Sometimes I laugh when people are talking about any alliance or whatsoever.

See, yorubas vote base on performance and not religious sentiments, ethnicity etc.
Many yorubas voted for Jonathan in 2011 not because of tinubu or anything but because we trusted Jonathan and he showed early signs that things will improve in Nigeria. But after winning the election, Jonathan went ahead to surround himself with corrupt elements that made his reign as President a complete disaster.

Don't forget that the same yorubas most igbos Now call cowards went to protest on behalf of Jonathan a fellow Southerner when the northern oligarchy wanted power to remain in the north at all cost. The likes of tinubu, Tunde bakare, wole Soyinka all protested the maltreatment of Jonathan while the so called igbos forming comrades to Jonathan today were no where to be found.

When we talk about alliances then we need to talk about igbo alliances with the North. .the first coalition government in Nigeria was formed by the igbos and Hausa Fulani. tafewa balewa was the Prime Minister while nnamdi azikwe was just a mere ceremonial president.

In 1979 and 1983 , despite the fact that igbos hated the northerners for what they did to their kinsmen in the north but that didn't stop them from voting a Hausa Fulani man shehu shagari.. In that same 1979 the UPN presented Awolowo and a candidate from anambra state. a southern alliance.


The so called alliance they said yorubas formed with the North in 2015 can't be said to be total. .because many people voted for Jonathan and the majority that voted for buhari did so because of Jonathan's failure.

The yorubas have always been an advocate of restructuring, despite being in opposition for some years I think we have achieved a lot than the "AGIP "region. Tinubu felt the south west could benefit more if we joined the government at the centre under a purposeful administration.

Now if we don't succeed in that, we simply re strategise and try other options.. That's what we call politics. That was what Awolowo tried to do also. When you lose you re-strategise.

It still doesn't stop the fact that south west is the most viable region in Nigeria in terms of social amenities and infrastructures.. .believe me I have been to other regions and i know why they all flock here in numbers.

Another thing is that south west holds the key to a lot of things, the northern oligarchy fears them most. We have always been opposing northern forces whereas our so called brothers from the east never had the guts to do so.. We have the highest number of activists and lawyers in Nigeria . We control the Nigerian press hereby influencing public opinion of everybody.

Believe me if yorubas want the igbos to have their biafra today they will get it because they can't do anything without us, even ojukwu needed our help.

And i can only guess the reason why many igbos hate yorubas today is because they have not been supporting their agitations. even though prof wole Soyinka recently supported them but this same people will abuse this man.. Especially when they start comparing a Nobel laureate to a chinua Achebe.

Am very sure the igbos calling yorubas Fulani slaves will vote the same Fulani come 2019 ,because your darling Party PDP have zoned the President slot to the north.

Now tell me who is the real slave here, is it the people that can't afford to stay in the opposition and build their own political force but instead will align with the same people they despise so much, same people they claim massacred them in 1967.

Please igbos stop worrying for yorubas coz the yorubas nation will always be fine.instead worry for yourselves.
