We always believe government is about now, so when a government comes in and empties foreign reserve to pay fuel importers and fill the pocket of polity members and cabinet members, we herald them as the best but in actual fact they created the problem the present administration is now facing. Now we would had needed the foreign reserve the most, income is low but no. They eat all they made during their four years tenor, eat all the OBJ managed to leave behind during his eight years rule and so that they can make caricature of the APC.

The Army is also involved here !

The army has always been involved.  They will always be called in.  The army is not an investigative body, atleast not for civil unrest.  The only duty they will perform as they always do is to victimize the remaining people who were not slaughtered.  It will only serve to add to the hardship of an already injured people.  The perpetrators of these inhuman acts are not angles, they are human and they leave clues.  Proper investigation will fish them out but no one will want to waste time on such.  I mean who wants to waste time on a few people slaughtered over a desert land.  if this had been in the niger delta, surely we will be expecting to see another Udi soon.   

If i were a parent, i will not allow my child or ward venture into the north for service.  How many corpers have lost their lives for a worthless goal?  what has been done to ensure that more corpers posted to the north are not ruthlessly slaughtered?  To what benefit is the youth service to the country if the major aim of promoting unity is not being achieved?  Last year i lost a cousin who was on a promotional course to Maiduguri.  He was serving his nation but he did an unceremonious death and no one cared that he died.

Our government is not organized enough to know what to do.  The people are too cowardise to stand up for what they know or believe to be fact.  every year, corpers loose their lives in the north, yet year after year more are sent to their death and no one has the nerve to complain.  Last week we all saw pictures of people who were smashed to death because they did not have to give to robbers, someone pointed out "but these people were not tied"  yes they were too scared to stand up to a fight.  the silly driver was too scared to say no the robbers.  hence we would trade almost fifteen lives for his own selfish self.  it did not occur to the passengers that if they had broken out and run for it, perhaps they would had had a chance of an escape. 

The average nigerian is held in boundage of fear.  Retaliation would not ease the problem in the north, it will only end when the people have the nerve to stand up and say no to a non functional government.

why do we complain when the US brands us a terrorist state?  when fulani herdsmen start carry automatic or semi automatic, then there is more to it than meet the eye.  Islam has been branded a terrorist religion across the globe, though i am not a moslem but i will say this is not true.  My best friends are moslems, most of the best people I know are from the middle belt and I can tell you that some of them are as much victims of these crisis as  you and I.  

Our main  problem are our leaders.  The government.  Unemployment in the north coupled with the unchecked infiltration of nigeriens and chadians into the country has helped to fuel the unrest in the north.  A few notorious old men hide under the guise of religion to brain wash these unambitious youths and use them as a tool to perpetrate these crisis. What has been the result of investigations into previous unrest?  who has ever been persecuted for sponsoring or masterminding the unrest?  who has ever taken time to dig into the root of the problem?  what measures are put in place to check illegal immigrants especially from these extremist countries like chad and niger?

Nothing.  Absolutely nothing.  In a few days time, this will also be swept under the carpet and we will have to await the next uprising.
