I don't believe that story one bit. No woman will be that foolish. If she can fool her husband, family, friends and whole world all these years about the Children's paternity then I don't see her being that foolish or stupid.

Believe Naija blog/whatsapp broadcast/Instastory / tweet amebo at your own risk.

Giddyperson:
I don't know how anyone has the patience for these kind of investments. I find the interest rate to this FGN Savings Bond to be ridiculously low. 13% per annum. Rich men might stash away money for their children this way, but if you're middle class and lets say you have a million naira to spare and you invest that in FGNSB for your child, at the end of the year your baby would have made only additional N130, 000.00.Since it has a 2-3 year maturity rate, at the end of two-three years he'd have made N1, 260,000.00-N1, 390,000.00. Either way adunbulivit. I don't have that kinda patience biko. Agreed, its extremely low risk but my Anambra husband would tell you to give him the money let him double it in six months rather that FGN's 8 years.

Anyway my opinion is if the sum you have to invest is not something that can reasonably help the life of the child if anything happens to you, then I'd rather invest it in hustling while there is life. Either that or I'd make riskier investments that are more profit yielding.
Nwanyi Anya ukwu Anambra, I'm not sure you'd get anything else that is 100% safe + give you a higher yield, not even in UK or US.

Abacus funds (investment one product) and gtb sks account is what I use for all my GC's. Start an Abacus fund with any amount and reinvest the interest. Transfer a fixed amount each month (their birth date preferably) to their SkS account, then move it every quarter to the Abacus account.

No withdrawal on any. Just keep topping up with even as low as 5K monthly. It will come in very handy to pay school fees or Uni fees in US one day. Definitely better than "hustling with the money", Imo.

Ps: mutual funds is good too. I'm just skeptical about FG bonds for now, but that's just me.

Good day nairalanders
Happy sunday

I entered Abuja from east about 3 weeks ago to sort some issue for some money I was expecting this June. I really don't know anybody in Abuja so Iooked for a cheap hotel online which I got in Kubwa.

I agreed with the manager to pay 20k weekly. I paid 40k for 2 weeks which was the much I had on me. Had to reserve some money for other expenses. But unfortunately for me the money was delayed and I should be receving it 2nd week of July. I tried to explain to the manager that we could have an arrangement that I would clear the bill before i check out even with interest.

He refused and by then I have stayed a week on top. I had to call my friends owing me(the ones I memorized their numbers) if they could send me something but they were so nice to disappoint. Selling my phone to sort the bill would have been a nice idea but unfortunately for me the phone (iphone 6) was stolen on the first week of my arrival.

The manager seized my bag with my intl passport and drove me out in the middle of the night on Friday night for a bill of 20k

When flying low end airlines with stop overs, best to prepare for the worst.

Forgetting luggage and long, sudden stop overs in Casablanca is a long time trade mark of Air Maroc. It's not because it's a Nigerian flight, they do it on all their flights and routes.

They are relatively safe though as they've kept a clean slate.

Name and shame. Name the travel agency. That's one way to stop them.

@OP, E Pele. Not new. Most foreign airlines will accept Cc payment but you must present yourself physically with the cc and valid identification before the travel date at any of their offices closest to you for final validation.

emekabros2:
Pls Ladies if you are not ready to mother a child don't get pregnant, you know how to do it don't ask me. As we stepped out for our birthday paroll(me & my daughter) getting to oilmill fly-over before Eleme Junction we saw poeple gathering, when I heard a voice saying "the baby was crying"  as a mother i decided to stop by only for us to see this act of wickedness.

Why not take the baby to the Orphanage after nine months pregnancy. It pains me that I didn't meet the baby alive I would have the happiest person on earth today. The same child poeple are looking for is what a lady dumped on the road to die. An innocent child not given an opportunity to spend a day on earth. My prayers is that God should forgive the mother though she is this wicked.

The orphanages are filled to the brim and hungry too. how many times on average does a Nigerian visit and donate to an orphanage? The owners are at loss and some folding up because of lack of funds. besides, no orphanage will receive a child from you without proper documentation unless you are talking about baby factories.

Abortion is an option. its better than going through pregnancy and dumping the child by the road side. i dont want to go into the details of what life/future lies ahead the child now: A visit to a government ran orphanage home will convince you. . .that is if the dpo does not sell the baby off to the highest bidder when the dust settles.
