Politics › Re: NNPC Is Now 'northern Nigeria Petroleum Company' - Nigerians Slam Buhari by idupaul: 2:21pm On Jul 05, 2016
plaetton:
Whereas the above statement may be construed as being tribalistic, the GLARING FACTS of Nigeria's sordid history ATTESTS to it's VERACITY.

That both OBJ and GEJ united Nigeria by running truly pan-Nigerian administrations where merit took priority over tribe really really annoyed the northern elites.

That both OBJ and GEJ expanded the middle class ( dominated by southerners) really really annoyed the northern elites.

That both the OBJ and GEJ invested so much on education , Northern education especially, was taken as an unforgivable insult to the northern feudal elites.
How dare OBJ and GEJ remind them of the their glaring failures against their own people.

The irony is that the type of hatred that the northern elites have GEJ or anything related to GEJ administration is oddly directly proportional to the high level of attention GEJ paid to northern education and economic development.

Again, this might appear like a tribalistic rant, but let's do away with the political correctness and call a spade a spade. After all, Buhari and brethren have absolutely NO pretences about political correctness or their agenda.

Let's take a minute and reflect, for those old enough, that anytime things appear to be getting good in Nigeria , the northern elites intervene to take us back a few decades.

Look back at 1983, when this same Buhari committed treason against his fatherland by overthrowing a Democratic government, a growing and maturing democracy.
What happened to Nigeria thereafter ? undecided

Let's look back at 1993 when the whole nation united and voted for a new Democratic government, MKO Abiola.
Again, what happened next?
The same northern elites scuttle that peaceful transition that would have united Nigeria in more ways than imagined.

Then came Abacha, and the tyranny of that feudal Despot took Nigeria back another 2 decades.

Was it an accident that after POWER shifted to the South for the better part of the last 16years, that our economy began to grow, debts paid off, boost in education, boost in agriculture, boost in trade, the largest economic expansion since the colonial days, the largest expansion of the middle class ( the backbones of any economy) since the colonial era ? huh

Wow!
And what an odd coincidence (?) that the same Buhari is back, and is quickly taking Nigeria back to the LOCUST years, the years of hunger, despair and desolation.

What an odd, but very very sad coincidence indeed.

Kachikwu effectively becomes the official errand boy of the petroleum ministry. Minister of state and chairman of NNPC board are powerless offices. When the new GMD needs anything, all he has to do is to go directly to the minister of petroleum, PMB. He can't take any instructions from Kachikwu. After all, Kachikwu has fixed the products supply problem & initiated the new price regime. So it's time for an aboki to take over & continue.
Make no mistake Kachikwu has been relegated worse than an errand boy ,he has been politely told to resign and leave the govt ..and as per the fuel supply problem please expect it it to return because Northerners thrive when there is chaos in the system. .that's how they survive ..when thing work properly the north never likes it . The love making things scarce so they can thrive on black markets that will rise

Trackers and other security gadgets are very important, not to be joked with. CCTV installation would have been good too, at least, release the video of the theft online, the thieves may panic. Who knows if the thief is even someone who is well known to the family.
My place is completely CCTVed but with the epileptic power supply it's almost like a waste of money sitting down really not capturing anything

Cool but they will device a new way of forcing victims to withdraw for them. The best solution is to build a reliable police institution. We need to build institution and not men.

Few months ago a man's picture was shared on twitter taking money from the victim's account. That was the last we heard, same guy was part of the one chance syndicate that attacked me last year. The team has been operating for the past two years along ikorodu road and apapa-oshodi axis yet no concrete response from the police. We need a vibrant police and not this "jeun jeun" boys.
That guy has been caught ..the same twitter user revealed it

Greatihex:
I remember during one of Gej's media chat during his tenure as president when he said that corruption is not Nigeria's no. 1 problem, according to the survey they conducted among journalists. Then, many Nigerians called for his head, accusing him of being clueless and corrupt. Fast forward to 2016, Buhari is now president and has been claiming to be fighting corruption. All can now see the situation of the country, then comes the million dollar question; is corruption Nigeria's no 1 problem?
Right now our number 1 problem is Buhari

solid3:
This is actually inevitable even if GEJ had won. This is due to the wastfulness of the GEJ administration and also a sharp decline in oil revenue.

Also GEJ failed to diversify which is what PMB is working on
Please this now beyond GEJ'S incompetence it's now as result of Buhari's lack of vision and organization ..Give South Korean Economy to Buhari today and he will also put it in a recession in just 6 quarters
