TV/Movies / Re: Tobi Bakre Wins AMVCA Best Actor In A Drama, Movie Or Tv Series by igaro: 1:12pm On May 22, 2023
Olodo24:
Nigerians love bandwagon. They worship popular movies with mass appeal. Tobi didn't even deserve the nomination if we're being honest cos he didn't even give the best performance in his film. Basketmouth, Sam Dede, OC Ukeje and Toni Tones left him in the dark. He was only better than Falz (I still don't buy him as an actor) and Dorathy. Dude was just the same the entire time with his forced charisma reading some poorly written lines. I think I'm the only person who doesn't believe his hype.

Chidi and Blossom were the deserving ones here. Blossom's final moment alone is better than everything Tobi did in Brotherhood.

It is the "lack of sense" that brought him so much money. Basket mouth should settle down with Mimi of flatmate. Their relationship on flatmate has lasted more than basket mouth marriage in real life.

Like I said somewhere if Nigeria were state run no state would take this risk of chasing an investor away.
These people in their hypocrisy believe that alcohol tax from Lagos will still get to them.
They believe that by destroying their IGR sources, income will still come Niger Delta oil.

He should come back to defend his story o...
Was it a premeditated intrusion?
Have the massive twin peaks and crazy physique held him hostage and making him imagine things that are not?
Op, answers pls!!grin cool

How could it have been a pre-meditated move?! Lights on by 2pm in da day, door was habitually ajar, d laundry lady claimed that she was even to have been at d market at that time... what was i to do?...shout 'who is there?' as if in da bush! after constantly & unnecessary paying power bills due to such regular irresponsibilities! No ö, i never knew she was there ö, i was only trying to cut wastages!
Family / Help! Maid Now Hounds Me In The House Because I Saw Her unclothedness! by igaro: 1:27pm On Feb 26, 2013
Recently, I gave a strict warning at home that no light must be on whenever there is nobody in the particular room (Prepaid meter blues). One evening, I saw the maid's light on and muttered, 'these people no dey hear word ' and entered to switch it off only to see the maid in her naked glory towelling both her huge 'twin peaks' (she' about 20 yrs with a crazy physique for a local girl)...Quickly I froze, apologized and chastised her there why she couldn't shut the door. She just smiled and said 'sorry sir'. Since then she's been giving me some stupid coy looks, and looking for every opportunity to sweep my room whenever my wife isn't home etc etc. Should i just tell my wife what happened?, Should I fire her because of this her new funny attitude? Or Should I simply ignore and play along o? huhhh!
Family / Re: Wife Wants To Meet An Uncle In A Hotel For Cheque To Meet Her Deposit Target by igaro: 5:32pm On Dec 20, 2012
igaro: Is it proper for a guy to allow his wife, a God fearing woman, the leeway to go meet an uncle (not related o, just family friends) at a hotel he's lodged in, simply because he wants to assist her with a deposit into his account which will inturn reflect as a boost on her own target in the bank for that month?

Whoa, Fellas can u imagine?!…it turned out that the Uncle came into Lagos on Dec. 18th, Tuesday for a conference being held at the hotel on the 19th (learnt he was a keynote speaker) and practically ensured that the lady in question sat in the audience throughout the duration of his lecture (on the grounds that being a banker, she should update herself with current trends in the global money/capital markets…imagine grin). Thereafter his presentation and photograph session, he dashed to the car-park with the lady in tow, gave her a hefty cheque, sent his regards to the husband and her kids and zoomed off to catch his flight @ d airport.

Phones / Re: Why Is BlackBerry Seen As Prestigious In Nigeria? by igaro: 9:27am On Dec 08, 2012
Billyonaire: You have made a valid point. I have both BB and Android phones ranging from Galaxy Tab to Galaxy Note, none gives the economy found on BB, apart from just 3k per month on MTN, the call rates are reduced about 19kobo. MY Galaxy Note, 200MB of Data costs me 1000 Naira and I exhaust it in one day using same youtube and media sites I use with BB that lasts a month. I want someone to tell me without sentiment what application I need in a phone that could make me follow the hateful bandwagon...of BB haters.
Gbagaun! True yarns.

Business / How Not To Run A Business: Key Pitfalls To Avoid! by igaro: 9:54pm On Sep 05, 2012
Hi guys,

My friends and i are about starting an advertising/print business, but looking at many startups in nigeria that commenced operation In d last 10years, few amongst them are still fully functional.

This i believe has been due to different social, political and economic factors in the country. However, many have failed due to poor management decisions and greed, inept processes and procedure.

It would be appreciated if the house can shed more light on the key pitfalls to avoid when starting or running a business so that it won't fail.

i would suggest that you stop dissipating negative energy by wasting your emotions on being egocentric. if you stop being bothered am positive something good will come up faster than you think. but pls when your breakthrough comes, don't ever forget your wife and always hold her in high esteem.

Wrong impression. 'Have never been and will never be egocentric, esp. with her. just that one has never been in such a position before hence the mixed /confused feelings.  I appreciate and love her a lot and constantly let her know.
10x though.
Regards.

You can also look for a cathederal or church around you when you neeed solitude. Most cathedrals and churches are usually very quiet in the afternoons, believe me you will so much enjoy the environment. Just keep praying and dont let them come btw you and your wife, some inlaws are pain in the neck. The best

Thanks.Thats never been thot of till now taht you mentioned it. God bless you.

Wetin concern your inlaws, let them run their commentary as much as they want to as long as your wife does not rub it in your face. people will always talk, man you are blessed and people are only jealous because you are not totally down due to the loss of your job. Don't let them break your marriage, be strong and happy.

But why doo you want to be alone?

THere's this tendency to be alone with no distraction and think of ways to get out of the job quandry, thats just it.

Gracial all,
All comments appreciated. But the thing is the job situation is really disturbing necessitating the need to be alone many times.
Moreso, some of her family know about this situation, as some pass "tongue in cheek comments " atimes.
But they are in-laws,  what can one do?!?!
