I don't knw if he was actually sedated but I called his elder broda dis evening around 6pm and he told me Hamed is sleeping. He further said all the 2weeks dey spent in LUTH, hamed culdnt sleep at all but as soon as they got to abk, he was attended to after which Hamed was able to sleep.
But a NL here concluded he was been sedated but the broda didn't mention anything like 'sedation'.
Is he still sleeping? Since when to when?

My Yoruba is rusty but i can try, where or how can i get his number? How come no one here have spoken to DJ himself today ?

I hope he got the right hospital bro? From Abeokuta now Oyo. Hian! Indeed God created a variety of humans.
It's a remote, farming, quite village in Oyo state.

The man/doctor is a certified medical doctor but obviously, DJ's case is not just too delicate but has also gone too far for such a place.
Health › Re: I Need Help by ifyalways(f): 7:44pm On Nov 10, 2014
Me,in my goody two shoes, hastily rang a Reddington doctor who was on vacation in far away US,pleading with him to help me ease DJ's admission ie Dr Joe Susi. Things were looking up and suddenly, I heard they are taking him to Abeokuta/Erewa.

A picture of the said hospital and doctor , and its at Eruwa,Oyo state not Abeokuta.

I have been watching all that has been happening from the sidelines since making my contribution on Saturday or so. Am now certain that Satan is powerful. Upon all the prayers, time, money, calls and advices invested on the Young man; A NATIVE DOCTOR IN ABEOKWUTE IS THE BEST ALTERNATIVE TO PRIVATE HOSPITALS WITH CERTIFIED DOCTORS? SMH. So there are no more specialist hospitals in Abuja, Lagos or Port-Harcourt? I just pray and wish the doctor is good. Even after all the journey from Lagos to Abeokwute, the doctor said he can't see him today still... Ok na. At this juncture, I may not offer any further material help till I see any serious effort from this guys family. Am not giving up on him though. He is strongly in my prayers. Jisienu ike!
My dear, I share same sentiments.

My heart bleeds.

Make I log out before I break my screen jare.

Could this be a little improvement?

God's perfect healing on him in Jesus name
What do u expect the family to say? They took him there so they must justify their actions: right or wrong.

I'm actually not sure I would have bothered with this thread if from the get- go I knew there were plans to take him to abeokuta/Erewa.

I just feel so angry. . . May God give us wisdom. And good health.

This is just too much.

I'm struggling to understand DJ's family thought process. I'm trying so hard.

They could have gone to UCH, or any other hospital today and seen a doctor instead of waiting till whenever to see this abeokuta doctor undecided

Na wao.

Bombarding the doctor with calls is not a good idea. Who even posted the doctors personal number on NLD? That's breach of privacy, unless the doctor gave his consent.

I have had communication challenges with the family. We both don't have a language we understand
Thank you.

Today is almost gone, no tangible update besides making the trip to Abeokuta/ Eruwa.

This is so sad.

Na wa o! these are the things we keep shouting about. Nigerian medical care has a long way to go. I just got off the phone with DJDOLAs elder brother and he said they are at the abeokuta hospital and are "waiting for their turn" and " their turn might be by 6pm". An emergency being made to wait for 2 whole hours? He did say the OP has been sedated and is now sleeping.

Na siddon look I dey. First impression they say matters. A proper medical set up would wisk the OP straight into ICU and not even sedated yet because already he is having difficulty breathing and is takibg shallow breaths. This is just a big mess.
I love your criticisms and straight up talk but easy with the negativity.

You and I ain't on ground, we actually don't have ALL the information. Please, let's not kill the OP before his time. Words CAN be powerful.

Any update thus far?

I took some time to google the abeokuta clinic, not as bad as painted on this thread. The man is a certified medical practitioner, whether he will be able to handle the OP is what I can't say.

Not as bad as it's painted, people. . .

Op, You are in my prayers. It is well

Passport can be processed and ready by morrow evening,I have that link but theres no way he would get Indian visa in less than 7 days at most, realistically speaking. So many worst cases already on ground at the Indian embassy. Besides, ticket, logistics , going back and forth with family would delay the whole process. We dont have that luxury of time.

@Caracta, what do you suggest we work with as plan B? Where does the OP stay?

My dear it is Reddington Hospital on Idowu Martins Street, off Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island. They are the best private hospital in. Lagos but the cost is way too expensive.
I could make a few calls, if they want to go to Reddington. Expensive but health is wealth.

@Artistree, so the family is bothered about ordinary embarrassment as against a human life at stake? SMH. I hope OP has his atm card/pin/account access. Some people have no conscience once money is involved.

There are other good, not too expensive hospitals in Lagos he could go to eg : Eko hospital, Premier hospital, lagoon etc.

CC, I'm reading the thread oo. Thanks for the mention

Abeokuta of all places? I hope its not family influencing that decision, trying to cut costs. Money sometimes can overwhelm some people undecided NLD could have handled this differently, get him a specialist and send dontaions directly to TEHN/hospital . . .

I wish the OP well.

sorry for my interference.. Thats a pure scam. Thats not possible cos before he could send the payment.. Paypal will ask him to view and be sure of the reciever details. So, when paypal asked him to do this. He's sleeping..
Paypal knew that mistakes are bound to happen.
Hence, they did the safety precautionary measures asking u to check reciever details before clicking the confirm button.
Madam, make u na no gree for the guy.. Its a lie.. Naija and money palava.. Greediness everywhere.
Thank you.

I'm simply amazed.

Let's assume he made the mistake which I'm sure he didn't,he should be refunded once he/she contact the account owner.
If the account owner didn't refund it willingly,he should create/file/open a dispute on the transaction and he will surely get the money
back.
Anyways, that is his own problem/palava as he should refund you if he is saying he can't get the money back because that is a big lie.
Thank you.

The people involved are people I trust, do I'm being very careful. I told my husband who uses paypal frequently and he not just was pissed I asked such a mumu question but is equally dismissed the whole thing as scam.

I don't know anything about paypal, so I say make I ask here oo. Thanks

Don't worry! He will excalate this with the transaction ID
Legalwealth. I need your opinion and advisory please : -

A friend of mine gave another friend 660 euro's to make a paypal payment for him. Both are residents in Naija.

Friend B(who is supposed to pay via paypal) said he mistakenly sent the money to another paypal account. What really happened was: Friend A had an email link from the merchant he wanted to pay. The link contained merchants name, paypal address etc. Now friend A forwarded that mail to Friend b for payment.

Hours later, friend B calls to say he mistakenly sent the money to another paypal account. Someone he's had a transaction with in the past. Now, its almost 3 weeks, the guy that was mistakenly sent the money has since claimed it., has refused to return it. Friend A is worried, needs the money badly.

My questions :
How could friend B have made that mistake ?
How can the money be retrieved?

Thanks smiley
