May be you got me wrong but I never said PHP was not a programming language, All u mentioned above are client side scripting technologies with the exception of PHP which is a server side scripting full stack programming language. I never deviate from my point. The impression you were trying to portray was that HTML and CSS were programming languages that's why I've been trying to clear it out. If we are both saying the same thing then why the argument in the first place? Is there any wrong in saying HTML, CSS and Js are not programming languages but more of like the Abcd of programming most especially for the web? How can u work in php without embedding html for the web? Pls check my entire posts from the beginning I can never say Php is not a programming language when I am the product of php as my 1st language. It's all good though, anything that happens, happens 4 d best. May we went thru this to ignite or spur somebody else's curiosity which might be the foundation of a future great programmer, who knows?

Sure, you're right. Just like Python, perl, et al., these languages you mentioned are general-purpose programming languages and scripting languages. You're correct I based my argument on HTML. Who on earth would say the almighty 'PHP' aint a programming language? It is, so as it is a scripting language. The debate is still On as for python sha. By the way,by simple definition,to program means to give a command that is understood by the end side machine or server or whatever it is is the receiver,and such command or set of instructions is carried out.

I can't call them programming languages because they can program stuffs for me. Programming languages: PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, C++, C#, ASP, ASP.NET, C, GO, SCALAR etc

Scripting technologies: HTML, CSS and Javascript but javascript can be used to develop any program because it's wide and can be called a programming language ( sometimes) while jQuery is just a frame work of javascript or better still, call it javascript library. I'm really impress wit ur skills in building websites that's absolute brilliant!
