We understand that the need for intellectually stimulating contents is dying as a result of several anomalies. We thought of a place where one can have an intellectual and worthwhile stroll in the boulevard of amazing opinion piece, poetry, interview of young and promising Nigerians, collaboration with other writers, contribution from great writers, historic pictures, debate between two sides on begging issues, research works in different academic fields, great speeches as adjudged by history etc.

You probably did not meet Socrates on earth, but right here, even when Socrates was sentenced to death, you can read his speech which remains the greatest ever. A touching speech that has no equal. We are less than 2 months but our zeal to shape your perspectives through intellectual surgery is burning.

Selected thinkers, different fields, diverse views, ONE GOAL! We have the ability to see even through broken lenses. It is all about perspectives. How do you see it?

Your piece or content has an aura of class that is worth the feature? Contact us: editortheaterofperspectives@gmail.com

Very disingenuous talk. You don't want to be judged by your negative 1984 record, yet the ONLY so-called selling point of your presidential ambition is your 1984 perception of "integrity" and "incorruptibility"!

If you want us to remember you for your so-called incorruptible stance in 1984, why should we not also remember you for the undoubted tyranny and sadism you displayed in the same 1984? You can't pick and choose for us.

You want us to remember only what makes you marketable and forget the things that make you unmarketable! What a shameless hypocrite!

I'm not saying you are not correct o or you haven't brought up valid points. But are we prepared to keep quiet when and if BH continue operations if the incumbent administration is given another chance?

And for goodness sake, there are more than 2 political parties in this country. Where are all their presidential candidates?

Politics / Re: My Constable Will Arrest Any Errant Governor – Mbu by ifeojobas(f): 9:28am On Feb 13, 2015
Apart from this being a script from a low-budget Nollywood movie, isn't this the same superman that "allegedly" disrupted activites at a toll booth on the Ikoyi-Lekki bridge because him and his convoy were asked to pay the toll fee?

Oh please.

ishiamu:
The new Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2, Joseph Mbu, has warned that a constable in the zone will arrest any governor or politician, who conducts himself or herself in an unruly manner at the polling unit during the forthcoming elections.

He said this on Thursday in Abeokuta during his official visit to the Ogun State Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, while he was addressing the policemen in the command.

Mbu told the men of the command, who would be on electoral duty to keep an eagle eye on everyone coming to the polling units to vote, stating that anyone caught with arms should be arrested instantly.

He added that he was in the Ogun police command to encourage and advise his men ahead of the polls.

He said,  “I am here to encourage, support and advise you because we have a critical part to play in the forthcoming elections.

“Our actions and activities will go a long way to decide this election, so, I have come to tell you that we must remain impartial in ensuring free, fair, peaceful and violent-free polls.

“As far as the law is concerned, we are not going to respect anybody and whoever is coming to the booth should vote and leave peacefully.

“Anyone who comes there to campaign, even if it is the chief executive of the state, a constable at that polling booth would stop him.”

Mbu, who debunked the notion that he was sent to the zone to do a hatchet job in the forthcoming elections, said he had been a commissioner in Oyo, Ekiti, Rivers states and the Federal Capital Territory and the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 7, said the current posting was not in anyway different.

But he vowed to do his job, warning that his men wouldn’t look the other way if any electoral offence was being committed.

He said, “I am here to make sure everywhere is calm; I am not here at Zone 2 only for elections. The Zone 2 must not just fail during the elections.

“I am here to make sure everything goes on peacefully, but the police will arrest anybody that commits any electoral offences.

Anybody found with arms will be arrested by the police; and anyone that cannot be arrested, we will recover the arms by force.”

Talking about his face-off with the Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, Mbu said the media worked against him by giving prominence to the stories from the governor while they blanked him out.

He said, “I was not popular in Rivers State; you(media) made me unpopular in Rivers State. I was popular in Oyo State. I was popular in Abuja when I was CP of FCT and when I was AIG.

“In Rivers State, you people(media) were not hearing my side of the story; because the other party was richer, so you were not hearing my story.”

Thank you very much, my BRAIN is fully functional. Your argument is that her timing was wrong. Well, I brought up a related situation so YOU have no point.

The fact remains that the pastor was VERY wrong.

It seems you are having a bad day. Let's talk at a later time.

there is a time for everything, do you expect a primary school student to say amen to that type of prayer? Certainly no because he/she knows it is not for him/her. That is also the case of the girl, they are not even preparing for marriage and she is looking for fruit of the womb.

Did you read the story at all? Did you see "fiance" and "we have done some traditional rites"? What does primary school student have to do with this issue?

Firstly, a primary school student should shout amen when they are praying concerning jobs. Secondly, the lady in question is a fully grown adult, not a primary school student, neither did I make reference to one in my example

Wait o, if a grandparent or elderly person prays for us regardless of our age eg, you will see your children's children, you should not say amen (because you are not married or your children are still young? OYO!!!)

But seriously, we need to learn to pray regarding our future. Not only when there are problems.

This story sef, she is not married and she is looking for fruit of the womb.

So if you are doing NYSC and it's 2 months or a month to your POP, you are in church and pastor prays, "for those of you looking for a job, God will provide in Jesus name"

Saying Amen is wrong or points to a "past"?
