God bless you Hauwa, I just stumbled on this. DJDOLA needs to get on a private ambulance and be whisked straight to UCH or Reddington Hospital asap.

Like CC said the whole thing should have been coordinated by tehn as usual and paid directly to the hospital then keep donors informed like during Folakes case, even though she sadly died people were not upset after their efforts because they knew what was going on and the family cooperated fully.

But sadly it was impromptu and Carcata wasnt able to locate him that day.

Lets keep our fingers crossed till they see the doctor then take it from there

When it is known what the family plans to do exactly and what the doctor is actually doing before sending any more money. I am saying this because people may get heartbroken if this hospital Abeokuta / Oyo turns out to be money down the drain and may negatively affect others who need help in the future.

People are contributing money and emotions. The initial request was for Luth and others suggested other good hospitals suddenly its a rural medicine specialist who obviously runs a one man show that is the option.

Please no more money, let us know what is being done, how much is needed and a way forward

I think this should, one way or another, be communicated to the family. It might help.them make a faster/ better decision.

I have already gotten the hospital thru a friend in Ibarapa. The hospital is in Eruwa, Oyo state. He should be able to help to check on him either this evening or tomorrow morning!!

please be a little more patient. Even though your idea was a good idea they were a whole of procedures to go throw
- getting DJ and his "caregiver" passports and visas
- getting plan tickets
- arranging with a hospital abroad
- ensuring that we would still have contact with the OP
- raising more funds for other expenses that could be incurred during the stay in India/ Dubai
- raising sufficient funds for the medical treatment itself

All of this could have been done if the case had been verified earlier, but at this point and time its much more risky to expect the OP to just lay there at home until he gets a a passport and visa and keeping it in mind that that he was not even given a proper diagnosis and a medical report by a doctor which could have made it easier to get the passport and the visas urgently.

Me,in my goody two shoes,hastily rang a Reddington doctor who was on vacation in far away US,pleading with him to help me ease DJ's admission ie Dr Joe Susi. Things were looking up and suddenly, I heard they are taking him to Abeokuta/Erewa.

Nigerian medical care has a long way to go. just got off the phone with DJDOLAs elder brother and he said they are at the abeokuta hospital and are "waiting for their turn" and " their turn might be by 6pm". An emergency being made to wait for 2 whole hours? He did say the OP has been sedated and is now sleeping.

Na siddon look I dey. First impression they say matters. A proper medical set up would wisk the OP straight into ICU and not even sedated yet because already he is having difficulty breathing and is takibg shallow breaths. This is just a big mess.

It's a remote,farming, quite village in Oyo state.

The man/doctor is a certified medical doctor but obviously, DJ's case is not just too delicate but has also gone too far for such a place.
