Eneze1: congrats to the twins, for those saying its not possible to have that kind of grade in govt schools, well u have to make ur findings well. I finished from a fed school and during my set we had 9 first class students from my department including the overall best graduating student, while some departments can't even boast of 2.1
Did you do EE?

RomanceRe: Girls Can Call Themselves Pet Names But Guys Cant? by Ifems(m): 7:38pm On Sep 15, 2013
Baybe: I was just thinking, girls are allowed to call themselves pet names. Pet names not nick names. Nobody raises an eyebrow when a girl says to her fellow girl, 'hey hon', 'Sweetheart I missed you' or 'Babe I love your eyes'. Mind you, they are not lesbian partners. They are very straight.

A guy can't even compliment a fellow guy without people raising eyebrows. If a guy should just make the mistake of saying to a fellow guy, 'I like your eyes', everybody screams 'Gay Alert!!'

Why is this so?? undecided
When there is Mekus,Darlo,Troy,Murphy,Capone,Stone,Hova,Jaka,Tolon,Ifems,Urchman,Sinco, infact there is an endless list to choose from than to call a fellow HUSTLER babe...C'mon its weird, can't imagine that.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: LNG Recruiting by Ifems(m): 10:39pm On Sep 11, 2013
philips70: Sorry to hear about your ordeal but that is not the ideal situation with them. I can authoritatively tell you lots of staff got their job without knowing anyone. Moreover these are experienced positions and what you are talking about now mostly happens with entry level and IT placements. Yet many still get strictly on merit. Still no harm in trial for those who feel qualified. Might just be your turn to be uplifted and shine bright like a diamond. smiley
That's exactly what i thought of them prior to the ordeal but it really changed everything...I began to wonder...Are you saying the IT stuff was a mistake? The incident tells you that any person can experience it no matter the level.I truly love that industry, hence the company.Remember i said some of my friends also went through that,if you want contacts,am ready. Thanks anyway.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: LNG Recruiting by Ifems(m): 9:53pm On Sep 11, 2013
euphoria: @Ifems. Did you call them to enquire why you were not called?
...Yes,i did,a week, after my semester exams then at two weeks interval and the normal answer was 'we'll call you back when we are ready'...I bet you, most of them that got the IT placement didn't take the test.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: LNG Recruiting by Ifems(m):
60 percent of these positions had been taken and negotiated before the publication....A while ago, during my industrial training days.I sat for NLNG aptitude test, they called back to inform me that i passed the test, like they promised, only if we succeeded. Then they asked if i had an accommodation in Bonny Island and i was positive. They then said i would be called later and congratulated me.I never knew that would be the end of it,with great joy,i immediately stopped searching for IT placement, with strong hope and belief that i had got one. That when they call back it will be to inform me on when to start my training with them.We finished our first semester exams, which precedes the IT,stayed at home for two months still waiting for NLNG people to call me.Much to my chagrin,a friend of mine who knew that i was waiting for NLNG to commence my IT,was working at PH,called to tell me that his colleague's friend is already training with NLNG. Like i said ,i was stunned, devastated for a while, about a week, then resumed my IT placement search, which i thought i had got some months back.I didn't know what else to do than to take a vow that i must work at NLNG later in life and most of all to be an employer of labour.Imagine the kind of society we're living in,A PLACE WHERE ONE CAN'T BE GIVEN A FAIR CHANCE TO COMPETE.I wish all of the applicants success as they apply. It is not by power or might but by HE that WILLET
NB:I wasn't the only victim, three of my dept. mates also faced this ordeal

PoliticsRe: Chevron, Shell Pull Out Of Olokola LNG Project by Ifems(m):
edo.girl:
Nigeria is the second largest producer of liquefied petroleum gas in Africa, and the sixth largest producer in the world with over 3million metric tones annually. However, current per capita consumption of the gas in Nigeria is about 0.8kg/annum. This is the lowest in Sub-Saharan Africa; lower than those of Nigeria’s West Africa neighbours who do not produce the product. Annual LPG consumption is in Nigeria for 2010, was put at 120,000MT, whereas, in Lagos alone, there is a potential market for 1,000,000MT annually. Source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/07/natural-gas-importance-and-uses-2/

There you go about our per capita gas consumption. You see the problems we face in this country. You are an insider in the industry, yet you do not appear to be aware of the situation. For all we know, you could be a policy maker in the industry. No wonder the country keeps going around in endless circles.

