talk4free: Thanks bros. Unfortunately "they" won't realize that Dangote is purely a businessman. He won't care about the ethnic sentiments that some narrow minded people carry on their head when he makes business decisions. His decision to site the refinery in Lagos is 100% business related. He doesnt care about what any Hausa, Ibo or Yoruba man will think.
The refinery is sited in Lagos with direct access to the international waters. Meaning he can get his crude from suppliers from Liberia, Angola, Ghana etc. He doesn't necessarily need Nigerian crude, afterall it will be sold at market price to him and not subsidized. He can also sell his refiened product to whoever he likes, and if he needs to sell locally, lagos is the biggest market for petroleum product consumption. Lagos is investment friendly so his investment is secure and absent of the hostility of the niger delta. No host community will come block his gate 20 years after to claim their fathers shrine is crying underneath the plant. Lagos gives him easy access to international partners due to the international airports proximity.
The advantages are so numerous. As a smart businessman he took an excellent decision. Most people haven't wondered why he does much more investments in the south than in his own north. HE IS A BUSINESSMAN. He thinks of his business before he thinks of his tribe. All this your rant..we know complain abeg... Even if dangote site refinery for Atlantic ocean..no be our business. Na him business and money.. Make all investors run enter lagos...naija deltans no complain.. So why you guys opening this thread like say we care .. You guys can't seize to amaze someone.. Soon all of una dey concern about naija delta.. Hahahahahahah...see o.. Abeg make una face front..we wey dey ground no sane una and una lagos and dangote.. Na peoplewey d reply una..i believe say those once no be real naija deltans..because..we don't give a Bleep.. Maybe you ask your government m |

omonnakoda: The biggest refinery in the world is in India and if you look at the top 10 some are in Korea(TWO) and Singapore. Where do they get oil from ? The top chocolate manufacturers are in Europe where do they get cocoa from?? There is no rule that says Nigerian refineries must refine Nigerian oil. The US has more oil reserves than us but for years have bought our and kept theirs. The world is wide and a refiner goes for the cheapest available oil. That is not necessarily Nigerian. Sso au does it concern, naija delta... Why do you guys always have big eyes for naija delta.. Shebi na our we go drink and na our land d spoil.. Au e take dey pain una... Dangote dey built world class refinery for lagos..and lagos d export crude.. Au e take be our business.. If we drink our crude tomorrow..how e take concern una.. You guys are simply envious...they delta has woken..and you all are scared. Scard you loose... We don't come online to envy lagos...even in your lagos..check au many naija deltans that reside there.. Na wao.. |

The op is not honest..na cunny man... Na so dem don they use style dey blame naija delta for the environmental degradation. While the steal the crude..and disrespect our traditional system. Enriching their region and developing their region with the proceed from the degradation.
Op, Your government believe that the delta regions are fools and illiterates..they made sure we stay down..and use few of our people to achieve that feat over the years..while the suck us.. What made them not to develop the naija delta or even delta and Rivers for the past 50years..yet they built Abuja, expanded lagos,kano,jigawa,e.t.c.. What's infrastructure has your government laid in Rivers for the past 30years..even the airport or seaport..what's happening to our wharfs..forget ship excuse..the whole delta has access to the ocean. why not develop it.
Now there is a conscious awaking in the delta of the vices used by you folks. To put us down..illiteracy is on the decline and people are beginning to ask questions..ideas are raised..actions taking..and you guys are getting scared..cos you..you the op knows the truth.. If not for the agitation will your government even accept the 13%.. Will your government accept amnesty? Our state representative have their weakness..yes..but we know their limits.
Inasmuch I don't support militancy and. Destruction..if that will draw the attention of your government to their obligation..then let the land burn.. This is 21century..don't come here reasoning. Like the south is in the 18 century.
Meanwhile please don't give me our son story..being there and doing nothing.. Because I guess we all know nigeria oil politics and truth behind Jonathan's candidacy, presidency, and politics.

Romance › Re: My Dilemma....lawyer Weds 3rd Class Graduate ? by ificatchmodeh: 12:53am On Oct 27, 2016 |
ozodigboo: What I'm about to say is the truth...i need honest answers pls. I'm not bothered with criticisms, just let your opinions be HONEST and am satisfied.
I'm in a dilemma....I'm a lawyer practising in anambra, been in a long distance relationship with a corper practising in Kwara. She will complete nysc next month. She knows that if things go well, marriage could be on the cards, but we're still getting to know each other. The last time she visited 2 weeks ago, we were discussing career prospects, i asked, she said she had 3rd class...later she said '' ordinary pass ''. But she was smiling while saying this. I didn't wanna push further in order not to give the impression that i'm more concerned about degree than finding a good person. She looks and sounds reasonably decent......or is she not ? I'm i mistaken ? 3rd class [ or ordinary pass ]for a lawyer......does it matter in marriage ?
OTHER QUESTIONS 1. If she really had that type of degree, could she still be a good girl ? The course she studied isn't that competitive.....3rd class means she may not have been going to class..so where has she been going to ? 2. last time she visited, she saw a pic of an old Flame of mine...i was calm. she asked nothing, i said nothing. [ quite unusual, maybe she didn't wanna ask because she didn't want me to ask back ]. 3. i jokingly told her i will come and visit her in ilorin, she wasn't really keen....is she hiding something ? or not ? she lives in a private catholic family house, but knows i can easily afford a hotel, so why the hesitance ?
** i found out from someone that she had a carryover...that alone doesn't mean 3rd class. And that '' someone'' couldn't give me additional info. i know i will eventually know [ she wants to give me her CV and results at the end of nysc for job search etc] but i want to make up my mind asap....that's why i came here. THANK YOU ALL My friend, your post is unnecessary..especially the qualification. You're not ready for marriage..believe me...tho you may think otherwise. |
