Watching the Ethiopia vs Nigeria match on sunday was quite interesting with high adrenaline rush in people's hearts...following the kind of play displayed by the eagles in the 1st half and the goal by the ethiopians in the 2nd half,i quickly observed people's reactions in the viewing centre...some people were cursing the players, others were cursing keshi, some other people started supporting ethiopia while some wished they were watching a championship match instead of wasting their time watching the "lazy eagles".....but immediately Emenike did his magic....the super eagles became the best team in the world, everybody started praising keshi and when the penalty was scored, the shout was deafening....the most vibrant ethiopian-supporter<a Nigerian> had 2 run away cos everybody now started taunting him with songs....i thank God we didnt loose shaaaa....cos wahala 4 dy!! I love Nigerian football fans,we are wonderful!! |

Next IG: Well, I've read through all the above comments. To the best of my Knowledge, it was just an allegation. The locals were complaining over the rampant cases of children being missing. Prior to this allegations, there is the notion that, Nigerians are in their country to take away or dominate their Economy. Being a Portuguese colony, they are bitter over the presence of so many Nigerians (an English colony though in the same sub_region) in their country. And you know, most of those Naija guys in Bissau are deportees or, those wishing to go to Europe by illegal means via Bissau but couldn't make it. Today, the Victim went to a particular area for his Business when those poverty stricken touts descended on this innocent man and lynched him without mercy. From there, they proceeded to the Nigerian Embassy where they destroy the windows and smashed the windscreen of a Jeep. This is all an allegation and, na one person dey kill wooo no be three as reported. The Security men (The local Police and the ECOWAS Peacekeepers) were able to restore normalcy to the city. Moreso, there is also the problem of their military men (Both retired and serving). Due to the forthcoming election (may be early next year), their military men were bent on either sabotaging the efforts of ECOWAS to restore the country to Democracy or, either make their anointed candidate win the election. Now, the presence of ECOWAS Peacekeepers is a great threat to those khaki men. They are the ones going about misinforming and instigating the locals about the presence of the Peacekeepers in their country. Hence, Naija being the Chief, her people are the target. some of ma compatriots ar stil sensible though!! Nice take on d issue! |

Mayor_of_Lagos: We dont need names to know these are Ibos. The Guinea Bissau people lamented in the news report that "enough is enough!" The kidnap has become a menace and they had enough.
Ibos are not looking for more population in their over populated land, so why are they snatching children off the streets everywhere? Simply for money rituals.
Instead of reflecting inward some mofos here are questioning our patriotism. My question is where is your moral conscience that the killing of a little child to Okija shrine does not prick you as disgusting and reprehensible.

Q.Mark: Guy, you got me wrong. And sincerely, you are right - Enugu is far bigger than my village and I would gladly accept a transfer from Lagos to Enugu if all my remunerations remain intact. [sub]I think with that, you can go get yourself a bottle of cold water.[/sub] It is not my fault that my village is smaller than Enugu, so I have no reason to start feeling sorry for myself or start trying to defend my village. No matter how hard I try, it can never be bigger than Enugu till I die. This simply says it is not a function of my hardwork.
Only a baby would assume there are less than 138 secondary schools in the entire Enugu State. My exclamation is on the number (138 + second batch + other batches) of sacked (plus to be sacked) principals as compared to the total number of schools.
I don't owe you this clarification, (so don't get too excited that your manner of approach works) but I owe millions of Nairalanders from Enugu who you might have succeeded in making them get a different meaning to my post (other than what was intended).
I don't have an atom of Igbo blood in me, but I love Enugu with all my heart. u ar good! |

In a country<continent> of 167million people according to 2012 stats, there are meant to be diverse views and opinions always. But the Nigerian situation is getting worrisome by the day, coupled with 2015 coming very close.Recently i've noticed that everything one says in this country is either viewed as tribal, religious, political, sentimental e.t.c.If something good/bad happens in the west, the easterners will start crying foul-play or finding loop-holes in it and the same thing happens when something good/bad happens in the east...same goes for the north,south-south,middle-belt e.t.c.does that now mean that a person cannot make a statement without siding a part of the divide? Does it mean that people no longer talk out of sheer knowledge or concern for a situation?.....why all these biased opinions/views? |