I don't think I said anywhere that there is no potential for increased pas consumption. My argument is that real demand has been low, given the amount the country produces and was billed to produce. That's why I said, the multinationals are not going to sink in more of their money, hence why Brass (Bonny?) has not moved beyond train 2, and why they are pulling out of Olokola.

Perhaps you have different reasons as to why these projects have stalled.

Burying one's head in the sand and saying that all is well and rosy isn't going to get us anywhere. When other countries can see problems several decades ahead, we insist 'all is well and good.' Should we continue to produce gas, absolutely. Should we increase production when economics demand it, yes. Should we be looking to diversify our economy away from near-total dependence on oil. A bigger yes.
I don't think you're getting it right...LNG is the fuel of the future, thats what you got to understand. It has low effect on the ozone layer than any of these conventional fuels including the shale gas.If you say its not so profitable why are there new developments in LNG? 1.with subject to increased order for LNG ships, with estimated growth of about 1000 or more by 2020,.2.why are all these major OCs investing in Mozambique,Angola and Australia?.3.Why is the SHELL's FLNG,PRELUDE,making so much waves?don't tell me its phenomenal...The only reason OKLNG is about to die is its far distance from the shore which flouted LNG's plant situation rules.Remember the name LNG(liquefied natural gas),the natural gas is just turned to liquid for easy transportation,it would take 600 ships to transport gas equivalent to 1 shipload of LNG.Again the phenomenal shale gas would it not be transported?

The briton that was kidnapped in Lagos on Monday was the handiwork of the ibos, same with the wife of one honorable like that in one of the SW states.

PoliticsRe: Obi Awarded Best-Governor By The Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation by Ifems(m): 2:32pm On Jul 07, 2013
Babaek: he's point is dat ANIDS means Anambra Integrated Development Strategy. Its a program through which Peter Obi is developing all sectors simultaneously. Unlike other Governors, he's not focusing on cultivating flowers in Awka the state capital, instead he's developing rural communities so that no matter where u are u'll have access to facilities anywhere in the state.
...Did i hear you say developing rural communities?,listen, what did he develop?....My case study is Awka-north LGA,please have you been there before?,this is an LGA that has over 8 communities,a few KMs away from the state capital yet only one community can boast of a tarred road(mgbakwu precisely, which was not built by his administration). This LGA is more or less a river basin area that can produce enough farm produce for the state but there is no infrastructure to further the cause, yet our "Media hallowed" Gov does not realize the potential and complain of surge in food products.Do you know that a typical Ugbene man doing any form of business outside ugbene, say Awka, would leave whatever he is doing whenever he sees the clouds changing and run home, guess you want to know why?Its because he fears of his safety, either that the riverbank would over flow, automatically subjecting him to canoe usage or he forfeit sandman(ing)in his house that night. If you are taking a cadever home in Awba-ofemmili,at some point you'd have to put it in a canoe to reach your final destination, imagine a life like this,in this 21st century.Again you said developing all sectors simultaneously, what has he done on these sectors:POWER;virtually no power in Anambra,ENVIRONMENT:Anambra is one the most unkempt state as far as am concerned,AVIATION,no airport in Anambra. We are talking about an 8yrs tenure of no growth,a child born 8yrs back not growing at all!

You don't keep creating new things when the old ones are dying, you either resuscitate it or annihilate it ok.Make a brand strong before you diversify.BUS 101
PoliticsRe: Obi Awarded Best-Governor By The Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation by Ifems(m): 12:27pm On Jul 07, 2013
Zona.com:
My point is you definitely dont know what ANIDS is about else you would'nt have brought the TRACAS thing here. Understand something first before you comment about it. That you see ANIDS written on some buses does'nt make ANIDS a transport company
...So those are for what?Charity?abi?...If he wanted to develop all sectors simultaneously,ANIDS should have been a monitoring parastatal that ensures simultaneous state development not some other revenue generating thing.Think bro...What do you know
