A wonderful life. I can live and learn without feeling guilty. No obligation to worship some deity I know nothing about ,I see everyone as equal and unique without judging them for their sexuality,opinions etc. I can filter lies and think for myself. In fact my level of reasoning goes beyond that. I will leave it on religion for now.

And none of them will go near that church if they were well to do. Religion helps people console themselves that all will be well "one day". But unfortunately they become a pawn on the pastor's chessboard. Regardless of coming to church due to lack of money,the pastor still takes tithe and offering from them. They pay and get nothing in return but hope....

Have you been to China or India lately? I suggest you do and then tell them Christianity is on the decline. I wish you knew how statistics is gathered. Nigeria is known worldwide as being very religious as some believe in gods or God but so so infinitesimal are those who hold on to nothing but they eventually do at the end of the day. Your cousin whom you claimed you "converted" is obviously still a kid like you and will come around eventually same way Christopher hitchens converted his brother Peter Hitchens to atheism and Peter became more aggresive than Christopher but later found Christ and today is dismantling all that Christopher established.

No my cousin is 21 and has always been scared to own up to his disbelieve in religion. I made him realism religion is for poor people and he has no business being one of them. Religion takes from you and gives you nothing back.

I mean, your kids may well choose to be Christians or Muslims or Budhists even after teaching them to think. What matters is that you teach them to be rational and not tell them what to and not to think.

A well educated child will not see religion as a way of life but will rather see the world as full of challenges and will strive to survive. Set backs are normal,standing up after each fall is a must

If my child turns religious(which is almost impossible),that would be his choice.

A fight against an idea you claim has no real foundation right? So if this idea has no real foundation according to you why not leave it to implode or collapse by itself? Why fight the non existent? Why ridicule yourself by fighting an idea you claim has no source?

You have employed the means of countering this "idea" with your own "idea" called atheism and according to world statistics your atheism "idea" is on the decline. How so? Could it be that it has no roots and no foundations?

The "idea" called religion has been projected to grow exponentially by over 50% in the next 100 to 200yrs.....could this be because it does have a foundation?

You claim to be scientifically inclined so do us all a favour and scientifically evaluate this and post your findings.

Has anyone come to count the amount of Atheist in Nigeria? No statistic you bring up will be right, so enjoy your Christianity while it lasts. Its growing weak and extinct. I converted my lil cousin last week. In fact he was so happy to let god go. Imagine how many folks are waking up daily....maybe you too soon and we will be here talking about how you used to be a Christian. A bit of reality check is all you need.
