Crime › Re: Suspected Bariga Cultists Paraded In Lagos (pictures) by idupaul: 11:28pm On Jan 25, 2016 |
kingbee109: This is good but the police is not doing a complete job. Why? This cultists have rival called the DownTown boys. The Down Town boys are never arrested, why? Are the police biased? Before this boys burnt the said house, the DownTown boys who are based around Abule Oja and Abule Ijesha orchestrated a stealth kill of two members of these arrested boys on Friday 22-2016. The reason why the house was razed down is what I don’t know but the police should do a complete job by arresting both sides. All of them are evil and deadly.
There are still many of them inside ebute Ilaje and their activities is disturbing the sand business in ebute Ilaje. Anytime any Tipper is driving along Abule Oja or Abule Ijesha and the DownTown boys accost them on the road, it means trouble for the tipper driver and its passengers, as money and other valuables would be forcefully extorted by these evil DownTown boys
To me, these boys are easy to arrest because mere looking at them, one would know them. And they most times carry small bag across their shoulder. The bag they carry is what they use to carry gun up and down.
My pain is that these boys would be released once the police see money. Five of these boys were arrested last year by the Eleweran police command in Ogun state for stealing a car. Now the five people arrested are now walking free in Ebute Ilaje Bariga Lagos. What happened? Has the case been swept under the carpet? Or the court of law of competent jurisdiction discharged and acquitted them? I guess not. Just yesterday, 24-01-2016, the police patrol van stationed in Ebute Ilaje Bariga to patrol the area left the place and immediately, the cultists started their usual Sunday meeting. They sang loudly, clapped repeatedly and danced. And just immediately the cultists finished their meeting, the police van returned to its normal parking place. Was that a coincidence? Or planned? Let's check it: what can give gut to cult boys to hold meeting in a place about 100 metres away from police patrol van? Let's assume the van coincidentally moved away, what confidence do they have to hold meeting in an area that's supposed to be constantly patrolled by the police? It was all planned, my people. The police is doing nothing! Absolutely nothing! They wine and dine with evil boys they are supposed to arrest! Who does that?! I’ve seen with my eyes where some top shots of this boys in Ebute Ilaje Bariga buy drinks and give money to the policemen that are supposed to arrest the same boys. It is an eyesore! Very backward! A breach of trust! Aiding and abetting criminals! There are many things I've seen and heard. I can't say it all. Only God can save us
I hope concerned authorities are reading this! Please help! This mayhem is scary and the residents including sand sellers and tipper owners in Ebute Ilaje Bariga are scared and don't know what to do. The police is doing nothing because they are encouraging it as a result of money they get from these devils. Please HELP!!! People like U need to contest elective office in that Bariga because U clearly have a good grasp of the issues there..respect |

tombraokoto: I'm not in anyway in support of the killing of this innocent little girl or anyone for that matter but if the truth must be said Nnamdi Kanu is to be blamed for the death of this little girl. It was his foolishness and incitement of hate speech that is gradually bearing fruits.
That fool called Kanu has the given the Nigerian army a reason to be in igboland. Nnamdi Kanu is the cause of everything currently going on in the SE. I only pity for the innocent igbos caught in between this madness. Dude are u sure it will be ever be well with U again. ..try to be sensitive because not every thing is politics |

Politics › Financial Times UK Calls ‘buharinomics’ The Height Of Foolishness by idupaul(op): 12:33am On Jan 23, 2016 |
Leading international business publication, The Financial Times UK has described the economic policies of the Buhari administration as the ‘height of foolishness’. Steve Johnson, Deputy editor of the FT’s EM Squared section wrote Copying Venezuela’s exchange rate policy and China’s failed equity market strategy might seen the height of foolishness. The entire article is reproduced here: Nigeria plans to create a $25 billion fund with public and private financing to modernize infrastructure and avoid a recession. Copying Venezuela’s exchange rate policy and China’s failed equity market strategy might seem the height of foolishness. But, at least in the opinion of John Ashbourne, Africa economist at Capital Economics, that is precisely what Nigeria, the continent’s largest economy, has just done. “Low oil prices are battering Nigeria’s export-dependent economy, but it’s the government’s market-distorting response that risks pushing the country into a Venezuela-style crisis,” Mr Ashbourne says. “Nigeria is sliding towards a Venezuela-style FX regime and adopting a Chinese-style stock market circuit breaker. Neither will reassure foreign investors, many of whom seem to be eyeing the exits.” Both measures were announced after markets closed on Friday, January 15. The circuit breaker on the Nigerian stock exchange, one of the worst performing in the world this year with a fall of 17.7 per cent, will pause trading for 30 minutes if stock prices fall 5 per cent. Trading will cease for the day if it is triggered twice in a session, or after 1.45pm. This month, Beijing abandoned a similar policy after just four days, concluding that in a falling market the existence of the circuit breaker encouraged more selling as traders rushed to exit while they could. Politics › Re: Nigerians: We Don't Live In Paradise And We Know It by idupaul: 12:37pm On Jan 20, 2016 |
NavierStokes: Tell em. Exactly the reason why corruption thrives in our society. Lets look at this scenario: a man buys a plot of land in say an undeveloped area, creates access roads by himself, digs a well and sinks a borehole to provide water for his site's development, builds his house by himself, buys the electric poles and draws the line to his house by himself, and if possible organizes with neighbours to buy a transformer, buys a generator to provide his electricity then contributes for the local vigilante plus still sends his kids to private school because of the inadequacies associated with most public schools, and also takes care of dependent relatives (unemployed plus not well to do) that should otherwise be taken care of by the government, still has his taxes deducted by his employers and someone sits abroad to say such a man is living in paradise. Which of us will be happy paying for services that are not rendered. The government is running after contractors today for contracts paid for but not executed, do they know they are also in a "social contract" with the citizenry of which they are failing in their part of the agreement. All my years living abroad i never felt bad about paying the taxes, but here in Nigeria "i swear e dey pain me die".
If one is self sufficient and salary doesnt take into account provision of all these amenities, then you find people looking for every means to meet up. Or who would say he has ever received a salary that makes provision for connecting electricity, or maintaining the road to his residence? Don't mind that man joor..that thread was really annoying. .it really provoked me..paradise in deed ....the senseless guy doesn't know that till recently PHCN gave me a bill of 30k every month for light I never saw and they ate the money I paid for prepaid meter and I had to get another through some extortion route because I was so tired of paying 30 k for light I don't see . |
