statement he issued via an e-mail from London. The party described the #BringBackJonathan as a mockery of the #BringBackOurGirls hash tag that had helped to call global attention to the fate of the over 200 girls who were abducted by Boko Haram almost five months ago and remain in captivity. According to the statement, the President made a mockery of his administration and his country by waiting for international condemnation of the “shameless and brazen usurpation of the #BringBackOurGirls hash tag before issuing the directive for it to stop.” The statement partly read, “Had the US newspaper, Washington Post, not written a stinging editorial skewing the Jonathan administration for appropriating the BringBackOurGirls hash tag for his re-election, the “administration would have continued its brazenness without regards to the feelings of the parents of the girls or indeed the Nigerian people. “Again, the administration has waited for a global opprobrium before doing what is right.” The party noted that it took an international media campaign before the Jonathan administration acknowledged, after all of 19 days that the Chibok girls were missing in the first instance. It also recalled that the President only agreed to meet with parents of the abducted girls after the intervention of the 17-year-old Yousafzai Malala. It equally noted that the President eventually insulted the grieving parents by inviting them to Abuja, instead of going to visit them in their abode. The party also said belated as the President’s recent directive was, it remained a good first step that must be quickly followed by another directive ordering the “so-called” Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria, to immediately stop its offensive rallies. APC stressed that the TAN rallies, which have assaulted the sensibilities of Nigerians, did not take into account the security challenges currently facing the nation. “Nigeria is in a state of war, a state of anarchy, a state of loss never witnessed since the end of the unfortunate civil war in 1970. “Terrorists are capturing towns after towns and hoisting their flags over the seized territories. Our troops are engaged in an epic battle to ward off the terrorists,” the party added. The APC further explained that “our people are being daily slaughtered by the marauding terrorists. And Ebola is very much here with us as such, this cannot be time for festivities.” It maintained that the rallies embarked upon by TAN insulted the troops who were battling Boko Haram, Nigerians who were fervently praying for the unity of the nation, as well as families of our citizens who were being mowed down daily by Boko Haram. The APC enjoined President Jonathan to engage in some form of introspection and realise that he could only preside over a country that remains whole, not one that had been fractured or bombed out of existence by terrorists. Also speaking on the Presidential directive, human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), described the use of the #BringBackJonathan2015 sign by President Jonathan’s second term campaigners as a mockery of national tragedy. http://www.punchng.com/news/campaign-banners-removal-order-directive-belated-says-apc/ |
The most foolish way to hide Jonathan's incompetence |
Doyin 'The Lying' Okupe has gone into hiding. An old man that reasons and talks like a 6-year old |
Yeah,it took Malala's visit for Jonathan to give Chibok parents his audience It also took Washington Post to write a piece for Jonathan to order the removal of the #bringbackgoodluck2015 campaign posters. Our president is truly a listening president ,only that he listens only to foreigners |
